Great Post Russell, There is a thread that is on the BBS as a poll asking who is using what... I think that if you look at it references Ready Seal as the most common used amongst contractors which suggest it probably has market share over WT or others listed for the contractors that responded to the poll. If you are still undecided, call Pierce Fidgett at Ready Seal or Russell at ESI / I am sure you can get all of your questions answered. I dont know if I could agree with the statement that Wood Tux is easier to use if you have to back brush it after spraying... seems like more work to me.... again, I havent used it, maybe next year. Keep searching the BBS, you will get the answers you are looking for. Good Luck! -

I cant say wood tux is a bad product..... I can say that Ready Seals ease of use and results have never given me a reason to switch or try it... If Russell at ESI sent me a five gallon free sample, I would certainly try it. -

I do the same. hollow points in gun... target ammo otherwise... You also want to have a permit to carry in this state, otherwise you end up with a name change..... get caught with a pistol wothout a permit here and your new name quickly becomes "defendent".
-
TOO Bad you werent carrying.... In this state, driving a car into a crowd of people in an angry rage is assault with a deadly weapon and would be one of the rare situations in this state when you could defend yourself.

We have several projects with dark red ready seal on our website. We have two houses, one cedar and one board and batton, they both came out great. Click on the wood restoration link on our main page. Call me with questions! -
HUGE house - Need help!
Mathew Johnson replied to PowerPlay's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
Nathan, did you do a test area on the house yet? we did a house a little larger than that a month ago... see picss on my website.... Call me and I can tell you how our project went and what we charged. -
I either carry a sig 9mm or sig 45 when I am doing early AM, or night work or working in certain parts of some fo the cities.. It is kind of hard to get a conceald carry permit in some counties in this state, ours is pretty liberal if you have a clean background.

Perhaps Beth can help you. I believe she can view the IP addresses where the post origonate from. She may be able to locate your laptop by comparing IP addresses of the early post with your most recent post. Good Luck, sorry to hear about your misfortune. -

Well I voiced my concerns.... Thanks for everyones input. Again, these are my perceptions, by all means look into it for yourself. There is more, but the theme is the same. I will post my website link when I finish writing and posting my message to my customers. -

Yea It did surprise me...... maybe I will get a new T-Shirt.... Cant / dont want to jump on the band wagon.... There would have to be changes in the photos oin the PWNA BOD home page. I dont expect all of the BOD to see my point of view, but I would be willing to bet a few of them do,,, having them voice public concerns about conflicts will not likely happen. -

Ron... I am no longer interested in trying to change things..... I will tell my story and feelings on my own website to explain to my customers why I am no longer a member... I think that the ******** isnt the message I want to send.... I support thier mission statement concepts.... My wood cert is good until 2008, then I will inform my customers that I held a certification in the past and that I ws a past member and I will explain to them why I left. This is the reality as I percieve it and the PWNA is welcome to chime in and tell everyone how they see it. There are members on the BOD who clearly have outside interest with Alliance and some also as vendors. I have no problem with free enterprise. I just feel that if you are in a position to vote, make decisions or influence / persuade other members of the BOD to approve of activity that will benifit your outside interest than the member(s) or you should step down from thier (your) positions. Whether or not thier intent in making thier decisions is to benifit thier outside affiliation / interest, the end result will. One could argue that same when it came to hiring the New VP... The question could be asked.... Are thier any members of the BOD that have an ouside businness other than a contract cleaner that would benifit from hiring someone who is director of a large deck / wood organization? It is termed strategic networking. Take it a step further and look ath the selection process for BOD ballot members... The sitting BOD, past president and a few members control eho gets on the ballot. Why isnt it just an open ballot process? We have members that are on the BOD that have an address of official record of a vendor corperation as the same has his business and home. It would be interesting to see the job description / performance criteria that this person was hired to execute. Understanding that I hear this persons past performance is outstanding, I ask, why wasnt this job posted with a job description for all to view, could thier have been members of the org in addition to BOD members on the search and selection committee?. Education is important and needed.... It is the education that is important, but not the certification. Say I have a certtification in wood restoration from the Northeast Wood Preservation Association. WHen a customer looks at it along side of my PWNA cert and they dont know or care what the difference is. They do care that thier deck looks good when I am done Member recruitment is essential. So is ethical business practice and member retention -
