Phil, The legs look a bit too short, but looks like you have a Great Pyrenees. Depending on the size, male should be around 100 pounds or a bit more. We have a female that we rescued.....They are the sweetest animals !! Big baby, emphasis on BIG Dont bring it to the pound, heres a link to the Great Pyrenees rescue, with contacts for the rescue people in all areas and I think Ga is listed..... http://clubs.akc.org/gpca/gpcaresq.html or you can email Terry Stephanick at east@gpcarescue.org <east@gpcarescue.org> They are awesome when theyre really cleaned up, but the shed A LOT. Big Polar bears but sweet.....and get along great with other animals and they ABSOLUTELY LOVE KIDS......Big Time!!! Good luck Here is our big bear..... -
Jeff.....seven? your a machine !!! keep it up !!!!!

Jeff, look into the locks that are used on ordnance magazines, the bail thingy that locks into the cylinder goes all the way inside so it cant be cut. they are great....Ill search and see what I can come up with for you.....but like mentioned above, they keep honest people honest......but a great lock keeps an untrained, and under equiped theif at bay...... a motion alarm is quick and easy too...... Ill get back to you

Ive been asking him that for awhile now.....cmon Glock, get that union working for you, if not get that lawyer to earn his damn money....!!!! Hate seeing this happen to us, politics and cities covering their butts at the expense of someones career, thats BS.....this job isnt what it used to be, eh John?

Tony, you dont need to smell it, one breath of a mist and the involutary coughing kicks in... :) ...but it doesnt burn like the SH does---ouch, typing with a 3 inch burn on my right hand from sundays nightmare.....

pole at HD, brush I stumbled on while looking for something else, no probs with the bristles at all....the brush has a black platic head and the bristles are bright yellow.......its big and fluffy like Scott said, they are in the paint department......cant miss them, theyre big

got mine at lowes or HD....pin lock, aluminum, its beige colored 18 footer I think if not a tad bigger......its great, was about 40 bucks if I remember right......I use a threaded brush for washing cars, its big, thick and hold a lot of soap...that was 10 bucks at a chain auto parts store.......works like a dream

Russ, 8 oz per gallon if it doesnt have a bunch of filler in it......wear PPE including resp, gloves and face shield, sell it in 20-25 pound buckets with a measuring scoop in it, give it a sexy little fancy schmancy name and let it rock !!! how about a contest to see who can come up with the best name for you, and the winner gets a free tub? plus a free tub for the guy who just came up with this contest idea.. :)

Ive got the blue fiberglass jobber from one of the internet sites, it noodles with a high psi tip, but a larger hole its pretty rigid, pretty heavy and it rarely gets used.....the absolute worst thing is the twist locks on the poles, after just a little flex, they are a bear to twist loose, especially with wet hands......whatever you get, find a pin lock type.....

Behr disaster on cedar deck
tropical wave replied to Beth n Rod's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
He told me he already powerwashed his deck, thats what I found when we got there.....he did a bang up job cleaning it, dont ya think? There are other pics where it looks like he used a grinder on it....poor wood. The deck would have been happier getting set on fire.... -
thanks Mark....., mike, tommy, carl, vladimer, julio and shaniqua

What to cover during a housewash
tropical wave replied to Lou Beach's question in Residential Pressure Washing
we've had outlets catch on fire when the GFI failed...that sux--BADLY. we cover all exposed electrical outlets with duct tape.... we did one house with an intercom and taped those up too...... I probably go above and beyond, but that experience with the fire (and no homeowner around) changed my tune forever..... it literally scared me straight !!! as far as light globes etc, we just use care and work around them, if not using the M5, the dual lance is nice to throttle down the pressure and just flood rinse around the fixtures.... -
deck cleaning

was just hoping that someone that uses B****H would chime in and give the "proper" way to use it instead of searching and finding all the debate threads and doing it wrong.....and Shane stepped up to the plate  if the dreaded "B" word tool is gonna be used, just remember rinse, rinse, rinse, rinse and then rinse some more....... are you mad at me Ken.....?? :) :) :) :) :) :) :) Beth, I tried typing the evil word and the board wouldnt let me, hmmmm, LOL and now that its warmer out, time to head out and use some HD80....hey, it let me type that !!!!! -
Residential Housewash Sealers
tropical wave replied to Lou Beach's question in Residential Pressure Washing
Lou, I use Steves wax too, I think its called "wet wax" or something like that, also his rinse aid is nice too......If someone doesnt correct me, I'll have the trailer out tomorrow so I'll look at it and give you the proper name and the RPC #.......Im too lazy to go outside right now :) -
add some wet wax to your rinse.....spiders will slip and slide all over the place, their little feet wont be able to get any traction, then they'll move to the neighbors house...... actually, I just made that up, but it sounds good
-
Nice.....mine isnt really long, but it works really well.....(take it easy, wise guys) Lou, I mix my gutter mix 50/50 in a bucket and brush it on with my long pole too.....x-jetting it with the wind around here would be brutal, not to mention the waste.....I guess I could shurflo it but thats a PITA to pull that out just for the gutters.....I have a great brush, got it by luck at a auto parts store, its big and soft and holds a lot of cleaner.....I brush it on, let it sit a couple minutes and usually go over it again just for grins then rinse, they come out sparkling :)

deck cleaning

There is another route he could go if its just gray and mildewy with no previous sealer....B****H ........but we'll leave that alone this time around :) -
Behr disaster on cedar deck
tropical wave replied to Beth n Rod's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
Looks good Beth n Rod..... Not to hijack here, but to respond to Tony and Shane, we got called to fix this homeowner attempt at PW'ing his deck..... didnt get the job since he told me that he already cleaned the deck and only needed it stained....yikes...... needless to say I bid it thru the roof !! -
same here...... If the surface is too hot, I'll wet down the siding (and windows) to cool it off before tossing the housewash mix on there, let it dwell while doing the gutters, then one rinse top to bottom

Going to look at and bid on a job I need some advice on. It is a 2-flat Chicago Graystone building which has been painted roughly 8-10 years ago. The customer wants the paint removed from the stone front (2 story building) of the residence. I've been "told" its not lead paint, if it is I'll probably pass. (but how to tell?) I dont think I have anything in my arsenal of chems to tackle this one, so Eacho Chem? Prosoco? Menards? Cost? how do I bid a a paint removal like this? I will see it tomorrow and take pics, but give me some things to look at and think about prior..... Thanks folks, I'll post pics tomorrow sometime.... There are so many brick structures in and around Chicago, both old and new, with the right plan and chems, this could be a whole other area for us....... :)

Graystone Paint Removal
tropical wave replied to tropical wave's question in Residential Pressure Washing
Thanks Ken, I looked at some chems from Prosoco and Eaco regarding their paint strippers designed for this job. seems like it'll be a pretty big deal..... couple of pitfalls on this are the building is in a semi-crappy area of the city, the owner wants this done asap, and I think the city of chicago is making them do it, if thats the case there is certainly a "reason" for it---(lead paint) would be my guess..... anyway, Ill check it out and get the details and snap a few pics... thanks again Ken -
Ive got 2 decks to seal, and we're getting into the 40's at night.... they may never dry out, and if they do, may not get much penetration into the wood... any ideas on that ??
-
Every supply house Ive looked at only was 40's...... anybody know an internet place that stocks 65's.....like a 6510? be nice for those easy to clean decks and fences.....
