  1. Great explanation and info Ron, with all your experience and years of knowlege in the properties, CWA, EPA and other issues that will affect us, I along with many other contractors really appreciate what you do to help the industry. If you feel there was no need to go as things were going in the right direction already in the Houston area, then I am happy with that. You have never given me any wrong or bad information and I am sure you would not start now. Maybe my question was not clear, I was not asking Doug about the invite or info, just asking in general if anyone out there knew and maybe had posted it so many of us could see it and decide if we wanted to go, until Jim mentioned it in this thread, I had no idea that it had happened but I would have liked to know about it. Thank you for all you do for all of us out there Ron.
  2. Wouldn't the professional and appropriate thing to do is deal with that where the supposed accusations are happening since they are obviously not happening here? I mean why bring that drama here in your posts? Why not deal with the supposed things that this supposed person is supposedly saying at the bbs where you say it is happening instead of starting drama here in a thread where there is no drama happening? Beth had warned about bashing and starting stuff here and with your accusations and pointing out obvious things, it is clear who you are talking about without mentioning a name but is it fair to say things about someone without any proof and start drama on the site where the supposed things are not happening? Wouldn't it be more fitting to call out the person or man up and call the person out on the site where it is supposedly happening instead of accusing someone over here of stuff that is happening on another site? Beth did warn about airing other people's business over here, she said she would not put up with it anymore, it was mentioned in the enforcement thread, you might want to go and read it so you don't get into trouble by bashing people or airing other people's business in case you don't know that it will not be tolerated anymore. I also saw where you were taking a jab at the VP of the ***** about them not telling their members about the epa meeting, the way you pointed it out that the vp should have mentioned it to their members is an obvious jab at the same person. The title of this thread is about the pwna being asked to speak at the meeting but you did not mention that the pwna should have told their members about it, you just took a jab at the vp of the *****, not the president, not the bod or anyone else. Beth said this kind of thing will not be tolerated anymore and I would hate to see you get into trouble, go read the enforcement thread so you will know that she is being serious, we don't want to see anyone get into trouble or worse.......get banned when you were warned in advance and should know better. Have a nice day.
  3. I see you are back John, I knew you would not stay away long. hahahahaha It is hard to stay away from the boards.
  4. Thanks for posting that link Doug, that is very informative and mentions a lot. Here is from that page from the link you posted: Who Should Attend? This conference is recommended for stormwater professionals including permittees, owners, operators, contractors, consultants, engineers, regulators, and etc. of stormwater systems. I am guessing that this means that contractors like us can attend? Or am I missing something here? It looks like contractors can attend but please let me know if I am wrong or mistaken. Thanks a lot Doug for posting that link.
  5. It would be nice if these kind of meetings would be announced so people that would like to attend could, not everyone knows about them but I am sure that people out there would like to know about them so they can decide if they can attend them, it only helps the pressure washing industry and community if we work together. This one obviously was known about in advance but not mentioned on the bbs's that I know of. I would like to attend some of these sometimes, If I know about them.
  6. Great job Shane. Were you working off a ladder, scaffold or using painters' stilts?
  7. Great job as usual Shane. Not just great quality of work but really good pictures, wish I could take pictures that good.
  8. Thank You. I sent an email early in the morning, hopefully I will get it today or tomorrow so I can read it.
  9. Glad to hear you are out there still doing good Adrian. Have you done any new videos showing how good the brush is? I am sure that there are people out there that probably just have not seen how good it is or maybe not even heard of it yet, youtube is a great way to promote great new inventions for both homeowners and contractors alike. Hope you are not getting too much rain up there, have not seen anything down here yet but a few drops, was supposed to be raining since last week until next week but you know how the weather changes here minute by minute.
  10. Jim, do you have an email address for the pwna or for whoever can get that info? Non-pwna members like myself do not have that info to get in touch with the pwna. Since you are saying to get in touch with the pwna for information about this, can you post their physical and email address to help those that are not members, I am sure people out there would like to know more about this besides myself. Can you post that address or email address here so it can help a lot of other people that are not pwna members? Thanks.
  11. Thanks Craig, that helps a lot and opens up more opportunities.
  12. Just had a friend ask me, will this product work on rust stains on buildings and other surfaces? Concrete buildings, buildings with Stucco or Drivit surfaces? Vinyl siding houses? Just wondering. Thanks.
  13. Website host

You might want to look at what Pat Motz has, he posted a really good deal where he will build your site for about $149 and then host it for 2 years at $29 then after that it will be about $50 per year. I just had him change my site from Joomla to Wordpress so I can add more pictures, make changes myself and all at very reasonable prices. He can help you with the SEO and other stuff to help your site get ranked up there in time. I would not recommend him if he was not good at what he does. You should check him out.
  14. Satellite Dish Cleaning

I have used softwashing to get them cleaned before, sometimes a little bit of pressure is needed. Sometimes there will be some moss growing into the dish. Not just TV stations, radio stations also like at the main office.
  15. Things like this regulation need to be nipped in the bud so it does not spread all over the place. If I had to guess, everyone on the bbs's represent probably less than 30% of the contractors in the USA. There are some huge companies out there that have huge amounts of trucks and trailer rigs that could easily make life harder for others if they found out that people were trying to do things to affect their livelihood by sheer volume of work being able to be done quickly and efficiently and taking over areas that they never thought about. Always remember, there is always someone out there that is bigger, stronger, faster, more trucks, rigs, etc..... than everyone on the bbs's, we don't represent every contractor out there in the USA and some of the guys I have talked to have very deep pockets so they could adjust to changing situations quickly and even promote more ridiculous things to eliminate competitors (the contractors that were trying to eliminate other contractors) so you just never know how far the ball will roll before it stops. Not every contractor out there has memberships in the bbs's, has youtube videos or even websites but they are out there but I do know that some of those guys I have talked to sometimes take a look at the bbs's to see what is going on and if it is worth their time. Not trying to start anything here, just get people thinking because behind you is a contractor that wants some or all of your accounts but right now you can out-sell him but he is hungry and is working hard, acquiring more and more accounts every day and he wants to be on top of that market. Just like the UFC, there will be a stronger, younger, faster, and better fighter in a short while so you have to stay on top of your game and don't get complacement. Have a nice evening thinking about all this stuff, we really all need to get together on this regulation stuff and do what we can to keep it sane, reasonable, logical, rational but most importantly, have a lot of common sense in the mix.
  16. I wonder.....If there was a Texas convention or Round Table, We could also have a Concealed Handgun Permit class on one of the last days of the event, not sure if by getting one in a different state from where you live would help you get one in your home state but it might be worth looking into if you want to get one. A free class could be given away at a Texas event, definately something you would never forget. hahahahaha
  17. Great job as usual Craig on cleaning the rust stains and battery acid stains from concrete.
  18. Unbelievable Concrete Damage!

Thanks for the info Craig, here there are a lot of driveways and sidewalks with rust stains from irrigation systems, fertilizer left on the sidewalks/driveways, metal furniture on the concrete, etc....Not even counting the battery acid stains from autos and golf carts. I hear what you are saying Craig, thanks.
  19. Unbelievable Concrete Damage!

That is some bad permanent damage from trying to clean rust stains off concrete. I thought maybe the homeowner was trying to be artistic with all the colors. hahahahaha j/k There are a lot of dangerous products out there, especially the chemicals that friends recommend that don't really know much about chemicals, just from what they have heard from other friends and then the damage happens......and it is usually permanent when trying to clean concrete with the wrong chemicals. Thanks for posting that Craig.
  20. From what I have heard, this is something that other cities are looking into as there are scare tactics being used all around the country and the cities want to be safe and protect their citizens. Ron did a lot to help out the city of Houston, sounds like that city needs some help also. With all that Ron does to help this industry, I hate to think what will happen when Ron retires in a few years or less and the "heros", "most respected", "most experienced", etc.... don't have a clue what to do to help the city as they just sat and watched or actually helped caused the problem. With everything happening in Houston, it seems like the people that focus on wood restoration are just sitting back thinking that the stuff happening in Houston will never happen to them because they are not in Houston, they do wood restoration, not concrete cleaning, they don't have anything running off into storm drains, etc..... Looks like the reality is here now and time to think about what to do.
  21. Classic Hard Water Stain Removal

Hard to tell but I would guess troweled since it does not have the broom marks.
  22. Classic Hard Water Stain Removal

It looks like there are planter boxes there that when watered by tap water, the hard water stains are left under them and are getting worse over time. That hard water stain removal chemical you have looks to be great. Great job Craig.
  23. Poll: What type of pressure washing rig do you use?

If you have a long bed 3/4 or 1 ton truck, you can make a hot water skid and small buffer tank work, I have seen it many times, you just don't have a lot of room for a lot of other stuff. I would say at least a 6'x12' trailer. If you are able to work into the winter, you might think about the enclosed trailer, if not, maybe the open trailer and winterize it so the pump and engine are safe over the winter. I will not go into the open vs. enclosed trailer discussion, there are a lot of them all over, just search for them and read about them. Are you focusing on residential or commercial or some of both. Tell us what you want to be doing as that will help with the setup of the trailer.
  24. Chemical Injector for a 10 GPM machine?

Glad you got it to work, that is the injector I use the most, which orifice number did you use for this? I was hoping you could get it to work, that will really save a lot of time on a lot of projects.
