  1. American Idol - How Did YOU Vote ?

Well put! I totally agree with the look on Simon's face...I think the others were in shock also but covered it up a little better although Randy did look a bit surprised also...Adam had it all the way. I just think way too many tennie boppers out there were voting for Chris...
  2. American Idol - How Did YOU Vote ?

My wife has been banging on the phone keys voting since day 1...I really think Adam should have gotten it. Chris can sing but Adam is a whole lot better.......My God,,,Listen to me...Shush! Don't tell anyone I watch it...
  3. What kind of Dawn are ya'll using?

Back off Jeff...Jon is mine now! LOL...:D
  4. What kind of Dawn are ya'll using?

I'm kinda a Mr. over do it guy myself. I normally deal with 30-50 gal in my tanks but if I was only gonna use a 5gal I would go with about a 1/4 to 1/2 cup of Dawn. Mix well and DS... You'll see some great soaping action. Rinse well!
  5. What kind of Dawn are ya'll using?

I used to spend upwards of $300.00-$400.00 per month on House Wash detergents for Down streaming etc... I ran out one day and the wife said here try some Dawn what can it hurt. I never looked back!!! Now I may spend $40.00-$60.00 on Dawn per month and to me it works a lot better than all that fancy soap that is WAY over priced. Dan your a micro mananaging #'s kinda guy...Do the math on that one!
  6. What kind of Dawn are ya'll using?

Hahaha! I did that too in a resturaunt that I worked at when I was a kid. the manager came back there and started gagging. He asked if I was trying to kill myself. LOL...The floor looked pretty Clean though. :)
  7. What kind of Dawn are ya'll using?

Since when does Dawn have ammonia in it anyway? You can use other dish soaps if you can't find reg Dawn for Roof Cleaning and House Washing. Try some of the scented Joy dish soaps. they work pretty well also.
  8. I Couldn't Pass This One Up!

We were on our way home today from stopping by a friends house when I just happened to look over to a Pawn Shop that was having a tent sale. the first thing that caught my eye was a Hot Box so I made a U-turn to check it out. Turns out the Hot Box was just a small unit but sitting next to it was a 4000psi 4gpm PW'er with 50ft of hose and gun and lance. There was barely a scratch on it and I'm assuming it's been used maybe 15-20hrs by the looks of it. The sales girl brought out a hose and let me hook it up and run it. It runs like a champ. She said the guy who dropped it off 90 days ago never came back to get it...His loss,,,,My gain... They sold it to me for $337.49 with the hose and gun after they knocked off 25% from the original asking price. Honest to God it's like brand new. I couldn't pass it up... 9. I Couldn't Pass This One Up!

Just have the pump re-built...It's not that expensive...
  10. I Couldn't Pass This One Up!

No...All my machines are still running fine and I'm keeping them.
  11. I Couldn't Pass This One Up!

No I didn't get the Hot Box. It was actually real small and I've never heard of it. Can't even remember the name. I'm real happy with the PW'er though...:dancing::lgjump::lgkick::banana:
  12. Just wanted to say Happy Mothers Day to all the Moms out there. I lost my mom back in 1998 and I regret not telling her enough how much I appreciated all that she had done for me. Sometimes we take for granted all the little things our moms do and just figure that they will be with us forever. I have my moms ashes here with me. She sits in the living room with us and is a part of our everyday life. Funny, Sometimes I think I seem to talk to her more now than when she was alive. The really strange thing is that I truly believe she still hears and answers me. Not verbally but in many other ways! So to all of you who still have your moms and to all of you who's moms may have passed on, let them know how much you still love them. A cheap card, a small bouquet of flowers or even a quick phone call to say hello and I Love You can go a long way...Even to those who who are not here with us anymore. Trust me, they can still hear you! Happy Mothers day to all.
  13. house wash

Don't beat yourself up over it.... :lgbonk: I've gone to do jobs that I should have been in and out and they have taken me WAY longer than expected. I Clean a lot of Manufactured and Mobile Homes. I've actually started thinking that these Houses hate me. LOL... I'm sure that the gutters is what really slowed you down. Many times I can do a regular House Washing on a 2 story home faster than I can on one of those Mobile or Manufactered Houses.
  14. Networking works!

I network with a lot of different contractors in my area ranging from Painters, Pool Cleaning companies, Tree Trimming Companies etc...2 weeks ago I did 3 jobs that were from other Pressure Washing Contractors who got calls that were out of their area. One of them may be turning into a whole Professional Park Building and Concrete Cleaning job. I gave an estimate yesterday for another Commercial Concrete Cleaning job that one of the Painting Companies I network with got a call on and I'm currently working with another Roof Cleaning and Pressure Washing Contractor on 4 big Apartment Buildings and also on another which involves 242 Tile Roofs and Pressure Washing all the Houses in a Town Home / Villa Community. If that one goes through we will be busy for at least 2 months this summer on just that one alone. They are pretty big Town Homes / Villas. Networking is definitely one of the best resources out there for keeping busy and having a positive cash flow.
  15. Economy churning out more PW's?

I don't think there are enough guys doing it...I think more people should start. I really think I should see more than 10-15 PWer's in the back of guys pick-ups and trunks of cars every day. :rolleyes2 :thinking::thinking::thinking:
  16. About Time I Say Hello!

    Welcome to TGS....:)
  17. Happy Easter!

I just wanted to extend a Very Happy Easter to all of you (My extended family in BB land.) Gettting together with the family today for a nice Easter dinner cook out and some relaxation. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY today.
  18. What Are Your Favorite Household Products ?

Hahaha! That could make for an interesting combination.
  19. I've never asked for anything like this before from any of you but I've seen what the power of prayer has done for many folks in need on these BB's. One of my wifes best friends and mine is dying of cancer. We have known about it for some time but now the end is very near for her. We have been visiting her in a hospice hospital and now she has come home to die. We have been stopping by the house every chance we get to be with her. She is now in the last stages and the cancer has taken over her brain, spine and all her lymph nodes. She has stopped eating and drinking as of a couple of days ago and she can no longer speak. She is a very strong woman and one of the nicest people you would ever want to meet and surely doesn't deserve this but it is a fight she cannot win. I ask that you just say a quick prayer for her and ask the Lord to make her passing as easy as possible and that he take her in his arms and comfort her. This poor woman has suffered sooo much. Her name is Bonnie. Thanks in advance to all of you. I know that she and the Lord will hear your prayers.
  20. Screened In Porches

    I second that! :)
  21. Please say a Prayer for a dear Friend...Thank You!

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone for all your kind words and prayers and to let you know that Bonnie passed away this morning @ 10:15 am. The good Lord must have heard all of your prayers and decided it was time for her to go home where I'm sure her suffering has ended. Again, Thanks so much from the bottom of my heart and from Bonnie's family.
  22. I use a 4000 4gpm and can reach 3 stories with no problem using a 0030 or a 0040. As long as I'm not trying to knock out a hornets nest.
  23. Free Publicity

WOW Tom, That is way too cool. You sure lucked out with that guy calling you. Great Job!
  24. Removing whitewash off of red brick

Whitewash and strong 12.5% are not friends. Spraying all that brick down with a strong mix should melt that whitewash right off. Give it a try on a small area before you give up. I've removed whitewash before( without trying. Oops!). Use a Delevan or sureflow to apply it with. ds'ing won't be strong enough. I would also add a surfactant and maybe a bit of sodium hydroxide in with the mix.
  25. door bell ringing

That outlet was definetly out of code and the H/O knew it so he didn't hold me liable. She did light up a bit. I kept washing but kept an eye on the house while I was working. Come to find out it blew the fuse to that whole back section of the house including a pump for a pond with Koi fish in it. But thats another story!!!!:lgtear:
