    Iraq never posed a threat.

    I am going to let you pass on that ignorant "never posed a threat" statement and just say this:

    About 70 years ago, a tiny country called Germany was run by a teapot despot named Adolph Hitler. Sure they made a little war in their own region of the world, but they never posed a threat to us. So, we left them alone... Not our business and all that... Come to think of it we left them *and* another tiny little country called Japan alone. 4 years later, fueled by the spoils of war and encouraged by victory, they snuck up to our back door and kicked us right in the teeth while we slept.

    That little incident was called Pearl Harbor. It started a battle (for us) that would cost 295,000 Americans their lives and injure another 1.1 million. In just 5 years, 55+ million people would die before someone finally stopped the Nazi's. That someone was the US of A.

    In hindsight, we probably should have gotten involved a little earlier, eh?

    George Bush's request for his new budget for the war is almost a 1/4 trillion $$ THATS $800.00 for every man, women and child, WOW.

    Would you spend $800 of your own money to prevent one person from being tortured, raped, and killed in front of their wife and children.

    I remember hearing at the very beginning of this war, Rumsfeld said the war would cost Americans about $10 Billion and then the Iraq oil & people will pay for the rest OOPS WRONG

    Yea, that's the b**ch of it. War's don't always go as originally planned. I do agree about going in too early. For that kind of money, we should have left him alone at least until he invaded Poland and Czechoslovakia.

    Dan, I know you've taken some heat for your methods so please don't take this as critisicm. WHatever works for you is ok by me. I am only offering it because IMHO you are working TOO hard. That said...

    I have NEVER brushed a house, and I never left one anything but spotless. If you are brushing, you are working much too hard.

    Not bad for a first try. BUT... you need to call me. The way your page is set up, the search engines will never give you any attention. I can give you a 1/2 dozen pointers that will make them like you pages.

    Video was broken for me as well. Get off tripod, the 100% frameset URL redirect thing will plague you forever.

    BTW, did I mention that I have two phone book ads pre-paid & running for 9 & 13 months from now? And that whoever buys my customer database will get all the leads/calls, repeat calls, regular customers, etc? Pass on it now, and I'll want $12/lead (or more) later..

    Still by far we have the best Gov't in the world.

    And my neighbor is smartest kid on the short bus... One must be diligent to measure themselves against what they could be, and not what they are not.

    Yes, people used to be free to succeed or fall flat. People today are terrified of freedom. True fFreedom means working without a net and dealing with people who make you uncomfortable.

    our Constitution and Gov't should get some of that credit.

    Constitution, yes. Govt, NO!. Our country thrives inspite of it's government, not because of it.

    Don't get yourself all worked up in thinking the Gov't or the Police just come in and take what they want. Its called due process. The beauty of this country is no matter what your always presumed innocent until proven otherwise. Thats the Law and what a GREAT law that is...

    John, I beg to differ HUGELY. Money believed to be proceeds from drug sales is regularly seized without due process. And I am not alone in my concerns about it:

    Yep. My last entry was a red '34 ford complete with chopped roof and fenders. All from one piece of wood per boy scout rules. Not very fast, but it looked GOOD. Being fast is a WHOLE lot of trial and error. What works for one car does not for another. That said, here's the $0.05 tour.

    Weight: Big factor. The more weight toward the rear, the farther gravity is pushing, the faster your ultimate speed. BUT, at some point to little weigh on the front causes tracking problems and you lose speed as you zig zag down track. Best seems to place the CG at about 1/3 from from the rear of the car.

    Wheels: Deburr, polish, smooth, true, balance, as permitted by the rules. If you can, get 12-20 wheels and take the best 4 that are nearly alike in weight. In many leagues, you can roll on three wheels as long as 4 are installed. Raise one ever so slightly off the floor to reduce friction.

    Axles: Get solid axles if allowed. Get jewlers rouge and polish the axles to a high gloss. Remove all burrs. Keep axles and wheels smothered in graphite. DO NOT use the factory holes, get a long bit and a drill press and drill 2 true, parallel axle holes. Your axles are true if your car rolls straight forward and backward.

    Lead: Yes, the stick on's suck but don't pour hot lead. It's too dangerous for the benefit. Drill holes and fill with a birdshot (lead) and epoxy (or silicone caulk) mixture. But, if you are a real engineer/machinist: Make a lead rod and drill a hole along the center of the body. Insert lead and attach so it can be dialed forward and backwards to adjust CG on the fly.

    and last...

    build a home track and test, test, test. Time it, make changes, time again. +time = use old way. -time = keep change. Repeat ad nausem in an effort to shave one more 1/100 of a second.

    Hydrogen peroxide is an oxidizer. It's strength and the associated safety precautions depend HUGELY on the % of H2O2 to water. 3% is what you buy at the drugstore to rinse out cuts. I gargle with it. 25% is sold in the hair care aisle to bleach hair blonde. 90%+ will violently decompose and can be used an a monopropellant rocket fuel.

    H202 of any strength decomposes naturally and must be kept in a cool dark place or it becomes just water. As RYan mentioned: If this barrel is very old, it will be a fraction of what it once was.

    As far as the violent decomposition process, here's what happpens. The decomposition equation appears as follows: 2 (H2O2) -> 2(H20) + 02 + heat.

    heat + h20 = steam.

    heat + 02 + fuel = fire.

    Fire + h20 = steam + no fire.

    Depending on the concentration, substrate, presence of fuel, etc you may get anything ranging from oxygen bubbles, to steam, to steam & fire.

    All that said, if he used it for cleaning blinds it's probably <25%.

    Any dealing of drugs to underage people throw the book at them.
    I like what they do now. When I guy makes his money thru the drug trade law enforcement looks to take all he has and when thats done they distribute some of the assets such as the cash to places that can use it such as building parks etc. I love reading that a drug dealer and his posse got the book thrown at them and there 5 million dollar house went to auction and the money went towards helping the homeless..now that is progress.

    I have a real problem with that aspect of it. If seizing the assets is a valuable tool, go to court and seize them properly. Then, have the funds go to the general fund for redistribution by the elected. This crap about seizure without due process, failure to return assets once charges are dropped, and drug seizure money being controlled and spent by the LE that seized it is just as criminal as the means through which it was created.

    Then move to Amsterdam..cya...J/K I'm just making points and I know you never said legalize murder. Yes the war on drugs is a losing one and there should be some alternatives but to legalize them in MHO is a death sentence to this country

    Don't take my comments to mean that I think drugs are a good thing. But, I do support legalizing them for a number of reasons:

    1. I believe that it is a man has a God given right to Life, Liberty, and Property (L/L/P). Since a mans "owns" his life, he is free to achieve success, abject failure, and even self-destruction (suicide).

    2. I believe that it is not a legitimate function of government to influence #1, unless one man attempts take another mans L/L/P via force of fraud.

    3. Eliminating drugs from our society is a noble goal, but interdiction (war on drugs) is an abject failure. It is time to try another tactic.(*)

    4. If a junkie dies from self-destruction, I could not care less. If one of our law enforcement brothers falls in the line of duty, I cry. If that officer dies in the battle to save that (or any) junkie, it is an attrocity.

    (*) I find this very ironic. 3 years in Iraq, marginal success and the masses scream that it is WAY past time for a change. Redeploy, timetable, make a plan, billions spent, ad nauseum... And anyone who says "stay the course" is branded a fool. Yet, after 60 years of this pathetic war on drugs "stay the course" is the mantra of the masses. Which is it?!?

    Maybe you dont know addicts! They will drive down your street with a pocket full of money and go to the STORE and get their stuff, they will drive home and do it and when it wears off they will go down your street (high) and go to the STORE and get some more, they will go home and do it. When they run out they will drive down your street towards the store knowing they have NO money to go to the STORE and they possibly will turn around and break into your house, possibly hurt your family or worse and get what money they can and then drive back down your street and go to the STORE get more drugs and go home and get high.

    1. The fact that they are driving to/through my neighboorhood presumes that I live near the only store. What about the store in their neighborhood?

    2. If they live close to my store they ALREADY live in my neighborhood. And since you can get drugs easily, they already live there NOW.

    3. Junkies steal because coke is $100/gram and they are broke. At $5/oz it's not a bank buster. In fact, most people would die/self-destruct before exhausting their resources.

    4. DUI endangers the lives of others and for that reason, it is (and should remain) a crime. People convicted of DUI will be prosecuted.

    You wouldnt want drugs sold at a store around you believe me!!!!

    Sold in a store, or used in a store? I don't think you can drink alcohol IN a liquor store (or on property for that matter). And the local "drug" store is already in your neighborhood, it just doesn't have a sign out front.

    I always appreciate RyanH's well thought-out responses, and I was truly interested in his input on this. It was not a "set up" question.....I'd just like an opinion with reasoning. Here's my first thought:

    You own a Subway in a stripcenter with three other stores: Liquor Store, Payday Pawn, and Check in to Cash. All three are adult places I could see wanting to get their hands on drug sales. So you, as the Subway owner---how do you feel about this, and its affect on your biz, property value?? I think the result would be negative, in many ways. That is why I'm asking the question--to get RyanH's input (or yours) on how this would affect RE, etc.

    I think the net effect would be no different than that of the liquor store. And it's being done presently in Amsterdam with great success.
