  1. ***CAUTION***

If you hotwire the fuel solenoid ***DO NOT LEAVE THE WIRING THIS WAY***

It is very dangerous. the burner will stay lit even when you release the trigger.

This can cause a Steam-out condition.

Your Machine coils can blow up!!!

Your hoses can pop and burn you and put you in the hospital.

    This is serious.

Before you get started make notes of the wiring and put them back where they were.

The easiest way to test the solenoid coil is to pull it off of the body and stick a

phllips screw driver thru the hole in the coil.

With the burner running and the trigger pulled the coil should hold the screw driver like a magnet.

When you release the trigger it should let go of the screw driver.

If it does not do this then you can look at the wiring.

  2. No need to raise the tank. Even a direct drive pump will pull from 14 feet.

The trick is to have the tank as close to the pump as you can without burning a hole in the tank. Hard plumb the fittings and install a check valve near the output of the tank so the water stays in the line as it is pulled from the tank. This will stop the pump from loosing prime. I like to use 1 inch grey pvc for my installs. Also install a water filter in line.

  3. Just wanted to add my two cents worth.

Never buy the Brass Male ends they don't last. Get the Steel or Stainless male plugs.

The brass Females are good but, Keep them lubed up.

Also here is a little trick. Lets say you have the Quick couplers between the gun and hose. Put a Male on the hose and the female on the gun. Why?

When under pressure the couplers push and pull against eachother when you pull the trigger. When the male is on the gun it wears out faster than when the female is on the gun. I'm sure there is some scientific reason for this. I notticed that Landa Always runs them this way.
