  1. Remove tips, flush lines, clean tips and replace. Hold surface cleaner on side to verify good flow from both tips.
  2. Concrete cleaning with Oxalic

You can also apply oxylic acid using and xjet m-5. Mix about 2 to 3 pounds per 5 gallons and spray it on the concrete. Make sure you hit all concrete because it does brighten it, and you will see where you missed a spot.
  3. Carpet on Deck

I have a deck and porch on a house that have that green outdoor carpet glued to the surface. The deck is vinyl and the porch has vinyl rails. My question is can I use my regular house wash which includes citra cleen and 1 gallon of 12.5 pool chlorine in a 5 gallon bucket xjetted on the surface to clean these areas without harming the carpet? The vinyl surfaces have the old green algae on it. I was thinking it may help to pre-wet the carpeted areas to help with the dilution of my detergent. Thanks for your help.

    Thank you, and your sons.
  6. This is the view I love from our river home.
  7. I don't know what you are planning on using the pump for, but 220psi or 360psi is more than you need for roof cleaning or for applying cleaners on wood.
  8. The X-Jet debate

Downstreaming all of my house wash chemicals, but still clinging to the M-5 for rinsing. On my J-rod 4way holder, I have My M-5 for rinsing, 00-40 for high soaping, 15-40 for low soaping and 15/40 for mid range soaping. With the M-5 with me at all times, it makes it easy to hit concrete walks or drives with a shot of OX for brightening or some HD-80 for a quick deck clean.
  9. Awning question?

Pre Wet awning topside and underside before soaping with normal house wash. Do not let dwell on awning any length of time. Rinse awning then rest of that side of house and re-rinse awning.
  10. The year of callbacks...

Only thing I see is a few darker runs that appear to have come from the weap holes in the siding which can come from spraying upwards on the siding.
  11. When I used the Xjet with 50' of hose, I found it easy enough to just wrap the hose around the top frame of the hand cart. Paul how much 1/2" hose will that stainless reel hold?
  12. By-Pass Tank

A 35 or 55 gallon drum would be all you need for a tank. Bob will sell you a hudson float valve and a line long enough for your discharge back to your tank. The discharge line back to your tank does not have to be a high pressure line because it just hangs in the top of the tank. Remember to aim this recyle line away from the discharge of your tank, to diminish the chance of the bubbles it creates from getting to the suction of your pump causing your pump to cavitate.
  13. Xjet Soap Pail And Hose

Yes, you can use a 50" hose for your Xjet setup and it will pull just fine. I had a setup with a 15 gallon tank mounted to a hand cart that I used for years and it worked great. I now downstream of course like mentioned earlier.
  14. Oxalic and Sodium Hypochloride

I have mixed some oxalic acid in a bucket that had recently contained sodium hypochorite(forgot to rinse bucket), and yes it does put off some heat and a great fragrance.
  15. Bar Stool Economics

    I drink alone!
  16. How do you spray your chlorine?

Downstream Chlorine on minimal dirty crete, and M-5 Chlorine on real dirty concrete.
  17. NO on-site water

It may not look to proffesional, but why couldn't you use an adapter(old waterbed fill kit) and hook up to a sink inside one of the units and run your hose out the door or window?
  18. Need Help With Mix

12% works better when downstreaming, and of course you can adjust the strength by adding more H2O.
  19. Looking for prior damage....

The obvious things like damaged siding, torn window screens, marks left on siding from a previous cleaning job gone way wrong, chalking, paint stripped from gutters etc.
  20. New to Residential Pressure Washing

How are you putting you applying your housewash solution? X-jet, downstream injector (what size), 12 volt pump, etc.?
  21. first vinyl

Should have used approximately 3.5 gallons of 12% and filled the rest of the way with soap and water for downstreaming.
  22. Your Favorite Charity

I have given my fair share for 30 years in a row to United Way at my real job.
  23. Need some quick opinions

I would be very carefull with the SH fumes in a basement, you would need a respirator.
  24. The trend in my area is stone, stamped concrete, and pavers. I love the rocks a lot better than wood of any sort. We are all going to low maint. homes and it only makes sense to me to pay a few more dollars up front and have your patio made of stone vs wood. If you do nothing to a paver patio for 20 years- it will still look good, try the same with any type wood.
