Removing paint from brick exterior - Carneys Point, NJ
DP1066 posted a topic in Contractor Help Wanted - Job Leads
An acquaintance of mine is looking to have some old paint removed from the brick exterior of his parents home in Carneys Point NJ. Some sections of the paint are chipping and flaking away; other sections are well bonded to the brick. From the description I got over the phone, it sounded like sand blasting would work better than pressure washing but I haven't seen it myself. If anyone here is set up to do this kind of work and serves that area please let me know and I can set you up with the home owner. -

Ron, I went to look at the house and it seemed like they weren't that serious about getting it done. That may also be because I told them I'm not experience with sand blasting. I'm sending you a PM with more details. -
Does anybody know of a place near southern NJ that rents out reclaim equiptment, vacu-booms and the like? It didn't seem right to post this in the North East Regional section because that looked like it was only for events.

I got a call to do an estimate for a 57X35 rancher near McGuire AFB, Jacobstown NJ. It's a little bit too far north for me and I told the woman I'd ask around to see if I knew any other contractors who were closer to her area. Please respond only if you carry insurance for this kind of work and I can give you the contact info. Thanks,

Thanks Rick, I talked with Joe at Deck Restoration Plus and they are taking it. -
This morning I got a 5 gallon at DelVal Pools in Turnersville for $3.20 a gallon plus tax and deposit. I think Budds Pools in Deptfort is a little bit cheaper. They still charge a deposit too.

Trex deck cleaning
DP1066 replied to squeegeeboy's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
This might be the case with Timbertech composite decks too. I did one last summer where the home owner called me out and Timbertech paid for the job so long as I used their recommended chems and sealer. The type of mold that attached it self to the composite was cleaned away with the chem but it looked like the wood fibers in the board were being eaten away. You could still see where the mold had been after the cleaning.
