Thanks Beth. I hate to say it but they have a tendency to overreact down here now due to past storm expeiences. If we absolutely have to leave we may do so in the morning. We are not supposed to get hit until tomorrow evening...

The other company must have been one of those" I don't get off the recliner and start my truck for less that $1000 companies." God job on saving them $$. I'm not a big fan of anyone trying to way over charge on a small simple job. Its just wrong. Hopefully you will gain more work from this.

Dan you should just get a manufactured home down here in a park and come down in the winter and work. You would probably never leave though! LOL Winters down here in Florida are beautiful. Everything is always green and colorful and the weather is perfect...

I'm originally from RI. Been here in Florida since 1990. I know all to well what the weather is like. The rest of my family is still up there. You guys have sure had alot of rain this year.

If it is sulfur rust from the sprinkler system Ox or Rust-aid will do just fine to remove it. A little in a pump sprayer and your good to go. Lowes or HD. Aprox $8.00 per gal. You can dilute it but I wouldn't put too much water. Hope this helps.

My first car was a 1973 Pontiac Grand Prix. She was loaded as far as loaded goes back then. She had a 400 4 barrell 4 speed auto with a b&m shift kit in it. That thing would hit 48mph and chirp into 2nd gear every time I had my foot to the floor. Used to race all over with her. It was a heavy car but man she could move. Sure do miss that car!

What about having the alarm set on radio. My wife uses the radio setting. When the alarm goes off and a song is on that always seems to end up being the song of the day that is stuck in my head. :dance: I'll be working ,driving,:vroom: etc... and even the thoughts in my head are Playing to the same tune that I heard when the alarm went off in the morning... Good Lord... It sounds like I need proffessional help! LOL Anyone else have this problem or am I just going batty? :bat: LOL

I Vote for a clogged water filter feed. This happened to me a few weeks ago. I thought the pump let go on me. Just clogged. Easy fix!

I had to run out for a bit to do a few things this morning. When I returned I was greeted by about 15 Non english speaking folks all armed with pressure Washers. About 6-7 of them are walking around with God only knows what in pump up sprayers and spraying the breezeways. The rest of them are more or less attempting to rinse down the hallways and stairwells with what looks like Karcher gas powered machines. I'm dying to see how this will turn out! And of all days to be doing a job in an apartment complex when 90% of the people are home and running in and out all day long, A saturday! I live in a very nice apartment community where there are 13 bldgs and 334 units. The leasing office had approached me aprox 2.1/2 yrs ago to clean up all the breezeways and concrete walks and retaining walls. I gave them a bid which was well within their budget and never heard anything except that my bid was the only one accepted by the corp office. Since then they have had the maint. crew out doing the cleaning from time to time. I resubmitted my bid again about 3 months ago because they were getting nasty again. Never heard a word. I guess I got my answer this morning! They also hired a company last year to do all the roofs. They missed an entire bldg. LOL. You can actually go on google earth and see the bldg that they missed from a satellite. Just another example of "You get what you pay for." I'll try and get some pics of final outcome.

Hey Kory, Yea we thought about that awile back and started looking around but for the money we pay and for what all is included it really is a good deal and a nice place to live. Besides,,, I hate the idea of packing , moving, changing all ya stuff over etc... We have a nice apt. with all the ammenities. Huge pool, hot tub, gym, no maint worries or lawn care problems etc...

I Basically Live on the Saint Petersburg, Clearwater line. I'm only about 15 min from Kenneth City. I do alot of work over there. My step son used to live right off 54th avenue near 66th street... Small world aye!

As far as Power washing goes most of the cleanings I do are for Concrete driveways and walks, Soft Wash house washing which includes everything from vinyl sidded homes, block stucco, mobile and manufactured homes etc... and commercial bldg exteriors. I clean a lot of pool deck and enclosures and the occational vinyl fence, wood fence, boat docks, patio's etc... As far as roofs go I clean both Tile and Shingle Roofs. Up until about 2 yrs ago I was doing them all the old fashioned way with just using a pressure washer. About 2 yrs ago I learned about Non pressure cleaning methods of chemically cleaning Roofs. Through trial and error I learned from my mistakes on how to do them properly without causing damage. These boards have also been very, very helpful as far as refining my methods. Now the only time I actually Pressure Wash a Roof is when I have to do a paint prep on a Tile roof for a customer or for one of the many painting contractors that I do paint prepping for. I love pressure washing but I really love the financial benifits of cleaning roofs even more.

Hey guys, I've been wanting to jump on this board for awile but forgot my password an just ever got around to coming back. I hope I filled out my signature stuff ok. I guess this is kind of a test post. I already posted once but it was brought to my attention that I shoud Probably post my intro here. Anyway, My name is Larry Millette and I'm the owner and operator of All Surface Pressure Cleaning Inc in Saint Petersburg Florida. Some of you may know me from PT State and from over at ***. I do alot of Flat work pressure cleaning, Non pressure Tile and Shingle Roof Cleaning and all the usual that goes along with it. Most of the work I do is in Pinellas County Florida but I also do some in Manatee, Pasco and Hillsborough Counties as well but not much. I've been told by a few guys that this was a great board and I guess I should have come over sooner. I hope to be able to learn, share and have a good time here. I would also like to thank Chris Tucker for lighting a fire under my butt to start posting here. I hate being the new guy but I guess ya gotta start somewhere.
