  1. I have that happen every now and then and Beth is right she'll be caling you. You would think when people say "I'm gonna sell the house" they would want everything to look as good as it can huh. I also get people buying stain from me to do it themselves"2000 sqft dock" yeah right. I get a call a few months later wanting me to finish the job cause the 2000 sqft.was a little more than they could handle.:lgbounces
  2. RLS I'll shrink your pics for you if you mail them to me. seymore1024@gmail.com
  3. Pulsating ShurFlo??

Mike is it like it's sucking air might have loose clamp or something? Did you adjust the pressure switch?
  4. Thanks Michael  The chems cleaned the stones they were pretty grimey with all the pollen we have in the air. They looked better after i used the Oxalic and rinsed them off real well.
  5. I think it was the oil base S/W stain i stripped off and it had only been on the deck for 1year.
  6. Here was another of the rail before and after.
  7. Yikes...:lgmoneyey I was lucky to find here in Houston $1.71 for reg. unleaded but avg around town is $2.15 or so.
  8. Thanks Carlos i'll keep that in mind if i ever move :) Cali just need to lower the gas prices!:lgbugeyes
  9. Thanks Carlos  Yep i sure do love it when my brews work for me with very little effort to remove the old finish. There hasn't been too many old stains i can't remove :D
  10. Yes Barry i used a S/H stripper i make myself and let it dwell for a few minutes then it rinsed right off.
  11. Favorite Fast Food?

I'm not eating chilli at Wendy's EVER!!!
  12. Tony I think it was just the O-ring swoll up cause it was about 1/2" to big and didn't want to prime.Changed the o-ring and back in service  My cleaning pumps only get water run thru them and they run like champs. It's only my staining pumps that give me problems but they also get a workout on the 100 gal fence jobs. I will start trying the degreaser and see if that helps me out also thanks for the tip Rod.
  13. What would you do?

Hmmmm you could always blow it up and start allover again :D How big is that deck 300-400 sqft? I guess it would depend on how much he's willing to spend on repairs. You could bid a deck in that bad of shape and the bid is more$$ than the deck is worth :) Are you talking 5-10 boards some sanding maby? Are you thinking of using a solid stain? That might help hide some bad boards.
  14. Tony This is the O-ring i was talking about that will expand and the pump won't prime.
  15. extension ladder

I use all Werner aluminum Type IA heavy duty...16 Ft., 24 Ft and 40 Ft. that weighs a ton but the wind is not going to blow you away. I usually charge xtra if i have to use the 40' on any job.
  16. Tony Same here with the prime bulb need to add one too on my pick up tube. When you take off the housing of the pump there is an O-ring on the very top that fits in a groove. It's a pretty big O-ring maby and inch or 2 wide give or take. If that doesn't ring a bell i'll snap a pick Mon. and post it
  17. Michael I'll clean my shur-flo's with soapy water solution "Dawn" run about 2-3 gallons or so thru them.I'm using oil an oil base stain so anything to help cut the oily residue. Now my stain is made with mineral spirits so over time it will expand an O ring inside of the shur-flo.So when i'm having probs with the pump priming up 9 out of 10 times that's the prob. After i trouble shoot filters pickup tubes..etc. Just replace them and you good to go
  18. I have seen i think it was Reed who uses this spray bottle. If i remember rtight he said they worked pretty good. Hope this helps.
  19. The Gray Away wood seal I use is made from Amteco's oil and it's been a great stain for over 10 yrs.
  20. Favorite Fast Food?

Jon,was that up in N.W. ?I kinda remember hearing about that. That's pretty bad if it takes people to get sick from the food for the restaurants to get their act together! I grew up working in restaurants so i know the ends and outs of them. That's probally why i would rather stay home and cook my own meal atleast i know it's safe.
