Still the kid in you enjoys such shows and as you know many of us just refuse to grow up when it comes to truly wholesome family movies.

First of all , pick the number of times a week that you would like
to have chocolate
(more than once but less than 10)
2. Multiply this number by 2 (just to be bold)
3. Add 5
4. Multiply it by 50 -- I'll wait while you get the calculator.
5. If you have already had your birthday this year add 1755
If you haven't, add 1754.
6. Now subtract the four digit year that you were born.
You should have a three digit numbe.
The first digit of this was your original number. (i.e. how many times you want to have chocolate each week)
The next two numbers are.
YOUR AGE! (Oh YES, it is!!!!!)
THIS IS THE ONLY YEAR (2005) IT WILL EVER WORK, SO SPREAD IT
AROUND WHILE IT LASTS.

Jeff a word of advice, have your attorney either read over the builders contract or draw one up that clearly states a start and FINISH date.
If the builder goes past the finish date he should be fined or his price lowered for failure to complete in the time frame.
Not sure if you can specify the quailty of materials such as dry or green (wet) lumber etc. but I am sure you checked this builder out with the BBB, state conctractors lic. board etc.

Hey Mike CONGRATS on becoming a Daddy, you will enjoy watching him learn to crawl, stand up holding onto whatever, taking his first step etc.
My advice, keep a camera handy, more if you have then in each room and for heaven sakes don't face him when changing those diapers, Young Faithful might just BLOW at you!
Trust me I learned that the hard way.
One piece of advice I think is out now is if you are using old fashion diapers with pins watch where you stick it, OUCH OUCH.

Besides I am not whining, just asked a question.
Ask that same question to the petro industry and they will take you out on a boat and weigh you down, DOWN deep so you won't bug them again.
Everyone is intitled to make a profit, but to rip us off is not right.
Unlike this industry where everyone has his or her price the gas stations are maybe a penny apart, that is not in my book fair competition. Now if one was say 20 cents more or less yes but a penny, no way.
Don't know much about biodiesel but I do know Kendra is in the business. Not even sure where you would buy it on the open road or in any city. If it was as great as they claim why then are there not a lot of stations selling it?

The Oil companies have created a false pretense for raising gas to the current levels. You will never see them go down to the levels on that sign again.Remember a couple years ago they said they will get it up to $3.00 a gallon and they did.
I still am waiting for our elected officials to explain to me why if one company has a minor fire all of them raise their prices.
Just how does Chevron having a fire cause Unocal, Mobil and others to suffer?
Diesel here is now $3.35 plus per gallon, when we went to Albuquerque it was at least .50 or more less and that city is in the middle of nowhere, go figure.

What you guys and gals need to do is have a forum only members can get into and post all those people that are problem accounts.
That way no one with a good name will do any work for him since you would all be sharing the cheapstake/yeller/abuser with each other.
I know you might say it is called blackballing and illegal but I see it as working together to help each other avoid the bad customers.
I see nothing wrong with it, let the new guys tackle it and gain experience.

What good would it do to call the COPS, John most likely would get that call anyway and divert the cops to the callers address and bust him for harrassing a cop!
John looks like that slab needs cleaning by the way. That BIG WHITE TRUCK, never seen that before, is it a new old truck and is it going to be painted RED like all the others?
To those of you that feel your wife would hang you if you tried something like what John did, hey wise up man, what do you think your wife is doing with all the money you make? hiding it, doubt it, just go open HER CLOSET and see all the new clothing she buys, now you got something on her for leverage.

Mike you want to be home at night with family yet want steady jobs, as Ron and Alan said most are night work and commerical.
I did very few day jobs, one because the restaurant had hotels on 3 sides and the street on the forth, could not work it nights as people would call the cops.
Weekly, monthly and a few every other month were scheduled and they always knew the night I did the jobs. I would send them a yearly schedule but if it rained it was pushed back a day or two.
Also many of them would call saying the BIG WIGS are coming can you do an extra cleaning before Monday AM or Sunday morning, I tried not to work week-ends but hey rush jobs cost more, no set price.
Remember I did not home owners jobs, just commercial and industrial work, steady work, steady checks. Three of the accounts I was considered a corporate vendor, billed directly to the accounts payable department, not to the local store.

Will be moving there in about a month and although not in the business would not mind meeting others just to shoot the bull with , not getting back into the business and we know no one there yet.

What has always bothered me is it is only that trash that complains the loudest we never do anything for them.
They have no clue that those handouts are OUR tax dollars.
They could care less anyway as long as that brown bag has a bottle of cheap wine in it and a pack of Camels.
The gangs is another story, if I had a say in it just round them all up, stick them and all the other low life behind a wall so high they could never get out, give them water, seed and the tools needed to plant, grow and produce their own food and a place to live.
Let them kill each other off till just one remains, if he wants to behave allow him or her back into the normal world. Oh yes no cement headstones, they can use the rock they dig up inside the "gang city".

Yes there really is all that money out there and most, not all but most those people started investing it at a young age. Buy stocks, mutual funds, blue ship long term stocks.
Property and rent it out, buy duplexes and triplexes. Don't buy 12 unit apartment buildings that will always have something going wrong, screen your tenents very throughly, no druggies, working girls, animals, or ex-felons.
Stay out of debt, don't over buy, if you cannot afford it then you do not need it. Don't trade in a car because it is 5 years old and you want the latest model, keep the old clunker till it dies, just maintain it.
No trips to the Bahama's, do put the kids though college then let them know where the front door is and that you will be happy to put the deposit down on their first apartment but not co-sign, that way if they fail to pay the rent you are not stuck with it.
Don't go out to dinner 3 nights a week, eat out once every other week and to a class AAA place, settle for Sizzler or some other so so place.
Do what one ex-Californian did, pay a cop to plant evidence and make a mockery of the police department then play golf daily!
No better not kill your wife, Florida might have different laws if your not a Bush.
Don't and this I cannot stress enough, DO NOT use your credit card for everything, keep a low balance on it.
More so NEVER ACCEPT THOSE PRE-QUALIFIED CREDIT CARDS YOU GET IN THE MAIL, TRASH THEM AFTER YOU RIP THEM APART.
In other words live like a poor man and save for the day you can enjoy your riches.

If money was not a worry I would buy the best Motorhome in the 39 foot class and travel the USA and Canada coming back to see our family every 3 month.
That aside what would I do if I did not get into the PW bus, truth be told have not given it a thought, what would I do, why did you have to ask that question now I cannot think straight. LOL

It is always best to use the company vehicle but in this time of high gas prices if you do use other means of transportation I would suggest somehow very low key explaining why you rode or drove your other vehilce or bike.

Don't get to drive that classic car much so took it for a drive today while I did your estimate".
That should stop them from shying away from hiring you if your estimate is right.
Oh and someone has to turn in Pressure Pro's for starving that poor piggy:)

Hot dang, Georgia finally did what California should do, but why 3 years? I suppose I could say if your here illegally you get NOTHING from the minute you apply other then a one way ticket back across the border.
True Mike, not all are free loaders, there are those that truly are in need and not milking the system but those people tend to try and climb out of it, some really do make a better life IF only someone, some employer gives them a chance and works with them to learn.
Remember this, they are not stupid or they would not know how to work the system.

As far back as I can remember I have said any more then 2 kids fix both of them so they can do their thing and not make more babies to sponge off the working people with.
I stand by that remark today. If people with their hands out saying YOU OWE ME have more then two kids then cut them off all the freebie's, take the kids away so that they learn to accept everyone regardless of color or religion. Predjudice begins at home when parents say you cannot play with so and so, no other reason need be said, the little kids will soon enough get the idea the Black, Mexican, Asian is a bad person.
I think a lot of it started about the time they decided you couldn't spank your kids or stifle their individualism. Bring back corporal punishment and they'll start turning out to be decent citizens like us...well most of us anyway.The above quote is 100% right, I spanked my kids when bad, if they talked back a bar of soap was put in their mouth, if they played with the food they stood in the corner while we ate, if they did not eat their meal it was saved and served to them as the next meal. Remy and I did something right as neither ever got in trobule with the law, both have good jobs and show respect to others.
Those that steal in times of like this need no toe tag, in fact once they are shot, and they should be feed them to the animals and what is left just bulldoze into the marsh.
Whenever government starts dictating how we MUST bring up our family, telling us what we MUST do and when we MUST do it is when we stated losing our FREEDOM and it is going to get worst, much worst if they ever take our guns away, remember your history that made this the USA.

I would change one thing concerning #4 and 5, do not discount period.
What you end up doing is lowering the standard for everyone in the industry.
What I used to do for large accounts I was trying to get is offer a FULL job FREE.
Most of us call that a demo except most of you who do demo's do about 5 feet of the job.
I did the whole job, most took 1 1/2 to 2 hours but I always landed the accounts.
If they only wanted to see a small area done it was always right smack in front of the entrance! someone is going to have to be paid to finish that area, be it me or their regular guy or another demo till it is all cleaned.
Number ONE, so true if your foolish enough to say naw I can do it as good and fast as any other job then you got what was coming to you.
Walk away, tell them the soonest you could do the job right would be several weeks away. WALK AWAY.

Agreed, if shot at shot back and who the hell cares who is doing the shooting, for sure not a law abiding citizen but punks.
What thrill is there in shooting at people trying to rescue others? It is to bad those bad apples are not the ones trapped under water for say 15 minutes. Sorry but it is cheaper to bury them then to house them in prison for a few years.
Shot at me I can assure you I will shoot back and I can assure you it will hit the mark, if I miss the first shot the second won't miss.
