What does hijackin a thread mean? I'm new to all this? new to this forum. The things It's about. Just because I didn't fit in from the get go? By joining this group of washers I thought I would accomplish higher standards of operation. I told a customer of mine of 4-5 years that i would find the solution to her problem. Told her bout this new forum that I'm in!!!!! 2 replies. Both with lots of luck at the end.... Quality sells. word of mouth sells. I got that. And I got brand new companies under cuttin me. The customer doesnt know any better. They go with the lower priced guy. Most of the time. So I'm trying to figure out how to compete. Threads!!!! You guys talk about quality and this and that. customers readin this, yada yada yada!!! If a possable customer reading this. They dont care about threads or uppin ya webpage thingy. They want a good job at a fair price!!! I'm in the mixing bowl every day tryin to survive. We are not alike. You can not judge me till you spent one week in my shoes.

I did redo the website today. took forever. I dont sound like a hick with a pressure washer anymore. I redid all the pages except the coupon page. I used photo bucket for the coupons. Photo bucket... that's another day! lol!!! Now that the website reads better... I feel like I have a breath of life again man. There is more to it than just that, between publishing and saving. there was a major hurldle I accomplished today! With the website. I did it!!! Flawless!!! all links work still! My quality is high. Gutter cleaning I'm the top!!! Shame I can't charge top prices cleaning gutters. I'll take the downspout off the house to clean it if have to, sometimes that happens. the debri is so compacted. Theres no snakin the downspout. Tried that. has to be taken apart. no up charge. With washing houses even if I have to use more chems than anticipated. No change in price... I stay with the house. The customer might not know better, but I do. Very fair to the customer, sometimes not so fair to me. This last house wasnt fair to me. The customer gonna strike up some more work for me at his job and sold the guy accross the street finaly! tried to get him last house I washed. Well bein that I'm back on his street.... That sold him!!!

I did sink down a little low in the truck if anyone driving buy seen my truck. He made it funny! Why would a truck that looks as good as mine be worried about some sign like that? The county wouldve got it anyway. Luckily we didnt get caught. Wont happen again. I appologize and The advice I've gotten about my website working all day on today.

Beth he used the back of some old board, and painted with a paint brush gutter cleaning and the phone number.Runs in the paint. No quality in his sign. How would the quality of his work be? And out door signs illegal in that county anyway, county comes round and pick them up. I may have saved him from getting fined also.... The property that it was on belonged to the county. Not him. The bill? Well he got the piece of wood from.... Heck i dunno side or road? the paint maybe some leftover in basement? Beth this is someone that if the homeowner hired them and they got hurt, they woulld go after homeowners insurance. A guy doing a lawnservice for one of my cusomers did the same. It was funny and I thought Id share it. It was innapropriate, and I hope this forum can continue to help me improve. Hey the house came out great! Stayed with it till I was happy with it! Rakes had to be hit twice and the gutters one section i had to hit 4 times till I was happy with it. The back we had to set a ladder to be thourough with the siding cleaning. We did a gutter cleaning also there first and the gutters were punished with debri and clogged downspouts. One downspout I was almost to the point of giving up and taking it off the house and take apart to clean (no up charge), ... then it shot!!! Woo Hoo!!!! A clogged downspout shooting is a beutiful sound! The outside of the gutters were almost black. As always I did a little extra for the customer no xtra charge. He requested some extra cards and flyers to put out amongst his friends etc at his job! This is the 4th house on that street that ive washed this year! The guy accross the street came over and wants his house washed and his sons! So that makes 5 on one street this year when he calls back, and his son also in another county.

I'm really tryin to make a living doing this. Grow the company would be a nice thing. That would be a luxury. Almost all luxurys have been eliminated. The ****ers don't know it yet. I'm gonna win!

A scissor lift is what 4 500 a day! I rented a 6 story lift one time. 1,000 a day. rented it on a saturday. sunday is free. just in case. we did it in a day. Get the x-get. You will be giggling like a school kid after you see what it can do. Get the original if ya can. I like it. Mix like I told ya. Rinse rinse rinse. I dont know how much you got to do. This weeks stuff, to do the job? Dont pay them no mind. Get the x-jet n the chems I told ya.

If he is doing all the buildings there? Only prob bout overspray is on vehicles.

Brush the gutters? Hit the gutters twice if you have to, the way I'm telling you to do it. A 3rd time I found out no cleaner.

With the x-jet it takes 2 guys. one with the wand and other carying the bucket.

Oh I forgot! the home owners association, or property manager will put out flyers. Telling the day you will be there and when windows should be closed

Some of these guys are messing with you. You dont want to use high pressure and the scissor lift. If you can get the original x-jet get it. it shoots 40 feet. the others 35. The difference is the ease of operation. The newer ones twist the front, it goes fan tip. I keep the fan tip in my pocket and screw it in when i need it.

Are you just washing the siding and not the brick? This what I would do. buy an x-jet. do it all from the ground. much faster! I changed to the x-jet 6 months or so ago. If you have a pressure washer like mine 4gpm then use the black proportioner. Get a 5 gallon bucket. Buy some 12% bleach and some power house. In the 5 gallon bucket add 1/2 gallon power house and 1 gallon bleach.Top off to 5 gallons with water. It will rinse more easier. add the water to the edge of the bucket. less foaming. hit the brick and everything below with water first. Give the plants etc below enuf water so they full and not thirsty any more. the thing is you dont want the plants drinkin the chemicals. It will kill them. come back to them later with the fan tip and more water. Start from the bottom up applying the mix. hit the gutters too and downspouts. rinse the brick first. that shouldve been done already anyway. only dont soap up too much at a time because you dont want mix drying on anything! dwell the mix 3 or 4 min. you will watch the dirt change colors. right before your eyes. Its pretty cool! While you are dwelling hit with water, painted surfaces and windows. with the fan tip hit the plants too while you are waiting for the dwell on the siding. Rinse from the top down and move on to another section. Hit them plants again too with the fan tip till no more soap on them. Its way faster and easier than settin a ladder. That how I was washin houses for the past 5 years. With time you will have your own way that suits you better. Everyone just a little bit different and get the same results. Hope I helped you and I didnt forget anything. with the brick... Aint got that 100% figured out yet. There is a difference in brick. Older brick hit it with the turbo nozzle. You have to have common sense with it. It can do damage. Do a test. Newer brick fascia has a covering on it the turbo tip ... ya cant use it. This is something I dont know yet about brick.

The x-jet rocks! I'm sold on it. On house i did today, inside the screened in porch had to wash siding in there too. Used straight water pressure. It was just dust n stuff. came rght off! Looks brand new! Changed mix. Yea finally!!!

Its slow Adrian! washing houses 1 of the main things I do and push. I dont like changin what I already know. I'm a lil difficult! lol Changing that mix.... Changing that mix was something!!! We are not in the season of house washing. That has passed. I can leave Jeff on a job and go do some estimates. He produces same quality as me! with the x-jet.

Washed a house today with less soap than I usually have been using and kept the bleach the same! I liked the job and rinsing was quicker!!

Yea Sam!!! It would be nice to chill. I do that some times but always try to do something company oriented everyday. Even if its just washing the truck.

Do you have one that works great for you? Do you have one but not working all that well? Whate are some mistakes in the past you have made, and what did you do to change it. Did it work?

I already made one of them, years ago. Its a painting pole that telescopes out, with a bent hidden hanger at the end. does make a difference in the speed of cleaning gutters. If the roof cant be walked. Don't make the mistake of trying to grab too much debri. grab a little at a time and pull it to ya. bag it throw it to ground whatever.
