WE HAD THAT THE OTHER NIGHT!! My wife is going to clog my heart for sure watching that channel.... It was quite tasty

we upsell a coat of wax post cleaning... Our targeted markets have preferred having their home once a year...heck mildew has stayed away in the course but...its about service

hey, drop the box cutters here... vinyl restoration products are vinyl restoration products. I'm not saying to use it on the whole vinyl sided house (it would work however) I was asked what I used. This home is exposed to the sun on the shutter side, and if I'm coming back next year.....it is all part of detailing a home like a automobile. Continuous care. $58 per half gallon vs. $9.50 a half gallon

Since squirt asked....armor all extreme/high gloss If its good enough for vinyl on a moving vehicle its good enough for vinyl shutters on a stationary house...just my theory. If you can wipe your butt, you can shine shutters! The beauty of this house is that we are monitoring the duration and appearance at regular intervals...I'm there at least once a week, shooting pool or watching a game.

yes they are vinyl. No I did not use Flood's Restora

Hmm, I recognize the top photo on his housewashing page. I waited an extra hour for the after shot. Funny now, since I saw this thread I started putting an id on any photos I post. -
Finally have had some time to download photos and post Miss Cocoa's picture. Its been crazy since we brought her home, my cold I was feeling affects from the weekend we picked her up kicked into high gear...only got 2/3rds of a project done before getting worse + got pink eye + had a planned getaway to see Carolina @ Washington....that didn't go as planned but WAS eventful. Here is Cocoa ready to go somewhere...

I rediscovered this link over the weekend. Adds to the confusion I think. http://www.moldadvisor.com/bleachmyth.html

I just saw the irony in their statements about its ability to clean mold...didn't mean to strike a nerve with anyone south of here. I don't care what people use to get the job done, I DO care how people represent an industry that has yet to mature, with all the homebrew recipes and advertising claims by products it makes each market susceptible to slanderous claims towards legitimate methods. Our advertising takes no jabs towards anyone elses method, we promise to deliver the results they expect and to do no damage whatsoever to the surface we are cleaning.

I'm almost embarrassed but more proud, that our puppy is a rug muncher and box licker....just can't keep little cocoa from crazy behavior...must be a carolina thing. I'm cool with that, if the oppurtunity arose our collective a$$es would be there. BUT its better to use the inspiration to by a vacation home there.

What Grade of Gasoline do you use
PA Dutchman replied to Aplus's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
Nice to know that about jet fuel...kerosene....ITS obscene how they use "fuel" costs as a reason to charge for for stuff. Like trash companies, I'm sure they pay 'consumer price' for their fuel station at their HQ. Just read something yesterday about another 12cents being added to our fuel tax at the pump...for "mass transit"...if your riding the bus, taking a train dailly you are not filling up a car, probably don't own a car. actually I voted on this and from now on....I'm taking larry's advice. cheapest pump I find. -
Jeff, with as often as your equipment should have its oil changed, I'd go to a place where you can get the 2.5 gallon jug of Rotella at whichever weight oil you need. My father-in-law works for a national equipment rental company and he's said that it works great for high hour use honda engines. Ironically it works well for diesel trucks too...hell you can afford a 55 gallon drum Just keep it lubed!

the best part is having that customer refer you and inquire about your other services you can provide.

Yeah kind of like someone wiped a coat of armor, all over it. Quite an easy task if its just wiped on....we are all experienced at wiping High luster is even easy to provide, but just returning the total color to the shutter just makes jaws drop. Siding we just apply wax after the wash. Surface feels like glass months later. Just verified that Thursday, first house we did the "wax on" job looks and feels like well taken care of vinyl. That was done in April.

In my area Restora just isn't cost effective for profit (added time for labor to apply) $58/gallon is what I was quoted at the only place that stocks it. SO we employ another method to revitalize the vinyl shutters. Looks pretty much like new when we leave. Its a nice add-on to a housewash...which some people want done once a year, even every other year, we are closely monitoring those surfaces that have been treated. Almost looks like a coat of armor has been put on all the shutter.

I think Buddy Ryan said it best.....turn it into a damn parking lot.

Don't know of any reports on it other than 1st hand observation. When I did the first building's installation I included a gutter wash....that was in June and they still look just as pretty...not so on a job we did a week later without installing gutterfilter. One nice thing about getting more work in the same neighborhoods, is being about to check things over on the next visit. Don't know what we are pricing it at. Some of the roof lines are 3 stories off the ground. All are walkable roofs. Lots of decks and blank concrete pads. Celeste that was a good seed you planted in my head.
-
The gutterfilter product doesn't retain water so if water can flow through the product and down the spout it won't freeze inside the gutter. Granules that make their way to the gutter will flow through the product. Its guaranteed not to clog, no fee transfer of the guarantee unlike others and does not require any care to it like others. I'm submitting a proposal for an install of 12,000 lineal feet. Oh yeah it also reduces the re-emergence of the electrostatic (tiger stripes) bonding.

Cocoa is the one on Roger's leg. She is a trip, gets along well with our terrier, Moogley. Its funniest when she runs like scooby doo on our hardwood floors.
