The Powe Washers of North America is the recognized leader in developing and communiction the highest standards in ethical business practices, This is the first line of the PWNA mission statement.... I dont feel that we as an organization are practicing what they (we) preach. I think if the general membership looked at the details of current events and the process of what has happened and is happening in an objective manner, they would agree. I don't expect the BOD to agree with my perception and views, but the events speak for themselves..... It is what it is. There is a reason no one is defending the PWNA . I would try to start a thread to get answers on the PWNA BBS, But it would just get closed.

Just returned from sunny Florida last night I sent a letter to Everette recently..... The issue runs much deeper than this one instance. I have brought into question the business practice of past PWNA decisions; I just percieve the ethical aspects of them differently from others. I wont address the specific issues here on Beths BBS, but I will post my concerns to my website in the near future explaing why I support the PWNA mission, but detailing why i cant support the leadership and Why I am no longer a member, and I will likely send a letter to each PWNA member outlining the same. This is just how I percieve and interperate the process of PWNA operations and decision making. Do I think that Everette, Henry and others will agree with me, absolutely not, but this is America and it is OK not to agree with each other. Correct me if I am wrong, .... I think that there has been more censorship on the PWNA BBS since Henry has become administrator and since the BBS is closed than when was open to the public.... It is used when convienent and censored when convienent I feel that People who dont or wont speak or write in public may have something to hide , They closed the PWNA website BBS for members only to see, Why not answer the questions there? Got me running by the sneakers LOL. In answer to your question Mike, I am not going to call PWNA HQ for answers. They closed the BBS down to nonmembers to use as a communication tool for members. I have asked for communication via the BBS, But as usual, it is used to answer questions and dissiminate information only when convienant to those in charge But enough is enough

I have asked several questions on the PWNA BBS. Henry has agreed to answer my questions, I am waiting for his written reply. Sometimes I feel that I am just paying rent on the Logo for 195.00 per year. The PWNA has become a complex org with its diverse membership, BOD's member affilliations, Interwoven relationships with educational companies and staff that are influential and active within the organization. With all of that being said, I like to use the logo on my marketing and website. As long as membership fees dont substantially increase, it is an org that serves my needs at this time. When you look at the membership numbers, Less than 10 percent of the membership post on the BBS or follow the post on the BBS; I am not sure if this is a positive or negative attribute.

I am curious why the membership has no input with these decisions?

It is worth it for marketing purposes. Everette is a great speaker.... you will learn a lot of useful and applicable information. I took the knowledge and went from mediocre deck refinishing to full building and log cabin refnishing... See some of the projects on my website

The larges corud I have ever seen at a fair concert Have seen skynard eariler this year.... It was a great show as well

Snagged another Cedar house today... First time in three years I was contacted by a customer who found me through the PWNA contractor website. He found me and then went to my website. He is quite a distance from me butn was pretty clear that he wanted me to do his cedar house and he will pay travel and lodging above the cost of the project. Here are some more pics. On the Pic of the house, at the bottom you will see where the bridge across the creek into thier driveway was torn away with the flood waters. The bridge was anchored with huge concrete headwalls and steel beams. The force of the flood waters took one of the neighbors cars way. To get to thier property after the flood, the national guard engineers cut a temporary road (after the flood, the road and creek were one). We stopped and saw them yesterday and sill had to drive through the creek 3 times to get to ther house. The driveway bridge repair starts on monday. You can also see where the stone wall was torn away. We sat on that four foot high, 2 feet wide fence and had lunch the day we stripped the buildings. The flood happened right after we stripped the house and garage That creek flows into the Cannonsville Reservior (One of NYC's Water supply reserviors here in upstate NY) about a quarter mile from the house. I had to use reclamation and diversion equipment to prevent water run off into the creek with the stripping and neutralizing components of the project. The Dark Red ReadySeal was the perfect color choice for this project.

The Garage and cabin here are board and batton construction. It took us 7 hours to strip both and a bit longer to stain. We applied 2 coats of Dark Red Readyseal. A problem with the camera lost my before PICS. The homeowner is looking for some. This house was effected ny the flood damage. It is located in Delaware County. The creek overflowed, blew off thier cellar doors, they had 8 feet of water in thier basement and were trapped in thier house for 2 days. Water (The Creek) was flowing over the bank behind the garage, down across the driveway,

This is a log Cabin Project we recently finished. We applied 2 coats of Readyseal. An interesting fact is that we brushed some of this and sprayed some as well. You can not tell the difference between the two areas. pardon the typos. my typing is much worse than my spelling, LOL
