  2. Over-Saturated Market??

We have 999,001 P/washers in our phone books but try to find a company who ONLY does deck, fence, cedar home restoration.....1..Woodsavers of Texas.... actually we don't advertise in the yellow pages..we don't advertise at all...99.9% of calls are referals/repeat biz..:D We find only specializing in wood restoration has more benefits than a Pressure washing company in general. I"m not in a big price war against competition cause there are soo many P/washing companies here in Houston. We're going on 15 yrs in the bizzz and have found being able to offer a specialized service with an exclusive product means ...:lgmoneyey
  3. Yeah i apply all my chem with my shurflo...2 pumps for cleaning good to have a back up or atleast spare parts. My jobs are WAY too big for pump ups..;) Great soap to cut the grease/dirt...."Citrus Scent" smells good too  I have heard of guys using laundry soap too...
  4. Estimates - how do you handle them?

I know A/C companies that have a $35 charge that they will take it off of your bill if they perform the service.
  5. Rocky Mountain Spring Fresh!!:lgsideway
  6. I agree with Rod &Tony also when cleaning a NASTY moldy deck.. using a stripper/cleaner first to remove the first layer of gunk. Then if there is still some signs of mildew below then you spray a light mixture or bleach,

  12. deck stain

The Baker's Gray Away wood seal i use has been around for over 18 years and still growing.I am more known for the brand of stain use than my work itself.Your work will only look as good as the stain you use and it's longevity and reliabilty.
  13. Dan, You will get many people telling you there is no safe dillution of bleach when wood.Bleach will dry the wood up very much and cause cracks peeling etc. The key is to use a good pennetrating oil base stain to moisten the wood up and to prevent the cracking! The SUN does more dammage than the bleach..the sun will dry that wood up like match sticks if not kept oiled up Most of my jobs are mixed 12% Hypochlorite: 3:2 if not 4:1 with liquid soap of course. Now some jobs will be dirtier than others so you have to adjust ratios accordingly. You have to let the mixture set just like using strippers...the longer you dwell and keep damp the easier it will come clean. Well in my 9 yrs of restoring wood and using bleach/soap it's all i have ever used to clean decks, fences arbors etc. Hope this helps you can call me anytime.
  14. You killing me Ken!!:lolsign: :lolsign:
  15. :lolsign: too funny MIke If it aint broke why fix it huh :D I'll use any chem that works for the right job...
  16. This Zep 505 must have oxalic acid in it huh? Sounds like a good mix to do some light cleaning and i know what you mean about not having to use harsh strippers around plants, painted surfaces etc... There is NO chem other than BLeAch/"Sodium Hypochlorite" that will kill the mildew/mold spores. You might get them off the surface but deep down the mildew will return in most cases.
  17. did you have any mildew on that deck?
  18. $5000 to strip and clean each builiding and $5000 to stain each not including repairs..

  22. Thanks Jeff.. I use my shurflo for spraying all my chems. This job i mixed my chems 3:2 but only had surface mildew. Now this is Choice Decking not Trex, they are 2 different products and i like Choice decking much better. I have been staining this same job for the past 6 yrs or so.My customer just loves the look of the stain that keeps his deck looking just like they built it.
