  1. Mike I do look at the labels and if there is a choice other then China I buy that item.

Plainpainter, you truly don't understand what all those demo's want from you, your rights to freedom.

Not saying the Reps are any better but even the governor of NM is full of BS.

If you have been following what he says ask him why this state has some of the worst failures in schools, why so many are un-insured and why so many drunks are still out there driving after being arrested for DWI 15 plus times.

What I am saying is neither party is worthy of having a President in the White House.

Problem is what party is there to compete against the big money lairs?

  2. Hey who that is running for President, any party is willing to pass a law making out-sourching illegal and retroactive say 10 years?

Who running for President is willing to say STOP all imports from China?

Which is willing to say America FIRST and to hell with pretending we have to continue to show the world we care about them?

I cannot count the number of years I have always said take care of our own first, if there is anything left over then go help those less fortunate folks.

As long as we have people that don't have shoes, food, clothings and roofs over their heads I say to hell with all the other countries.

I make on exception here, those house less folks to lazy to want to work and do their share, not the truly homeless mind you but those that said why should I work when I can get it all free,

  3. How many saw Al Bore's BS movie? good for you, I watched some and said this guy is a big lair, go look up his little home and tell me what he is doing about all this Global Warming?

Speaking of which we end up getting snow for Thanksgiving, so where is this warming coming from then?

Ok do I believe in it, yes and no, as many have said things change, more people, more things, not just cars and other things that burn fuel but many different things that add to the dirty air and health problems.

How to slow this down, well as much as I do not normally agree with China nor buy things made there they have one good thing going, two kids, that is it TWO CHILDREN. Slow down the birth rate for starters.

I moved to NM two years ago, all I hear is there is not enough water so CONSERVE but there is plenty for the city to issue 30,000 new building permits for houses alone, not counting industry.

Where is the water if I have to conserve?

I have no lawn, I have very few plants and they are not the kind that need much water. Where can I cut back to help? Dig a hole and build a privy?

If you truly believe then why are you pressure washing, burning up fuel, using water and polluting the air?

As for Jeff being happy Bush is gone, well that might be good but please don't bring in a demo, all they want to do is take away everything most of you believe in, ah don't bring in another beast either.

not much choice now is there?

  4. You wish they would log in, ok here is one way to try and make that happen since you have the phone book open, check all that have web pages and send them an Email inviting them to come check out TGS.

Those that don't have web pages if you are up to it a post card or letter on your letterhead inviting them to check out TGS.

Or start a round table in your area.

Or buy them all out and own Texas as far as pressure washing goes.

  5. Racechaser what makes you think your the only one who has the guts to say he or she is a registered Republican?

Years ago I was a Dem and voted party straight down the ballot, at some point I got fed up with them since they are anti 95% of what I believe in.

I switched to Rep, but I do not agree with everything any party has to offer.

How do I vote, not by party, not by who lies the least but by two things, one is this person seeing things as it should be and is this person going to be honest with us.

Easy to learn some of that, past records.

Truthfully I don't trust any of the Dem's running and if I had to pick one Obama at this time would be my choice but he too is anti gun so he would not get my vote.

On the Rep side their all a bunch of lairs too except one, a former TV star and former politician.

Now I can see all of you agreeing with me on how it honestly should be, we should not be forced to join or register to one party just to be allowed to vote.

Second the ballots should have EVERYONE on it regardless of what party they belong to.

Coming from CA where every party is recognized to New Mexico that only recognizes three parties is 100% wrong.

Oh and No I would never vote for Governor Richardson and nor would you once you learn how easy it is to buy what you want.

Ok I have said to much here but in ending I do not hate or dislike anyone because of what party they are a member of.

  6. From an old retired PWer.

I was trained by someone out of state and only because I knew I was not even going to go into the same field he was in, just learned the basic of how to do etc.

That to me is ok, your not training direct competition nor someone in your own backyard.

Alan and I have bid jobs and won them splitting it right down the middle and it worked great, one reason TRUST.

We lived about 2 hours apart and I or he could have easily drove that far and looked for accounts, again TRUST comes into play here.

To train someone that is a direct competitor to me is asking for big trouble as a couple here have stated.

To John T. your heart wants to help others, but are you comfy enough to know some of your accounts just might leave you for the other guy?

Look at things this way, he is new, you train him, he wants to start making money and where is the first place he is going to go to get new accounts, YOURS.

I have been contacted here by someone that is very interested in getting into this business and I have met him, I can tell he will do well, he knows what he wants to do and is setting his plan in motion slowly.

I can give him advice, I can make suggestions on equipment but I have no knowledge in the field he wants to learn.

I can and will ask others in that line if they are willing to train him for a week when he is ready and none of those people will be here in NM.

So train someone IF they live a couple states over and you feel ok about it.

Train someone in your own area as long as you're prepared to lose some business.

Do not train anyone if you truly do not feel ok with it, remember even if he is not an employee and is working free to gain experience your still liable for anything that happens to him.

Talk to a lawyer and have something drawn up that will relieve you of all liability if he does get hurt OR if he does damage to your customers stuff.

  7. Alan my signature is oh hold, I am waiting for the Lady of TGS to put it in, the logo and link to my web store.

Each time I try it it goes straight to my Email.

Go ahead and write me up if it pleases you but I must warn you, white vehicles are the color of choice to paint on!

I have been very busy getting books listed, now at around 6300 listed and 40,000 plus setting in the garage waiting their turn.

Looks like most my trips to CA are over, might be one more load but not sure yet, waiting to find out how many and if it is worth my time.

    How's things with you?

  8. ICE campaign - "In Case of Emergency"

We all carry our mobile phones with names & numbers stored in the memory but nobody, other than ourselves, knows which of these numbers belong to our closest family or friends.

If we were to be involved in an accident or were taken ill, the people attending us would have our mobile phone but wouldn't know who to call.

Yes, there are hundreds of numbers stored but which one is the person to contact in case of an emergency? Hence this: " ICE" (In Case of Emergency) Campaign

The concept of "ICE" is catching on quickly. It is a method of contact during emergency situations. As cell phones are carried by the majority of the population, all you need to do is store the number of the person or persons who should be contacted during an emergency under the name: "ICE" (In Case Of Emergency)

The idea was thought up by a paramedic who found that when he went to the scenes of accidents, there were always mobile phones with patients, but they didn't know which number to call. He, therefore, thought that it would be a good idea if there were a nationally-recognized name for this purpose.

In an emergency situation, Emergency Service personnel and hospital staff would be able to quickly contact the right person by simply dialing the number you have stored as "ICE."

Please forward this. It won't take too many forwards before everybody will know about this. It really could save your life or put a loved one's mind at rest. (Or get a loved one's feet into action.)

For more than one contact name, simply enter ICE1, ICE2 and ICE3 or however many you want to help you. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ A great idea that will make a difference!

Let's spread the concept of ICE by storing one or more ICE numbers in our mobile phones today!

  9. Very very interesting.

    Pass the butter ... please.

Margarine was originally manufactured to fatten turkeys. When it killed the turkeys, the people who had put all the money into the research wanted a payback so they put their heads together to figure out what to do with this product to get their money back. It was a white substance with no food appeal so they added the yellow coloring and sold it to people to use in place of butter. How do you like it? They have come out with some clever new flavorings.

DO YOU KNOW.. the difference between margarine and butter?

Read on to the end...gets very interesting!

    * Both have the same amount of calories.

    * Butter is slightly higher in saturated fats at 8 grams compared to 5 grams.

    * Eating margarine can increase heart disease in women by 53% over eating the same amount of butter, according to a recent Harvard Medical Study.

    * Eating butter increases the absorption of many other nutrients in other foods.

    * Butter has many nutritional benefits where margarine has a few only because they are added!

    * Butter tastes much better than margarine and it can enhance the flavors of other foods.

    * Butter has been around for centuries where margarine has been around for less than 100 years.

    And now, for margarine..

    * Very high in trans fatty acids.

    * Triple risk of coronary heart disease.

    * Increases total cholesterol and LDL (this is the bad cholesterol) and lowers HDL cholesterol, (the good cholesterol)

    * Increases the risk of cancers up to five fold.

    * Lowers quality of breast milk.

    * Decreases immune response.

    * Decreases insulin response.

And here's the most disturbing fact.... HERE IS THE PART THAT IS VERY INTERESTING!

    * Margarine is but ONE MOLECULE away from being PLASTIC. This fact alone is enough to avoid margarine for life and anything else that is hydrogenated (this means hydrogen is added, changing the molecular structure of the substance). You can try this yourself: Purchase a tub of margarine and leave it in your garage or shaded area. Within a couple of days you will note a couple of things:

    * no flies, not even those pesky fruit flies will go near it (that should tell you something)

    * it does not rot or smell differently because it has no nutritional value; nothing will grow on it. Even those teeny weeny microorganisms will not a find a home to grow. Why? Because it is nearly plastic. Would you melt your Tupperware and spread that on your toast?

Share This With Your Friends.....(If you want to "butter them up")!

    Chinese Proverb:

"When someone shares something of value with you and you benefit from it, you have a moral obligation to share it with others.

    So..., DO IT !

  10. You guys are babies, I am not OLD but a mature adult yet the best music was even before my time and if a time machine ever could send me back to the 20s and 30s I would flip out on that music.

I am a product music wise of the 50s and 60s, ok late 40s too and my opinion of music is most, not all but most stuff from the 80s on is pure junk.

Now before you burn your fingers flaming me remember what I said at the start of this post. I bet that if the people from the golden era of music were alive today even what I grew up with would be considered junk by their standards.

And I am a beach bum too, spent week-ends and summer at Muscle Beach in Santa Monica, walked to the beach daily, about a mile from our home.

Those were the days my friends those were the days.

  11. We tend to stay home and be safe while others go out and move the 5th into the 4th then wonder how they made it to the 6ths.

Here with so many drunk drivers it is even more safe to stay home.

Last year we sat out in our yard watching the fireworks show, this year thanks to the builders they blocked our view with a few two story homes. Grrrrrrrr

    Happy 4th all.

  12. I have never paid retail for water tanks, is there a manufacturer of them near you? If so go there and talk with the owner or manager and explain what your business is and ask what type of discount you can get and get a book on what they make, you will be surprised how many different types of tanks they make.

Here's a few links, check them out then see how good a price he has, remember to add in shipping if not local where you can pick up.

water tanks, plastic tanks, septic tanks

Custom Plastic Tanks Marine Water Holding RV - Plastic-Mart

See if any of these manufacturers are near you.

Plastic tank manufacturers of plastic water, storage, and septic tanks, poly tanks, and chemical tanks.

  13. Okay Jon, I did. An F-450 with the 6.4L PSD. Thanks for the idea.

Sheesh Alan you did not tell me you were doing that good, only that business is good!

Does it have a bunk and portapotty in it too:)

Leaving for CA shortly but again 4 days trip so no time to visit you, planning another before end of July if all works out and will add 2 days to trip hopefully so we can practice your diet.

    Jon

    PS: Post pictures

  14. Jeff we are enjoying life here in NM, far slower pace then CA but I do make trips back often for business. Mostly 4 days there and back for more books.

If I did not love my Super Duty so much I would consider selling it to you but the thing runs as good today as it did the day I bought it with 7 miles on it, today it is pushing 100,000 but not there yet.

Worst thing about accidents is how it makes you realize how much we depend one our vehicles to get around, whether work or pleasure.

Things have a way of working out and you won't have to long to wait till it gets back to normal again.
