1. Troubleshooting/bypassing thermostat.

Andrew I know you have been around for a while but TGS now needs a signature in your profile. Thanks
2. Here was one of my favorites working around the pool they're always fun!
3. If I have a color sitting for a while i'll have to shake/stir it. I just went through 140 gals in a few days on a fence and didn't have to stir much it was pretty freshly mixed. You can't rig up another pick up tube on your deckster to fit in the spout on the metal cans?
4. Well a deck that old and dry a semi solid was a good choice. If I was you push the semi solid on older decks instead of the semi trans and I bet you get a better sqft /gal on those older decks with a semi sold?
5. I like the design of that deck and the 2x12 under the screened porch has a trippy looking wood grain! Can't wait to see it finished!
6. That's a great looking deck Tony nice job love those 2 tones! It's not as solid looking as i thought a semi solid would look.
7. Good luck with that let us know how it goes... You investing in that fancy trailer?
8. I see a lot of people selling their great staining over priced rigs. Who needs a 5K rig to stain fences and decks anyway I don't get it .... They called me years back trying to get me to switch stains telling me the Cumberland Brown was made to compete with the Gray Away Cedar Dark I wasn't going for it. I didn't like that copycat approach and I wasn't impressed with the stain either the sample they sent me just didn't look right. I can't remember all the problems I have heard guys have had with WD but it didn't even make the stain poll Beth created for 2013 I don't hear about it much.. Is anybody still using WD? Are you looking to try WD stains Gene? You know what it's selling for per 5?
9. Here is another view no perfect but the homeowner was very happy he thought i worked some magic...:o)
10. I can get you all the stain you need in plastic buckets all day long Rick! :o) I bet those metal buckets weigh more for shipping? BTW the reason buckets are sucking in now cause they have to be more bio degradable and it's the mineral spirits evaporating through the plastic from what I've heard. P.S can't they give you a metal can with a spout to pour that's AC has for their metal cans..
11. That's what i was going to say cardboard but i usually paint pad the excess from under the rail and blend it it like Rick said feather it in. I think it's going to lighten up for you in time to where you never see it.
12. It's been quiet here in the wood restoration forum so I thought I would add a little fence I worked on over the weekend. The outside of the fence was stripped and brightened and the inside was cleaned and pressure washed.Total was around 375 Lft. using up about 15 gallons in just under 4 hrs to stain. I just love getting 165 sqft/gal on these old fences! I really hate sprinklers not adjusted correctly to not hit the fence and cause damage to the soft cedar. The water has lot's of chlorine in it around here!
13. Yeah there is still some grey on it 1 part 12% 4 parts water some soap then pressure wash again then brighten.
14. I'll add some stripper about a cup to a light bleach mixture wash/rinse real good and then brighten. I would rather minimize the use of stripper as much as possible as it will fur up on you more.Sometimes you can't stop the furring depending on the age of the wood it's just bound to happen. It sounds like a bleach mixture make those black spots go away but it's hard to tell with out pics?
15. Here was 33# of yummy spicy good fatty juicyness that didn't have a chance! :o)
16. Here was one of those why did you wait so long to re stain after 10 yrs? It was cleaned with BDA and stained with BGA Special Blend with 130 sqft/gallon not bad for a 10 yr old fence! The sprinkler marks are not perfect but they are a PITA to darken 100%!
17. Before and after cleaned...
18. Thanks Bryan...Not a problem I'll share all the info you need .. Thunder going down tonight Rockets upset OKC!
19. Thanks Steven .... Yes i probably do enough fences to stretch to Maine and back to Texas.. :o)>
20. Thanks Gene! You staying busy this Spring?
21. Time to make the donuts

Will do... had one guy work one day and not show up again and i thought it was an easy day he only brushed in a 3' gate by hand. SMH
22. Time to make the donuts

It's not even funny how busy I am with 3500 lft 2 sides of fence to stain next week. I just got a call for a 1K of fence to stain and tell he me has 6 K for me to stain soon! That's not including some homeowner fences to stain plus decks that are waiting. Note: fence companies are great to work for all new fences and long fences too! I need some good help to hire i'm not going to make it thru the summer!
