I wonder how Grant could tell we got the wrong color delivered to us yesterday! Who do you know at Best Buy that told you we ordered bisque and they delivered and installed white? Well I will say they did get the dishwasher correct, just the stove and microwave were wrong! Correct ones due on Friday. Now Grant stop looking into your spy glass! only witches are allowed to use those. Jon
  3. .Net Messenger

Paul I don't sign up for things, most web sites have spy ware that grabs your Email address and from there spread it all over the world. Even the pop up builder people are getting smart, I find some that force their way though my pop up stoppers. Ah such is life on the Internet, at one time only government and colleges used it and now look, you can find a bride, a date, a mate, drugs, get mugged, get divorced and much more on the Net. I know of people who buy their cars off the Net, paying in full with a credit card sight unseen. Now that type of trust on the Net will never come from me. Besides I need to see what I am buying before I buy. I like to test drive, or open and close the appliances etcs. Now when it comes to a bride, well no test drive, no bride!! Uh oh my wife is watching:whoops: Jon

To answer your question I have to say NO but I use Earthlink as my DSL ISP and use their spam blocker so I would not even see any junk or spam mail. I have total control of what comes though to Outlook. It can be a bit of a pain having everything blocked till you get the addresses set up you want to allow though but from over 100 plus spams a day to ZERO, sure makes checking mail easy now. Jon
  5. engine idle speed

OTP from all I have heard over the years one should never idle the engine down but use different nozzles to adjust to what he or she is trying to gain or loose. My understanding is engines must run full power to be effective and to do otherwise can/will damage the pump over time by not allowing it to run at full RPM. Jon
  6. What I want next time around, more PSI & GPM. I would go for 7 or 8 GPM and 3500 or 4000 PSI. As to burners, stick with the top two brands. Options/features, only you can answer that, do you use up/down stream? if you answer NO then skip them, if yes get them. Jon
  7. fun

There were two Indians sitting on a fence, the little Indian was the son of the big Indian but the big Indian was not the little Indians father, what was their relationship?
  8. fun

Windows and awnings seem to go hand in hand out West. if you offer one might as well learn the other and have an add on service year round.

  13. I Can't Hold Back Any Longer.

Beth you mention cost, how about if the PWNA shows the major players/members/sponsors how it would benefit them to cover most the cost. Also I am sure most of not all the distributors and manufactures who are members have their own ads in trade magazines so they could help get PWNA a super discount on cost. The biggest drawback I see is companies like Hydro Tek who go after the accounts us pressure washers have and sell them equipment to do it alone and fire us, yes they do that here, why I always considered them a competitor, does not matter if they do the work, they sell the equipment and the customer does it and I am out. 18. winter time work

The same thing I do in summer, concrete cleaning. Winter in the West is not nearly half of what you people in the Mid West and East get, oh and you Southern people too!
  19. I Can't Hold Back Any Longer.

Good idea Tim. The one thing that would bother me is PWNA probably would charge way to much for this at home open book test and certification as a general contractor pressure washer. Speaking as a member but not for the PWNA they charge for the books, the class and then to take the test and be certified. I feel it should be one price for all OR at the least books only would be a seperate cost and not a very high profit making one. I understand they have to make money on everything they sell and I am not against that but when I added up all cost for the enviromental class it was if I recall something like $700 or so. Add to that the yearly or every couple years recertifaction and it becomes to costly for many guys and gals. Now what Tim suggested to me is a good idea and one they should look into. Who would give the classes or plan the books, who would check the test to be sure you passed? How often would it have to be retaken, retested and at what cost? Jon
  20. Wanna see my new toy

CUT IT OFF GUYS, your making me SICK that I sold my bike and all my gear. Reed that smile will drop off as soon as bugs find their way around the fairing! Jon
  21. Wanna see my new toy

I don't want to talk to Reed anymore, my feelings are hurt. I want my bike back, I do miss riding and have to do something about it, wife or bike? Nice bike indeed Reed.
  22. Bathroom Cleaning Specialist

Ron never heard of them when I was in the uniform business but here is the one I was thinking of and a link to their web site. http://www.swisher-hygiene.com/ Most all major cities now have companies that offer restroom cleaning and sanitizing services.
  23. Bathroom Cleaning Specialist

Not talking about home bathrooms but major businesses. Give me a few days and I will have the name, or I am sure you can find them in the yellow pages. Look at things this way, any idea anyone has most likely has been thought out by others and some might already be on the band wagon doing it. But that does not mean others cannot break into the market place. Jon
  24. Non-Slip Protection

Does that mean we can sue dlamontm98 for failure to change the wording in his post from "non-slip" to slip resistant?
  25. Bathroom Cleaning Specialist

Yes there is a company that does just that for businesses, can't recall the name right now but they have been around for years. In fact I think there are a few more doing it now but go into any business, restaurant or other retail business and most will have their decals on the urinal and/or other locations, soap dispensor, towel container. In fact the one I cannot think of right now is listed on the NYSE. They are THAT BIG, yes. Jon
