  5. Clean Across America Projects

Well.... It was a huge success. I want to take a quick note to thank everyone who helped with this project. Thanks to Henry Bockman - King of Marketing - Germantown, Maryland. What can I say... I couldn't and wouldn't have done this without your enthusiasm, experience and belief that this was possible. Again thanks for all of your support and assistance with the project. To Tom Vogel of ACR Products.. your contribution of technical service, expertise kept our machines and equipment running flawlessly. Thanks for providing the extra pressure washing hose and turbo nozzles... who would have thought we would have had 1/3 mile of pressure washing hose out. Having an onsite technician and distributor with a full parts inventory was perfect. John Tornabene. Long Island, King of the $21.00 lunch: Your lift truck, faithful assistant and experience was invaluable. Thanks to both of you. Look forward to our next joint venture. Cujo Cooley - Covington, Ga with Pams Pressure Clean- you southern boys can sure clean a lot of property in a short amount of time. It was a real pleasure having you up... Thanks for the chemical offer and sharing your knowledge both with the execution of the project and with the assistance with the PR and media. Jim Palmer with Hydro Tek Systems, Redlands, CA. Will Do Soon... Sorry, I meant to share photos and details soon.... We have been extremely busy after the project due to the PR and News coverage. Myself and the PWNA were on the 6 PM news on two of the major TV Stations in my area.. The pre project publicity and the post project coverage have increased my call and work volume three fold.
  15. Shane, What is xylene and where do you get it?
  16. shurflo pump problem!

Try a larger orifice bozzle. I had a cone nozzle that did the same thing when I tried to spray a fine pattern - when I opened the nozzle to a larger diameter, the problem resolved. matt
  17. Get R Done

I don't care who ya are, thats sum funny stuff right there...
  18. Help with a bid

Tell the homeowner "thanks for your time and for calling me, but I can't do it for the other guys prices and stay in business. Please call me in the future if you have other cleaning projects or any problems with this one." I agree with others: $800-900 for the package
  19. $7,000 Budget for new equipment

Larry is offering some great advise with the back-up unit purchase. Both trailers I have are equiped with 5.6 gpm main machines and a 4 gpm backup machine, I had a coil rupture 70 miles from home nd the back-up machine saved my butt. If you were closer, I am getting rid of a dual axle 2004 16 foot open trailer. It might be a bit large for you.
  20. Cedar Deck

    Nice Job, looks great
  21. Hydrotek Thermostat Wiring

Call Tom Vogel... 610-392-1899. He can talk you trough the wiring over the phone.
  22. blown pump

I have a couple of CAT pumps - low hours if you are in a jam.
  23. Overspray at Neighbors

I have had overspray on vehicles from washing a house. If I think it is going to happen, I speak with the neighbors ahead of time and let them know I will rinse thier vehicles off immediately if it happens. If they aren't home, I rinse them immediately. I actually had a person pull in as I was rinsing off thier car... I told them what happened and that I wanted to prevent water spotting or any damage to thier property - They were reallly OK with it and glad I protected thier property and that they got a free car wash. Same goes for buildings.... A quick rinse when needed,
  24. ext wands

Call me, I may have something for you 607-435-5539
  25. Labor For Learning Liability Issues

I think that even if you are treating them as a subcontractor and they get hurt on your equipment, you will get sued... Check with the IRS... There are specific requirements for a person to qualify as a sub-contractor; one of them is that they have thier own equipment. If they spash your sodium hydroxide in thier eyes, you are on the hook for it,,, I have had someone ask me to work for labor for learning... I sent it to my attorney and he listed about 9 different ways I could get sued... If they get hurt on your clients property.... your client can get sued as well. If they knock out a window or peel paint... Who's insurance pays for it? The company under contract or the sub-contractor working for free? Beth and Rod have thier bases covered with puttng them on the payroll. Matt
