This whole thing has turned into a huge joke Charlie. There will always be suckers that fall for this kind of stuff. Can't fault someone for trying to make a buck I guess.

I travel more and more out of state because the Raleigh area is flooded with everyone that has cashed in their 401K to presure wash. Not faulting them, everyone has to make a buck. Business is not as good as it has been. Funny, most of the guys on the boards up North talk about 3 to 5 hundred dollar house washes. You are moving to the land of $175 house washes.

Glad you didn't cause an accident or harm someone while you were illegally speeding because you forgot to carry spare parts.

A license cost 25 bucks here. Liablity insurance for a one man show runs about 400 bucks a year. Insurance and license will not prevent that kind of work. I price everything over the phone, and I don't do work like that. The BBB is a scam outfit. They were just exposed here in Raleigh for deceptive practices. Most savvy homeowners know they are fraud. So, what is the answer to the problem. There isn't one. Some people do bad work. That's it. You getr a bad plumber or mechanic sometimes. Luck of the draw. Be glad it wasn't your house and move on. Life is to short to worry about what other companies are doing.

Why do I get the feeling this guy uses dogs to clean gutters in his spa in the small town where he is the mayor.

Rent a hydrant meter from the town. I do it every week in several different states.

You downstreamed degreaser on a house. Repaint it or pay to have it painted. You might need a better lawyer. If you mess up someone's property, apologize, fix it and move on.

Have you been in 11 years? Do you only use cold, and I mean really cold, water at very low pressure? Do you typically work 320 days a year and can afford your own plane tickets to round tables. If not please refrain from posting.

I run 16' eagle washes with 8gpm. Wheel/casters on a surface cleaner will make you lose your mind. They drop over the egde of sidewalks, drag in the cracks, can't tilt it to clean along a wall, make them way to heavy to carry up and down stairs in breezeways, can't run them along steps. I have had two 36' steel eagles sitting in the shop for years now because I thought they would be money makers. Guess it depends on what you use your surface cleaner for.

If you are using chems that streak, switch chems. Soap and rinse from top to bottom. Top facia and eves are usually the worst. Soap them first and then work your way down. Saves chems by allowing them to run down the siding as you start at the top.

Your pump needs to be even with your water feed. Why are you using a 25 hp for that small of a pump? Just curious. I use the same motors for 8 gpm. If the ethanol starts vapor locking in your fuel pump call me and I will talk you thru it.

Over the years I have glued carpet to shoes, dipped them in epoxy and dipped them in sand and just about everything under the sun. We clean thousands of gutters each year and I have been looking for something to keep us on the roofs and off the ladders on pitches over about 6/12. I bought some roof climbing slip on things from Envirospec last year and broke three ribs within the first 20 minutes I had them on. Jeff L turned me on to Cougar Paws a couple off weeks ago. I have since bought 4 pairs of boots. They are absolutely incredible. Only thing is, they are a little heavy. I called the company, got the owner and now have a free pair of prototype tennis shoes with the same replaceable bottom. They are insane. You can walk any roof out there. He said he may sell the prototype if there is enough interest. Check them out. When I find a company that is great, I want them to do well. CougarPaws

A pressure gauge has no business in setting an unloader. I can think of no reason for them to be in the aresenal of any pressure washer. To set your unloader: Useing the proper zero tip for your machine, have your bypass line in a position where you can see it, hold down the trigger, start the machine. Adjust your unloader until there is no water flowing out of your bypass hose. You are now flowing the max your machine will allow. Tack weld the stop nuts on your unloader. Take off your unloader and do the exact same thing with another unloader. You now have one installed with the correct setting and a spare with the correct setting.
