  1. I can't wait until I get my Super Duper Secret Agent Decorder Ring to desipher some of these messages. I'm tired of scratching my head when I read some of these post.

I so want to learn but man, this is starting to seem like work...lol

In Alabama we don't need fancy Up Sales and Deluxe packages.....Just know which hat to have on when you pull in the driveway.....Roll Tide Red or Auburn Orange and Blue..lol

    I love the simple life!

AM I reading last few posts right?, Can we serve beer from our rigs as a package option?

Man, I hope OSHA don't catch me downstreaming Bud Lite without PPE....lol

  2. Every question I have had so far has been answered by a pro and I never even asked. I stay up late at night, reading and munching on Keebler's Chocolate chips.

Thank You for posting and making information public.

I want to specialize in certain areas. I never want to be a Hack, lowballer or a wanna be.

I get dirty so the homeowner don't have to and maybe make a living doing it. My equipment makes a good impression but without great results, my machine is just a glorified garden hose.

I have gave job leads away because I wasn't ready, that makes me either a fool or a guy someone will remember when they have a lead they can't squeeze in. I'm shutting up now, and Yes, I've got milk too......lol

  3. I am in the start up stage. I have Insurance and don't need License for less than $10,000.00 jobs but am looking into getting one anyway. Planning for over a year and have some pretty nice equipment already. I know that's not enough, it will take hard work and proper training.

I believe customer service is #1. After all, alot of the time in life, I'm the customer for someone. I know how I would want to be treated.

I read everyword that is writen on this site. some times 3 or 4 times.

I try to keep my mouth shut and my ears and eyes open. I don't just want to get something washed, I want to get it CLEAN and be the one that did what most couldn't.

My business name isn't etched in stone but I am in the process of reserving it. I Goggled and only 1 business come up, (no pressure washing Co.) My slogan is, "Escape from the scene of the grime", (get good responses around here, so far) I'ld like to use this on my business cards if I can get permition from this board, who do I need to ask?

I have a million questions and most times it's already been asked here somewhere, and I'll find it.

I appreciate the kind people that are members here, priceless resourses!

I love the smell of off road diesel burning in the hot box early in the morning.

I have leads to offer in the future if I can't handle them now, hope someone will return the favor.

I try to think out of the box alot of times, with todays economy, you have too, I think.

Look forward to reading even more Lay it on me...lol

  4. Mike, (GutterDog)

Your thread went from a, "a funny thing happened at work today", to "a not so funny thing, is happening now".

    Good Luck in the future.

I hope the guy you are working for now, is in the line of work you want to make a career. That would just make sense to me. On the job training is hard to beat.

I'm a believer, we all learn from the people we least expect to learn something from. I have learnt from this thread. (which now should be desolved)

I will never leave home without a fire extinguisher, I wear eye protection more often and bungie cords are evil..lol

I suggest, getting a partner, one with sales experience and a truck.

That way, you won't be stressed with sales and always have a backup truck.

I'm just starting, but I've been planning for over a year, I can't wait to be too busy to read these novels, I mean long threads.

    Take care,

    Sam

ps. keep spellcheck.net on your "favorites" list and your mind out of the gutter...lol

  5. I agree, you make an impression and that's what counts.

I had a feeling you wouldn't take offense to the question, thank you.

I have cleaned gutters as well as hung them.

We are in this together, I feel. Not much competition down here in Dixie Land.

I can get covered up if I'm not careful.

I'm just starting out, so slow seems to work best but I have dreams.

Getting calls about chicken houses (every 8 weeks), bunches of them and Fleet washes, as many as 100 a month on a monthly basis and $100 apiece. Some have trailers some don't, some are flat beds. I'm careful about contracts but will grow in time.

Take care Gutter dawg, I'll be here reading and gaining wisedom and will send leads someones way.

  6. Mike,

I know you get alot of responses about your name, "Gutterdog", but doesn't that kind of make you look like a gutter man trying to be a pressure washing specialist?, just asking and are "Dogs" a good thing to be working around a persons life time' biggest investment?

I'm just curious because I'm kicking around some names myself and I can only think of positive ones to use. (I may be way off base)

Seems like you only do gutters now on the side.

I'm a "Gutter Dodger"..lol, but the house isn't complete if the gutters are dirty so it's all included.

the 219 guy reminds me of the car painters years ago, Earl Schribes, all cars 99 bucks. Were is he today and I seen his work, high speeds would make the paint pell, seriously.

I'm reading and learning, but was curious.

Good luck in the future, it is getting brighter in my area.

I hope you don't think I'm slamming you, it's not the case.

  7. Well I'm getting caught up in here. Thanks for all the help! Will begin working on website maybe tomorow. It's a hassle. I'm not college educated. So I can't word affluently as the other websites. I'm going to try. 2 jobs tomorow and NASCAR! so I may not get to website!lol!!!

Good luck with web site, I can't wait to get one.

As far as the computer problem, down here, we have teenagers that work at Radio Shack that can do amazing things with computers. They take them home and save us bunches of money...lol

    Tomorrow?....I don't work on Sundays.

I'm trying to relive the Mayberry days...lol

When I had my on company, (Veneer Mill) I worked Sundays, didn't get me ahead at all and just made me tired on Monday..the one day I needed to be alert, so, if you need me tomorrow, I'll be on the front porch with a bottle of pop. I 'll tell Goober, you said "Hey!"
