  1. Thank you all for the input. It is an overspray issue for me. The time I save is worth having an extra spray bottle around just in case one bites the dust.
  2. Rod, Do you have any suggestions as to what you all prefer?
  3. Website feedback 2 help!!!

Mike, The site look very nice. My only comment would be to change the contract for the background or the color of the text from white to black in the center of the window. The bricks hide the message when shown in white or yellow. Best of luck and don't forget the key words for the search engines. Jim
  4. Estimates - how do you handle them?

Our only source of advertising is on the Internet. No yellow pages, flyers or other print media such as mailers. We do not require potential clients to be on site while we gather our information for an estimate. If the potential client meets with us, we do provide them with multi-color sales glossies which illustrate before and after results. Normally our clients have been to our web site before they called us. Further, our customers are all email ready. We go to their site, take measurements, take prictures and conduct tests if they are required. We tie all of this information together and provide our prospects with an Excel or HTML estimate with all of the line by line details. We supply digital pictures as required to back up additional costs to the estimates. While we are higher than our competitors, our potential customers know by our presentation that we dot the iiiiiiiii's and cross the tttttttt's. Our close rate is about 90 percent.
  5. I need to replace the trigering mechanisum on the adjustable pressure gun that comes with the Decker5. The only information I have is from the inside of the gun, 3200 PSI, 220 BAR. I am clue less as to who actually manufactures the gun. Any pointer who makes the gun would be greatly appreciated.
  6. white brick

Rodney, we do a lot of brick and stone restoration work. We use the Prosoco products for most all of our chemicals. Take a look at www.prosoco.com
  7. estimating Sheet

  8. Cannon, I ran a test last week with a Whisper surface cleaner (with a skirt - no wheels) at 950 psi. I worked fine. The wood was PT pine and is about 10 years old. I am going to run my second test next week. I am going to test the techniques I am developing over the next 6 months and if all goes well, I will publish a paper on the topic. The key is to start moving the surface cleaner and then engage the trigger for pressure. KEEP the surface cleaner moving. Use a gauge to make sure you know exactly how much pressure you are applying. Experiment on your own deck before you do any commercial or residential work. Hope this helps.
