  1. Non-Slip Protection

congrats on your certifacation for non-slip protection. Would like to hear more about it if you care to share with us here. Jon
  2. Honda Engines

My take on the small engines is like the early Japanese imported cars, all are built inder one roof with different name tags put on as they leave the back dock. Honda is known for very long delays when it comes to approving warranty work, whether done on purpose or not many end up buying new engines or paying to fix old one before Honda even gets around to deciding what to do, in other words their customer service stinks. I do not know from personal experience just from what I have read over the years on boards.
  3. Favorite Surface Cleaner

Whisper Wash Co. Big Guy 28", worked the heck out of it for 3 1/2 years. 24" Steel Eagle 3 spinner bars. Under a year old, works ok so far. Testing the Bad Boy 30", so far so good, I like how the handle fits, easy take down handle if you want space to store it. That's All Folks.
  4. just wondering

Concrete, remember it was a demo, never the same as doing the real thing. What stood out to me was the cost factor. Then if there is no ice company around then there is no dry ice. Also remember dry ice last 24 to 36 hours. buy it and use it, don't store it. I will admit that it has its uses, everything does in our business.
  5. What's Going On?...

One evening Bob's boss needed to call him about an urgent problem with the computer. He dialed the employee's home phone number and was greeted with a child's whispered, "Hello?" Feeling put out at the inconvenience of having to talk to a youngster, the boss asked, "Is your daddy home?" "Yes," whispered the small voice. "May I talk to him?" the man asked. To the surprise of the boss, the small voice whispered, "No." Wanting to talk with an adult, the boss asked, "Is your mommy there?" "Yes," came the whispered answer. "May I talk with her?" Again the small voice whispered, "No." Knowing that it was not likely that a young child would be left home alone, the boss decided he would just leave a message with the person who should be there watching over the child. "Is there any one there besides you?" the boss asked the child. "Yes," whispered the child, "a policeman." Wondering what a cop would be doing at Bob's home, the boss asked, "May I speak with the policeman?" "No, he's busy," whispered the child. "Busy doing what?" asked the boss. "Talking to daddy and mommy and the fireman," came the whispered answer. Growing concerned and even worried as he heard what sounded like a helicopter through the ear piece on the phone, the boss asked, "What is that noise?" "A hello-copper," answered the whispering voice. "What is going on there?" asked the boss, now alarmed. In an awed whispering voice the child answered, "The search team just landed the hello-copper!" Alarmed, concerned and more than just a little frustrated the boss asked, "What's going on? Why are they there?" Still whispering, the young voice replied along with a muffled giggle, "They're looking for me!"
  6. just wondering

Have seen the demo at the PWNA in Las Vegas 5 years ago, very expensive to buy the equipment and then finding the Dry Ice. It also is very expensive to buy. But yes it did a great job, or the guys who sell the system did.
  7. My new truck

No wonder it looks so fresh, new paint. All I can say is your competitors in NY best watch out, your growing fast!
  8. My new truck

Very nice John. do you plan to keep it RED or paint it black like your others? I vote keep it RED.
  9. Correct me if I am wrong but I believe here in CA a non-compete clause is illegal since it prevents people from making a living in their chosen trade. Jon
  10. Welcome Michael

Now Michael about that "REPUTATION", I doubt it will ever go away, your just to good for that to happen. <marquee>Welcome to The Grime Scene.</marquee>
  11. Tire marks???

Robert Ray I can understand your concern about telling us the name of your account but we do need to know exactly what your talking about. You mention bike marks, truth be told I cannot recall ever having that problem but car tire marks yes. Some just will not come up even with hot water, is the concrete smooth or brushed, if brushed then they will be much harder to impossible to remove. Also you say this is the apron, meaning from the street across the sidewalk, right? Never had a customer worry about that section, now if in front of their store I can understand wanting it cleaned. Jon
  12. Hi Joel, All moved and settled in your new home yet? Intersting bit of information about brick masons, did not know they got paid by the number of bricks they lay. Jon
  13. How Did I Know That?

True Paul but you know we do not consider you a disappointment, we consider you one of the guys. I am sure many of us have found information, jokes and what not from other sources and shared them. Just keep doing what you do, we like that in you. Jon
  14. How Did I Know That?

And to think all this time we thought you were the next Einstein! <marquee>Bloody heck.</marquee>
  15. Attitude Adjustment!

Thanks Dan, Beth took that of me at the PWNA convention in Las Vegas this year. How's the growing family? Jon
  16. Attitude Adjustment!

Paul I do think I see how your better half motivates you, on the second picture, just to the right of it looks like a small CATTLE PROD. I bet she pushes that button and you JUMP saying YES HONEY I am going to work RIGHT NOW. And if any of you have never used a cattle prod you have no idea what it can do to motivate cattle, growing up I have used them, and let me tell you never stand behind any animal when you use one. Jon
  17. Location, Location, Location

OUCH:bullistic Now the way around the golf ball removing is simply have a female get them!
  18. Rain rain go AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A really dumb question since you can ask the same of me but how do people ever manage when it is so humid your a walking towel? I could never live where it is that humid, I would break out itching all over and scratching to the point I would have to have socks on my hands. Your asking how I like the heat, I don't, born and raised and till 1980 lived very close to the beach. Had I known how hot it was here I ask myself if I would have turned down the promotion I was offered to relocate here. And the wife still wants to move to Hawaii, sure anytime she wants to move she can, she has family to live with there but not me, not on an Island. Well not that one :)
  19. Rain rain go AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just get a monster fan and blow it way across the good old USA right to So. CA. we can use it to cool down our 100+ temp. You can always move to the Coast, more humid but less rain, right?
  20. water broom

I believe someone makes a water broom, anyone know who and how I can contact that person. Not the people that sell them, the person who invented and manufactures them. This might be a legal issue with someone in CA who claims to have just invented one and is giving them to Fire Dept. and other public utiltiy companies as well as cities. Also the Pitch Witch, is Glenn the inventor of that or just the distributor? Thanks, Jon
  21. water broom

Mike I agree with you but he has snowed the Fire Departments and every city and county in my area with his EPA sales pitch. They are falling left and right over his claims and by giving them FREE his product to use he gains untold free publicity that works better then the best sales talk any of us can do. Notice his demo is on blacktop and not concrete!
  22. water broom

Here is the product I am talking about. www.watermiser.com Anyone that feels he is stealing a patented copy righted item please pass this web site to those people The owner of this company is John Schommer. A quote from his web site: In order to qualify for the rebate program you MUST BE A SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA BUSINESS that is currently using a garden hose, hose and nozzle, power washer, or any other water using device for outdoor cleaning. Think he is our friend in this business, thing again.
  23. Smilies and such

Beth cute little devils!! Is there a way to put stuff like that in Email? Jon
  24. Sun Block

Not how you sounded last week when you gave short shorts an underbid estimate:D Bob we call those Senior Moments. Don't fret the small things buddy, just remember when you sit around saying I wish I could turn the clock back to the 50s and know then what I know now:rolleyes:
  25. There are a few remote units out there, not all are equal in quality and price. I do not use one but might be nice to be able to turn on and off the burner without having to walk back and forth. Question is is it worth the cost of the system? And are they easy to install? Jon
