  1. Where is Joe? Rag in mouth with duct tape over it maybe?? I just learned that Obama has an aunt living in a slum in Boston. If that was McCains aunt she would be paraded all over the media. This guy really backs up what he says don't he...wait a minute I guess he really does. He will help his aunt out and probably his brother living in a hut in kenya as well but he will use our money to do it and not his own. Afterall it was this sorry country's policies that put his aunt in that slum and if the U.S. wasn't such a terrible country his brother could have a nice brick home in kenya instead of a hut.

Hey here is an interesting read. Take a look at it and tell me what you think.

    How Long Do We Have?

    >

    > About the time our original thirteen states adopted their new

    > constitution in 1787, Alexander Tyler, a Scottish history professor at

    > the University of Edinburgh, had this to say about the fall of the

    > Athenian Republic some 2,000 years ago:

    >

    > 'A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as

    > a permanent form of government.'

    >

    > 'A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters

    > discover they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury.'

    >

    > 'From that moment on, the majority always vote for the candidates who

    > promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result

    > that every democracy will finally collapse due to lose fiscal policy,

    > which is always followed by a dictatorship.'

    >

    > 'The average age of the world's greatest civilizations from the

    > beginning of history, has been about 200 years. During those 200

    > years, those nations always progressed through the following sequence:

    >

    > 1. from bondage to spiritual faith;

    > 2. from spiritual faith to great courage; 3. from courage to liberty;

    > 4. from liberty to abundance; 5. from abundance to complacency; 6.

    > from complacency to apathy; 7. from apathy to dependence; 8. from

    > dependence back into bondage'

    > Professor Joseph Olson of Hemline University School of Law, St. Paul

    > , Minnesota , points out some interesting facts concerning the 2000 Presidential election:

    >

    > Number of States won by: Democrats: 19 Republicans: 29

    >

    > Square miles of land won by: Democrats: 580,000 Republicans: 2,427,000

    >

    > Population of counties won by: Democrats: 127 million Republicans: 143

    > million

    >

    > Murder rate per 100,000 residents in counties won by: Democrats: 13.2

    > Republicans: 2.1

    >

    > Professor Olson adds: 'In aggregate, the map of the territory

    > Republican won was mostly the land owned by the taxpaying citizens of this great country.

    > Democrat territory mostly encompassed those citizens living in

    > government-owned tenements and living off various forms of government

    > welfare...' Olson believes the United States is now somewhere between the 'complacency and apathy'

    > phase of Professor Tyler's definition of democracy, with some forty

    > percent of the nation's population already having reached the 'governmental dependency' phase.

    >

    > If Congress grants amnesty and citizenship to twenty million criminal

    > invaders called illegal's and they vote, then we can say goodbye to the USA in fewer than five years.

    > If you are in favor of this, then by all means, delete this message.

    > If you are not, then pass this along to help everyone realize just how

    > much is at stake, knowing that apathy is the greatest danger to our freedom.

    >

    > WE LIVE IN THE LAND OF THE FREE,

    > ONLY BECAUSE OF THE BRAVE

  2. Sorry, I don't think Palin is anything special - at all. She was plugged in to take women voters from the Dems and to drive them to the Republican ticket. NOT working. Let's see, she has insulted American's with her segregatist comment, she has ethics issues - see troopergate - and then there is a question of 21K in expenses to take her kiddies on the road to events they were not invited to on Alaska's peoples nickle!!!! Oh - and the whole Katie Couric thing - well, we saw the real Palin then. She has flubbed many times. I read an interview transcript yesterday and for crying out loud, I have never seen so many fragmented sentances and incomplete thoughts with no conclusions. It's an enligh teacher's nightmare! As a woman I would LOVE to vote for a female president or vice president, but you know what? ONLY if they are the BEST choice. Sorry - she's not ready for prime time....SNL maybe...prime time - nope.

    Beth

    Katie Couric............bahahhaahahahaaaa!

  3. Personally, I can't imagine any business-minded entrepreneur favoring a ticket whose head thinks it is important to "spread the wealth around" and whose VP nominee thinks it is patriotic to want to pay more taxes.

I can't imagine any sensible person voting for someone who could sit under the likes of Jeremiah Wright for 20 years and not have a problem with the hatred he spews.

I can't imagine any freedom-minded person voting for someone who thinks clinging to God and guns is a problem.

I have no problem with his being black, I don't think he's a terrorist, though his associations show either very poor judgement or a very self-serving dishonesty. I don't think he's muslim, though I don't know that. I really don't think he thinks much of God, and his position on abortion shows that he doesn't know much about God. I simply think he's got a socialistic agenda for this county, and I think he's not qualified nor experienced enough to be President.

If He wins this November, God help us all.

Very well said Mike. Thank you.

  4. The lack of Morality and Ethics put America in the position it is in right now. Where do the Conservatives get off saying voting Republican( McCan't/Phalin) is a Vote for God. We have the God President right now and had for the last 8 years. Great Job George! I'll be back I have to go to the George !

Simple. PRO LIFE pro choice. No matter what political label you wear you are either a murder or one who has compassion.

  5. I have watched and listened to Joe Biden for over a couple decades and like him very much. Now to answer your question..... I have NO clue what the heck he was saying or why

Joe is well known to put his foot in his mouth on occasion

I appreciate your direct answer to the question Jeff. I must show you respect for not avoiding it like most people do. Now I just wonder why Joe didn't give a scenario if McCain were president "fill in the blank" would happen in the next 6 months. I find that interesting. Maybe the scum of the earth already knows what a hard core military vet is made of and need not test him.

  6. Okay maybe some of you libs on here can explain something to the right wingers. Now Joe Biden is the best choice in the known human world for VP since the messiah himself picked him for this position. What the crap was Joe talking about here:

ABC News' Matthew Jaffe Reports: Sen. Joe Biden, D-Del., on Sunday guaranteed that if elected, Sen. Barack Obama., D-Ill., will be tested by an international crisis within his first six months in power and he will need supporters to stand by him as he makes tough, and possibly unpopular, decisions.

"Mark my words," the Democratic vice presidential nominee warned at the second of his two Seattle fundraisers Sunday. "It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking. We're about to elect a brilliant 47-year-old senator president of the United States of America. Remember I said it standing here if you don't remember anything else I said. Watch, we're gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy."

Now I pulled this from an ABC link so it can't be pushed aside as republican fox news trash. Man up and tell me what the crap Joe is talking about here. Can this be considered FEAR MONGERING?? Will Al Gore jump up in a speech soon and scream with veins popping out of his head that "He prayed on our fears!!"? I just gotta know what Joe is talking about there. I mean he isn't some dumb moose killing hottie from Alaska he is the CHOSEN one by the messiah. I'm not on the cool aid so somebody break this down for me please.

  7. I think General Powell was very articulate and clear about why he selected Senator Obama, so was Mr. Adelman.

    Got anymore excuses?

    Beth

    OBAMA/BIDEN 08!!!!

Didn't think you could announce a white liberal General P endorsed. Kind of like the lack of posts on what Obama has actually done besides woo everyone with plagerised, I mean brilliant speeches.

  8. You know Jeff, I don't think they get why we have made the choices we have...

It is important that highly respected Republican leaders are backing OBAMA and not McCain! It is important that many countries are paying CLOSE attention and cheering Obama on, knowing the ties we used to share with many of them have been strained in recent years. It's is really importan to have as many world allies as you can!!!

    Go Obama!

    Beth

This is our election. OUR meaning United States of America. I could give a rats behind what other countries leaders think. If you see alot of bad people endorsing a canidate then you may want to consider why they like him. Another thing to look at is all the foreign money piling into Nobama's campaign. Everyone that bleeds red in this country should be fuming over this.

  9. Why would liberals hate Colin Powell? I have liked him since the 1st Gulf war. He has always been one of the straight talking guys who cares about the troops more than anything. I guess thats why Bush wanted him out of his admin when he was asking for more troops. Bush dumped him because he spoke up

Some blamed him for his speach at the UN.

Colin has always had support from both sides. Now that he's for Nobama, I guess all you right wingers hate him too. Hey Maybe Colins a Muslim too, Ha Ha Ha. Time for the right wingers to start trashing him, you guys do that stuff well if someone doesnt agree with the right wing views

Hell I wish Powell ran for president back in 2000, He's a good man and I would of said that even if he backed McCain

Who can name a white liberal that Powell has endorsed? So it is race then that caused him to choose Obama Bin Lieing. And I see posts of people in here that are jumping up and down over members of Bush's administration jumping over to Nobama. I guess this will just become another 4 years of BUSH then. ha ha.

  10. One can be an orphaned, handicapped, political science major from Somalia, but unless you are gifted intellectually, you are not going to be admitted into Harvard Law School. Once there, Obama rose among peers to become the President of the Harvard Law Review, the most prestigious student position available at Harvard, and arguably, of any law school in this country. Many in that position go on to clerk for a Supreme Court justice.

From there, Obama was offered a faculty position at the University of Chicago Law School, a highly respected institution that is somewhat right leaning. He taught for 12 years, including courses in Constitutional Law.

One can question and argue Obama's policies and politics. But to question his intellectual capability, in light of his accomplishments and resume', is just plain off the mark.

    cough cough...affirmative action...cough cough....token!

  11. Man don't you understand, its not just Fannie & Freddie mac, its WORLD WIDE all kinds of big biz is being bailed out. NOT just Freddie & Fannie. It was made easier and suggested to give loans to lower income people that yes shouldn't have gotten the loans. BUT the banks DID NOT HAVE to give those loans, they weren't told they had to. There are MANY MANY banks that did not give loans to lower income, these banks that did choose to give them, so don't give me that party line bulls**T. The banks saw the quick easy money and they went for it and they made trillions, CEO's made 100'ss of millions and WE ARE NOW paying them in bailout money. You want party line the major bailout was George Bushes & Paulsons idea

The NEW WALMART is AIG, Wachovia, Goldman Sachs etc etc and they are getting billions each of yours & my money, what so when this economic crisis is over they can go back to their same old ways, WHY NOT Government YOU & I Will just bail them out, Sound like WELFARE FOR BIG BIZ...Say all you want but its the truth any way you try to spin it:juggle::thinking:

Yea they did. Kind of like a good old rainbow push coalition move. Loan the money or you are racist!! Racial strong arming my friend!! Now Bwarny Fwank won't agree with that statement hahaha! It's a ACORN thang...you wouldn't understand!

  12. I'm going to hell. I have been in the middle at times of a couple of hot ladies that were Bi . At the time I didnt think it was wrong anything but wrong oops. But they didnt want to get married so its OK right LOL?. Its the past, am I still going to Hell:kiss:

Man now I'm bummed out, I'm going to Hell arent I?

According to all my right winger buddies out here I'm a goner any way

Well Jeff you forgot about one theory. Maybe they let you dance inbetween them because you pose no serious threat!!!!!!!

:lgsidewaySorry brother but you set yourself up way too easy on that one!!

  13. I'm saying exactly what I said. :)

There are decades of tests available for you to do research if you like. It's proven that children do best when they are raised by their biological mother and father. For example, studies show that fatherless children suffer from higher incidents of mental illness, educational failure, substance abuse, criminal behavior, sexual abuse, and other problems.

Just because YOU have seen something different, doesn't change the years and years of tests that prove otherwise. Nobody is saying we should ship gays off to some island, well, at least I'm not saying that. I'm saying that gays are not qualified to have the honor of being married because of their choice of lifestyle. It's bad for children and bad for society to support such a harmful culture.

Island. Find that place in the sand that use to be Sodom and Gomorrah. Let them have that place all to themselves. They can take the ACLU with them!

  14. There goes free market, :lgbugeyesDUH, free market went out the fricking door one of the 1st bailouts Bush & Paulson did and now every other bailout they are doing. McCain wants to bailout everyone. So by the way you say it its OK to throw free market out the door as long as we are bailing out banks, investment companies, insurance companies all big biz or corporations to the tune of over a trillion dollars+? That OK in your eyes obviously? Right?:lgbow::lgbonk:

But bailout a single home owner and THERE GOES FREE MARKET, you are so funny:banghead:

So its alright if Bush & Paulson bailout the very businesses that caused this whole economic crisis? But if Obama puts a hold on a foreclosure for a few months...Not even a bailout, its the end of the world & free market in your eyes because why? Oh thats right because Obama did it not GW. I really thought you were smarter to see through the partisanship BS

I don't like any of it, there is no more free market as we knew it. I don't like bailing out homeowners that made bad moves and sure in hell hate that we will spend over 2 trillion + bailing out big biz. I guess thats the problem liberal Jeff thinks none of this bailout crap should be going on no matter who proposes it, you just dont like bailing out when Obama proposes it:applause::lolsign:. HELLL Obama isnt even saying bail them out, he's saying put the foreclosure on hold

Please Kev explain why its OK for Bush & everyone else to bailout these banks , insurance companies etc etc but put a hold on foreclosures to JOE SIX PACKits not OK, Please define and defend this in your right wing ways. can't wait to hear this bulls**t

What is it you just don't like JOE SIX PACK average American?:lgwave:

    Total joke:lglolly:

Jeff I wonder what caused the problem? Hmmmm. I can't see where Bush created Fannie and Freddie. Hmmmmm...could it have been DEMOCRATS??? Yeap. That would be your party that thought it would be a good idea for banks to lend to people who could not pay for their houses. It is fundamental for the Democrat party to survive. Keep everyone under the thumb of government so they have to come to the government for everything. Government-The new Wal-Mart except it's all free to those who don't deserve it! That's a great idea! Why don't we just all bury our money and jump on the welfare wagon. Wouldn't that be great!!

  15. Come people who realy cares if they get marrie or not marriege is joke in this country anyway devorce rates are higher in this country then any other country. Gays are humans wanting the same rights to be married as everyone else but you can not see that church has brain washed you thinking that it is wrong hate to tell you that gays were around long time. Have you read marriege licesence does not say man and women on it it is simple contract. If the christains want there marriege back so bad take away from goverment

Ummmmm. Marriage is biblical. By your statement I would say you want marriage then come over to the Christian side of the world. When in doubt shout it out...Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve!!!

  16. Civics lesson 101. The president is not the person that sets the tax rates. Congress does.

Civic Lesson 102, The president does not define spending. Congress does.

In reality, the president only ratifies any measures that Congress proposes. If he wants to get legislation proposed in congress, he needs to find a sympathetic congressman. Of course, that usually comes with a cost.

I cannot think of a single president in recent history that has even accomplished one half of what he proposed to get elected. That means, the world is going to hell in a handbasket, and if we want to even try and have a semblance of success in accomplishing something, it needs to be a president that has experience in talking to both sides of the aisle in congress. Obama is very much a party line type of guy, though, in reality, his congressional experience is about as minimal as it could get, and still run for president as a congressman, or senator. McCain at least has a record of working both sides of the street.

Personally, I don't like either one, and do not even think that McCain was the best choice from the Arizona congressional delegation. But the guy I would have preferred run said no way.

BTW, I do not understand how in the world Obama, or McCain, can do all that they are proposing without raising taxes astronomically, on everyone. I also do not understand how in the world they can even think of raising any taxes with the economy in the current state.

Scott I didn't get anything out of this post. Maybe if you would develop typing tourettes syndrome and "Bah! I hate BUSH!!" put something in "It's BUSH'S fault!!" there that was "BUSH CHENEY suck!!" a little more "BUSH did it!!" palatable I would be able to "My pants are on fire!!BUSH'S FAULT!!" comprehend.

    :lgbonk:

  17. This is a non issue - marriage is a recognized business partnership under the law. That being said - State law accepts marriage ceremonies performed in churches and temples as consumation of this business partnership. This is one of the last 'privileges' folks have - is to consumate their marriage under the law without all the rigamarole of setting up a typical business. You don't have to set up business accounts...liability insurance...set up a J-corp status...yet when you want to 'dissolve' said marriage - you get all the legal perks that is due all businesses in splitting up assets and responsibilities. Not a bad deal!

So all that being said - it's as simple as this - if you don't like gays - don't let them get 'married' in your church or temple. Don't let it be recognized under 'your' faith or your God/Gods. But as a legitimately recognized business partnership - who cares if they get married. That's just a matter of them acquiring certain rights such as medical benefits - having spousal recognition in hospitals - and whatever other perks that are delegated to marriages under the law. This is basically the dichotomy of marriage - the Religious marriage vs. the business entity of marriage.

Personally don't give a rat's pattooty - I love my gay customers - can you picture the effeminate tastes of a woman with the wallet spending power of a man? Picture that for just a one moment. Man I make so much dang money when I get interior painting projects from gay men. I love it. They know I don't give a hoot's F'ing monkey bowl butt about their sexual preference - just that their money is green. And they spend for the very very very best work. I say let 'em all get married - I would be one happy interior painter with tons of gay clients. I have noticed that the gay women are kinda cheap......haven't figured that yet?

"What profit a man to gain the whole world yet lose his own soul"

It's a moral issue. It is wrong! If you want to hop in bed with them I won't sit back and say well its their deal and thats what they do. I will tell you that you are WRONG!!! Keep turning a blind eye to these issues and see if God does not judge the U.S. for it. I think he has already started!

  18. Where do you get all your facts about Obama & taxes, from Fox News, Rush or one of those stupid Obama test that the right has put out. will he increase taxes on big biz yes, is it going to hurt them to get less corp welfare and all the loop holes they have. We cannot afford another 4-8 years of Republican ideology when it comes to economics. Fact is the past 30 years the Republicans have spent more than ANY democratic admin and their deregulating has helped cause the free fall we are in now. Will it last forever, NO, did it ever have to get this way or bad NO

You say you are for less Goobermint & taxes, do you see less goobermint and less taxes and money going out of our goobermint from this past administration NO, The republicans have grown goobermint, raised taxes in these bailouts. They are out of control and you can't see it, I dont want another 4 years like what I have seen in the past 8.

We have different opinions thats it brother and you know I guess thats just OK

When taxes are increased on the "Big Guys" who actually pays? Take a minute and go look in the mirror. Hello! Increase tax on corporations and they just smile and tack it right on our butts. Kind of like the minimum wage being increased all the stupid time. It's not a living wage and can never be one unless you buckle to full blown socialism!! Same people on minimum wage will be screaming about their hamburger or box of chicken costing them 15 bucks. Who pays for that...Go look in the mirror again! It's that simple.

  19. Kirk you're such a left wing, radical, terrorist, communist socialist you really got to stop making sense

Technically this is name calling and I believe Kirk is a member of this board. Jeff if you get a 30 day spanking you won't be able to post here until after the election. I have read that someplace....or maybe that just applies to Rog and Trey.

  20. Some of you guys say you don't know what Obama will do as pres. Some are afraid he has ulterior motives. Christ he has been campaigning for 2 years, have you looked at his outline on his website. How much REASONABLE PROOF is there otherwise! Mostly a bunch of crap to distract from what he seems to want to try and accomplish.

I don't care if Gilbert Godfrey is elected, but Obama seems to understand THE MIDDLE CLASS NEEDS DECENT PAYING JOBS!!! We need to bring manufacturing jobs back here. Manufacture HERE-Manufacture NOW! In the future it's going to be hard to collect for HOUSE WASHING / WINDOW CLEANING / DECK REFINISHING from someone WORKING AT WALLMART.

    F... free trade agreements

F... companies getting corporate welfare for sending jobs to other countries only to expand CEOs wallet

F... top down / trickle down economics it aint trickling down-wake up it's NOT GOING to TRICKLE DOWN

    Productivity = Supply

    Wages= Demand

Productivity from the American worker has increased for several years now. At the same time wages have remained stagnant of decreased.

Put us on a level playing ground with other countries that charge US

    tariffs.

Stop worrying so much about socialism!! The rich (and wanna be) media talking heads are trying to scare you with being controlled by a central leader figure (old school socialism/communism) to keep themselves from paying their own taxes. No, it should be about what is best for YOU..YOU..YOU (and your family) and the middle class of our country.

Yes I know I, I'm not an expert, and no I don't care to spend a bunch of time to try and prove my statements. I do know this country has gone to sh!t in the past 30 years since the Regan admin and his principals (including frigin gullible Clinton for listening to Greenspan and Robert Rubin).

Out of curiosity who do you think pays the "TAX" bill in America? Middle Class? Go ahead and up the ante on those evil rich people and see what happens. If you are able to pick up some crumbs after that then you will be the next target and get your punishment for being successful!

  22. I don't think Obama will be defeated, but if he is or isnt I am going support who ever gets in office. We have to start to work together, we can disagree but on many issue I am sure common ground can be found. We yell that our leaders suck and are so divided, well we the American people are divide and that has to break loose

Jeff I really don't think we are all that divided when it gets down to the nut cutting. I am sure most people agree that you need to work for a living and there are a few % that get in the entitlement programs line because they suck and don't want to work for anything. The American people are losing every day, every election with no hope in sight.

They think they are the smartest people on the face of the earth. Just look at the bailout. Who do they think they are voting in something like that with all that pork. How can they tell us that the private sector caused all this and shift blame to ceo's when it was the government that created this entire meltdown. If a little government caused the type of problems we have now then what will alot of government do for us?

I would love to see the tax paying Americans claim 10 dependents and come April demand change in government or we don't pay. What they gonna do? Arrest us all? Would be nice to tell them to collect the money from all that pork they doled out wouldn't it? What is that old saying about extreme times demand extreme measures. If we don't get these clowns out of washington we can all put our heads between our legs and kiss our arses goodbye!
