  1. Need wash mix advice

As far as the Simple Cherry it's great stuff but I don't think was really part of your problem. It does not add much "cling" to housewash mix. Actually there's not a lot that will add cling because it's so diluted. Did you try adding any Dawn or Gain dish soap? A little is good but too much causes rinse problems and spotty windows. You will get nearly as good sometimes better results with the TSP substitute as with simple Cherry especially on hardie board. Use 2-3 cups in your 5 gallon mix bucket and about two ounces dawn or gain. Like previous poster said If you have a red "0" nozzle just drill it out to about 1/8. No one really needs a high pressure zero tip anyway they only cause damage. Pat Norman 663-316-7685

Sorry to hear but that's pretty much the limitations of a small gpm home owner machine. When you said you had the variable fan push/pull nozzle I thought you might me in pretty good shape to spray those high gables. With my 8gpm machine I can spray almost as high with one of those push / pull nozzles as I can with a shooter nozzle. I guess it all boils down to higher gpm. Pat Norman 663-316-7685

Hey Jivewalker better idea! This will give you a little better results I think. Go to Lowes or similar and get a product in the paint department called TSP SUBSTITUTE it is a sodium metasilicate based product and will give you better results than common soap powder. Pat Norman 663-316-7685

  7. Need wash mix advice

Just get a five gallon bucket put 4 gallons common bleach two cups of Cascade and a squirt of Dawn, top off with water and downstream it on your siding. Wait about 10 minutes and begin rinsing. With that small a machine only wash / rinse one side at a time. You don't want the soap mix drying on the siding and windows before you rinse. Don't get too close to the siding or windows with high pressure. Contractors use a myriad of spray nozzles to keep the fan pattern and pressure just enough to effectively rinse. 8. My general questions!

Revive, the first two numbers refer to the fan pattern in degrees. "00" would be a zero degree shooter tip "25" would be a 25 degree fan tip. The second two digits refer to orifice size. An "04" will develop 4000 psi at 4 gpm an "08" will develop 4000psi at 8gpm. Oversize orifices will lower the pressure. A 40 orifice will significantly lower the pressure to allow you to inject Chems via downstreamer. Pat Norman 663-316-7685
  9. Live Oak Acorn Stains on concrete

Yeah downstreaming a housewash mix on the concrete and leaving it after the final rinse works great for tannin stains and mildew stains. Really brightens the concrete nicely and evens out any striping left by the surface cleaner. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I897 using Tapatalk 2
  10. Enough with the "Robo calls"

Are they calling your CELL phone? If your phone is an AndroidAndroid based phone there are a few useful free apps you can download. One is called "Current caller ID" it will almost always I'd calls even from other CELL phones. The other is called "Blocker" by embware. It will not only let you block a number but can be set to block a call by instantly answering and hanging up so they don't go to your Voicemail. Sorry don't know if iPhone has these options. 14. Downstream Injectors

I just use the cheap adams fixed injectors and they last a good while for me. What gpm and psi is your pump? What orifice is your injector ie 2.1 mm or what? How much hose do you run? What gpm are your trigger guns rated? Edit also what orifice spray nozzle are you using? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I897 using Tapatalk 2

If you have a fairly large screen like an Ipad safari would probably new better. Tapatalk is really designed for smartphones. It formats for small screens. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I897 using Tapatalk 2

  20. Wow! Bleach like that is harmful to wood. Softens and eats the lignen. Also if it had sodium hydroxide in it that will darken the wood. First rinse it very thoroughly and I would apply oxalic acid to it to neutralize the s hydroxide. After about a 30 minute dwell, rinse very thoroughly again and let dry.
  21. That mix should be okay. Don't get too close to the stucco with an X jet. Is it real concrete stucco or dryvit / EIFS? Is your XJet the fan pattern or straight shooter?
  22. Redwood home

Thanks Rick, Yep WRC is rare here. This garage was only ten yrs old per homeowner. The house itself was much older and a lot of the wood was black down deep and was not a pretty site. He was going to use a solid stain so it did not really matter that much as long as the "loose" stuff was off. You can see in that before pic where I did a test nearly 8 months prior.
  23. Redwood home

Beautiful work Rick! We did a Western Red Cedar home , the garage turned out great, we did it with a small lift. But when we got to the mans house it had so many leaks we just kinds switched to a strong caustic and did like a house wash and not a full strip. It still took off all the loose and discolored stain so he could re stain it. Any way the homeowner was happy although I wanted to do a full strip.
  24. How would it work to use 150' feet of 1/2" then last 50 feet be 3/8" . Man the 1/2 hose I seen would be a killer dragging around.
  25. We did over 2000 square feet of deck and pier restoration today, did not get to start until almost noon. This one was pretty nasty but cleaned up nice. Wish It had been drier and more sun for the final shot. I think I'll go back and re-shoot the after pics in a couple days. Man it was nice today that heat wave bout killed me!
