  1. Poll: What type of pressure washing rig do you use?

Outstanding observation in red above. In a drivethru we are being asked to believe that it is preferable to spend an extra 20 minutes of small engine from a vacuum and pump puffing exhaust out into the atmosphere - fueled by a few gallons of fuel - some of which got spilled at the gas station - where it was delivered by a 5 mpg semi truck puffing exhaust across country - after being refined accompanied by whatever fumes that may have produced (been to Houston lately?) and having been shipped across the ocean in a tanker that may or may not have spilled much of its cargo - bought from a country of people who want to see us all dead. In exchange for all that we capture a miniscule amount of something or another which may or may not even be harmful to anything (french fry grease alert! SAVE THE CHILDREN!!!) - - And scalp our cities with pricing that is borderline criminal especially in this economy where people are being laid off city jobs. It's some of the most ridiculous and self destructive thought processes this country has ever given itself to. I can produce a video like Jim's if I just stirred up a little dirt from the bottom of Lake Tahoe and sumped it out. Big deal. It's a little dirty. Having participated in garage cleanings before I can tell you first hand that Solid Black runoff comes off in sheets even where there is not a drop of oil. It is simply dirt and tire marks. Yes, those deadly tires that they have thrown in ocean to make reefs for years that kill all our fish and children. In response to Jim's video. I'd like for everyone to bow their heads in remembrance of the millions of children killed from the BP oil spill. Oops, my bad, Didn't happen! Where did it all go? It went through the best filter every known to mankind - God's filter: nature.
  2. 10 GPM at 3000 PSI VS. 8 GPM at 3500 PSI

I'm glad to hear you say that. We use two 5.5+ machines and sometimes we use them together and sometimes separate. We used to run one machine, but it costs too much money to call it a day when one goes down. Now we can limp along with the second machine if we have to in order to finish the days work.
  3. 10 GPM at 3000 PSI VS. 8 GPM at 3500 PSI

What issues have you had with plumbing the two together?
  4. My girls--My life

That's great man! I've never seen those pictures before. I figured you sent them to the FBI! lol! Thanks again!
  5. My girls--My life

John, I don't think Shelly would respect me anymore if I didn't stay true to my beliefs. She married that man. She fell in love with the man I am. She knew what she was getting in to. She's also the quiet one who has had Chris Chappell, Ron **********, Tom Cusick, Matt Norman, Nigel Griffeth, Terry Campbell, Mike Tessaro, Tony Zsabo, Tony Richardson, Lou Gardner, Daryl Mirza, Jim Gamble and many others in our home. She's a pretty good judge of character too. She's the one who warns me right off the bat about people. I'm starting to learn to listen. It was funny John..... do you remember..?.....Shelly gave you the cold shoulder for the first 20 minutes when we met with you and Kathy because she thought you were someone else she met briefly before. Once she realized she was mistaken she opened up and realized she had mad a new friend. Crazy times! But it was great.
  6. My girls--My life

Tell Kathy we said thanks too. How many wives would gone on trains and busses to show a good time to a nutcase like me off the internet? Thanks Kathy!
  7. My girls--My life

John, these girls are the reason you take a stand and protect your right to make a living! Great pics!
  8. I have replacement value through my Farmers Agent, but I'm not sure if the insurance is Farmers or if he has brokered it with someone else. I needed it for the lift.
  9. Should pressure washing companies be licensed???

We need to all get together with the government to gouge our customers like the Taxi companies have. Wecome to Amerika:
  10. Scott, are you using 1 1/2 inch steel rated for ten times the weight of a semi trailer? Is your powder coat 4 inches thick? lol.
  11. Unreliable pressure washer

Thanks John, but the only chlorine our trucks have ever seen is the single tablet we put in the water tank in the summer to kill tank algae Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk
  12. Poll: What type of pressure washing rig do you use?

Which one was that video taken at Jim? Burger King, Chick-fil-a or KFC? (No response necessary) Once again you are trying to tie infrequent garage cleaning runoff into the same category as frequently cleaned drive-thrus. This is where we differ. There has always been a difference between cleaning fleets and rinsing down used cars at the car lots. You are like the fleet guy who is mad because he has to reclaim so he goes on a crusade to make the poor guys rinsing used cars have to reclaim too, just for spite. It's disgusting and a petty way to do business. The industry could have benefited from your entry into the public realm. Considering the path you have taken the only way the industry will ever benefit is at your exit. This time I have asked you no questions So there is no need to reply. You've never answered any questions I've proposed before except this one. I almost fell out of my chair. Your answer was informative and would have been appreciated and understood had you not tried to pretend that Burger King runoff is the same.
  13. Unreliable pressure washer

We have a variety of units from 2009 to as old as 1989. After following Jerry's "bulletproofing" instruction we've had none of the little problems that plagued us before. I wish he had a class on how to bulletproof and aerial lift!
  14. Poll: What type of pressure washing rig do you use?

What chemicals does your trailer come in contact with that it needs to be resistant to? Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk
  15. Work shirts

Thats pretty good pricing Scott. I did the same thing and used Unifirst when we had the dry clean delivery business. My only complaint was time issues. Everytime we hired a new driver it took almost a month to get him suited up. They did switch us from pants to shorts every summer for free though. Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk
  16. There are some vendors on here who could sell you a great belt drive PW for $1500. If you really want to make sure it lasts route the unloader hose out into the grass so you can leave it running with the gun closed and don't have to worry about the single biggest cause of failure. And drain it or blow it out in the winter, and drain the carb when you aren't going to use it for over a month. I can't tell you how many 13 hp pressure washers I've bought for backups for pennies on craigslist that just had varnished up carbs. I don't even mess with them anymore, just keep some spare carbs on hand, switch em and they fire right up.
  17. The Revolutionary War

Here's some trivia. The ignorant leftwing media gave Sarah Palin a lot of grief for saying that "Paul Revere warned the British". In fact, that is exactly what he did when he was captured the evening of his ride. He warned them with a highly exaggerated account of how many patriots were waiting for them at their destination. That warning was punctuated by the sound of gunfire coming from the town. The town hadn't even been warned yet and the gunfire was later determined to come from men clearing their weapons before entering a tavern! But that clearing of weapons was enough to change the course of the British and convince them to let Revere go. Here's the trivia. Most don't know this but there were at least 15 other riders in addition to Paul Revere running and warning of the marching British soldiers - What was the prevailing occupation of these men and why were they particularly suited for the task?
  18. The Revolutionary War

Doctors. They were excellent riders, had the best saddles and because of house calls and emergencies they were perfect for the task. Most of them were were highly educated and were supporters of the revolution. Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk

  20. Adjustable thermostats

I think a lot of these guys would be surprised at just how much heat is lost as little as 3 inches from the tip in a fan spray. It's not so much with an Xjet. I should make a video of that.
  21. Adjustable thermostats

The ambient temperature out here is so hot in the summer 200 degrees is a refreshing cooling experience for our houses and condos. lol.
  22. Adjustable thermostats

Stripped all of ours off Guy. I don't recall a time when we have needed lower temps. When do you need that? Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk
  23. Landa Surface Cleaner Swivel

We have three water jets. They are workhorses. I don't see why you couldn't put a waterjet swivel on one of the shark machines. Is that not possible Ron? How many do you have Ron? 2? lol. Where's that picture of your rows of them I saw before? Nevermind, it won't make a difference. :)
  24. My last cop gig--Johnny Union has left the building

I owe you a big night out on the strip John! Come on out!
  25. My last cop gig--Johnny Union has left the building

Congratulations John. You hung in there a long time. Nobody can ever call you a quitter. Now you can join the ranks of us perps and come out here for a visit. For fun we can get pulled over for speeding and time you and see how fast you can "show your hands"!. "Hands on the wheel!" "get out of the car!" "stay in the car!" "get down on the ground!" "stay where you are!" "stop resisting!" BANG BANG. OOPS, he was a retired cop! On second thought, come on out to visit, but I'd better drive. Lol. Congratulations again John!
