OTP I have not ordered from Beth but I have from Steven and have talked with him serveral times. I am sure if I needed something and didnt get in till say 10:00 PM and I called him at that time and told him that I had to have that product the next morning he would do his best to get the product to me even if it meant he had to drive it to the airport himself that is just the kind of guy Steven is. -

Beth it was 2 yr old Wolmans F & P. I can tell you this I downstreamed the RPC 113 mixed at 10 to 1 and used 500psi. I have recently heard of a guy that bought some and used a garden hose to rinse it off and said it look great. I am not going to go round and round with you on products just stating facts. I can also tell you that I had no fuzzies at all not one. If I am going to strip wood I am going to use the best chemical and dilute it. That is why I mixed the RPC 113 so weak because it didnt need a strong solution. I am going to X-Jet or Downstream my chemical on the deck and let it dwell and rinse it clean. I prefer liquid chems to powders for my chemical arsenal. -

Beth I am just curious if you guys had tried the RPC 113 Roof Magic yet and if so what the results were. I am curious to see what you think of the product as I saw no difference in the HD-80 and the RPC-113 the only difference that I saw was the price and that the RPC-113 made more gallons for the money. I thought that both products performed great during our testing at the house will try to post a picture for everyone to see. The area on the right is the HD-80 and the area on the left was the RPC-113. In the picture the steps were the middle and were not done at that time that is what im doing in the picture finishing the deck. If you notice in the picture I am downstreaming the RPC-113 I think it is about 10 to 1 it took me 1.5 hrs to do the entire decks. One deck is 16x24 and one is 8x8 with lattice and hand rails around it all. -
If you are going to get into doing this type of work you need to get you a sweeper. I have one and on jobs that give you weekly work you have to bid it cheap. With my street sweeper I bid on a Kroger parking lot to give you an example lot is about two acres my bid was for $35.00 a night 7 days a week. Would have been about $60.00 for once a week service. They expect a price break for the jobs they want done on a regular basis. I love construction clean up with my truck I get $100.00 an hr and customers think they are getting a bargain. LOL:D

How many GPM's do you really need
ParadiseProWash replied to Joel Hawley's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
ron when I started 4 yrs ago I knew nothing I was as green as they come. Like many I never even thought about the internet until after I started. I used the 2.5 gpm machine for 4 months until I bought the 4 gpm machine and paid cash for it. I do mostly residental work so it works for me. As soon as I am able to pay cash for a bigger unit I will buy one. This is how I have kept my overhead down low even though I know Time is money but I am not in debt. All my equipment and truck are paid for the only business thing I have a note on is my sweeper truck which I bought last yr I financed it for 3 yrs and it will be paid for here is a picture of it. My idea in business is you make money when your not paying it out to everyone else. I know this way is not for everyone and thats okay I am not them. -

Beth I wouldnt laugh at ya that is what I started out with. Heck you gotta start somewhere. I have a 4 gpm 3500psi machine now and as soon as the cash flow is right I will have a 5+gpm machine. -
Great board Beth and Rod I will be glad to jump on your band wagon and post on this board. I will be honest I have not been to Dan F board in a while to much of a hassle to go thru the threads to find any other than the bickering. I was glad to see Mike H. cleaned up the pressure washing institute also a while back it had gotten bad. I think Greg runs the best board on the net today for woodcare and would like to see this one run the best on pressure washing. Have fun with it and good luck.:)

Chuck that is exactly what I use the same mix as you. Now for my two cents worth. In pressure washing time is money. I am just trying to make a point here so dont think Im coming down on anyone. Why would anyone use a dishsoap or laundry detergent to clean anything but what they were designed for. My point is sure they will work but will they work as good and as fast as a chemical designed to do a particular job. I would never pull up to a house and pull out my Dawn dish soap and bleach and let my customer see me do it. Bleach doesnt bother me because I can explain that one as it kill the mold and mildew but dish soap. I would rather use the quality chemicals and look prof. and speed through a job then to let a customer see me using dish soap and having to use a higher pressure to do the work that the chemical should do. Time = Money speed is the key. This fact alone can set you apart. You can have a house say 1500 sq ft bid by two companies at the same amount contrator A uses Dish soap and bleach and contractor B uses good chemical and bleach both bid the house @ $150.00. Contractor A is there two hrs and contractor B is their an hour both made the same amount of money on the job but contractor B made more per hr of work because the quality of the chemical will make you faster.

What kind of residential pressure washing are you doing?
ParadiseProWash replied to Beth n Rod's question in Residential Pressure Washing
I had a lady call me to clean just here carport. I could not get the house all she wanted was the carport and the house was dirtier than the carport. I wash mostly houses vinyl, aluminum, and brick and decks. I have not done a wood house as of yet however I have been asked to bid one as soon as it warms up so maybe I will get it. It is 2500 sq ft log home they only want cleaned and brightened no staining it has alot of mold and mildew they said they will make up their mind to go further after they see what it looks like. I am asked to do patio furniture and outside kids toys I usually ask them what they think its worth to do it and most of the time they say a price higher than what I was thinking I just say ok if that makes you happy. LOL:D
