  1. My general questions!

Get yourself set up with a nozzle holder and the appropriate nozzels to ds your chems on the house. Will cut your time way down compared to the 12 foot lance and much easier on the back. Not sure on the wax but some people have said they use some type of car wash wax with success. Also heard nothing but good things about the "wet wax" from Russel and South Side Implement I think. F13 for the gutters Bleach for the roofs. Some people add some sort of soap on the steep pitched roofs just to give the sh some cling.
  2. Paint on viynl siding

Not sure if it will work on paint but purple power took some old solid stain off of some vinyl siding for a customer of ours.
  3. Who has used SafeRestore?

I have also used safe restore on a number of rust removal projects and other things. Those of you that use it on larger jobs like the hospital that was metioned are you still applying it straight with a pump sprayer? Seems like it would take forever and be crazy expensive?
  4. I can't answer #1 either, but for the battery the shop here in town recommended one of the deep cycle gel batteries that go in the motorized wheel chairs. Just started using mine the other day to run the deckster for about 4 hours with no problems. They said is should last a few days on one charge with intermintent use.
  5. You are correct about the xjet and ds. I would say definately go with downstreaming. That way you don't have to carry the bucket of chem around with you. It is nice to have an xjet on hand though for those times you might need the chem a little stronger. You will definately want a seperate set up for roof washing. Downstreaming or an xjet won't get the chems on strong enough for most roofs.
  6. Looks good. Im thinkin about trying readyseal myself. Right now I use all AC. Mostly semi trans cedar.
  7. Never knew it took so much

Sounds like your definately on the right path. I've been in the biz over 3 years now and still find myself needing to buy all kinds of new tools and equipment all the time. Probably wouldn't have to but just find that some things work better, faster, and easier and just have to have them ya know.
  8. Sprayer Cart

Impressive looking sprayer set up. My question is where in the heck did you get that monster wagon? Also, could a guy use quick connects somehow right by the pump to have a seperate hose to draw from a stain can instead of having to put stain in the 15 gal container? Thanks.
  9. Kbk???????

He relocated to Texas I think it was. I had tried to get ahold of him to design me some postcards also. About a month later he sent an email saying that he had relocated and is ready to continue doing business. Thats all I know.
  10. Couple of general newbie questions

Not sure on the goggles. Simple cherry from Pressure Tek is really good stuff for most types of siding and about anything else. I've heard some good things about Cleansol BC from Eacochem. Have some in my garage but haven't tried it yet. You can usually find a good general degreaser at your local pw shop. F8 or oxalic for rust removal or concrete brightening. Thats my 2 cents Im sure others will chime in with more and probably better ideas..haha
  11. JL's new ride

    Nice lookin truck!
  12. I just ordered some Panel Brite also. Cant wait to give it a try.
  13. Rust on Vinyl

+2 on the oxalic. I use F8 from pressure tek and on really bad rust I have used safe restore but its quite a bit more spendy.
  14. Gutter gloves

The neoprene ice fishin style gloves might work well also. They are 100% waterproof and warm but are still thin enough to work efficiently. You could probably find them at www.cabellas.com or I even found a pair at the local Walmart.
  15. Clean start and seal it.

Never had to use it yet but I've heard on here and other boards that tagaway and taginator work well. Depends on the surface which product you would use. Pressure Washers, Power Washers, Pumps, Chemicals, Accessories and more!
  16. I take it you got the job then..haha I was out by the lake the other day and saw a guy blastin the heck outta his gray cedar fence with a turbo nozzle. Didnt bother stopping...lol
  17. Lake water on brick

I agree! Im pretty new to the pw biz but I've used Safe Restore from Eacochem on a lot of different things and it hasn't failed me yet!
  18. patio floor

Where do you get your lambskin pads? Im looking for somthing fairly big to cover quite a bit of sq ft quickly. I was using the 18 inch pads from The Sealer Store but they are out of stock. Looking for somthing I can order online and get quickly. Thanks
  19. Ok I did a search for Boosted HD-80 and it didnt come up with too much. I've turned down solid stained decks so far but want to try some and see how it works. Im nowhere near a chemist so please give me exact names of products too boost with, the starting ratios and where I might buy them. Also can F-18 be boosted and with what? Thanks again
  20. Ill second that. Looks great. Congrats on an awesome job!
  21. That looks amazing!! Good Work. Should be a good pay day for ya!
  22. Hey thanks for the info. I will definately give it a try. I've got to go do a test spot on a failing solid tonight. How's buisness been over that way? Had a bit of a slow start over this way "1st year in the biz" but things are picking up good now. I should have a web site up in the next week or two with some good before and afters. I think that should help some. One other question. What is the shelf life of stippers such as HD80 and F-18 after they have been mixed and boosted? Thanks again for the tip.
  23. Thanks for the info. Will give it a try!
