OSHA Quick Cards - everyone needs these
gutterdog replied to Beth n Rod's topic in Chemicals & Safety
Thanks Beth! I copied the mold one to show customers that bleach is reccomended for mold removal by OSHA. Hope it helps me with roof washing! -
I had some work done on my truck was about $500 worth of work. I gave him an old pressure washer that I dont use anymore just rusting in the shed. worth about the same. Also the company that did the graphics on my truck I cleaned his gutters and he took that price off the price of the graphics they were putting together for the truck. Nothing big yet but I like the idea!

Just got off the phone with my mom. Dad is not to do anymore sanding. Thank you very much Grime scene. You couldve added a year or 2 to my dads life by stopping him. He has the asbestos thing from the work hes done before so his lungs arent the best. THANK YOU! -

Yea what does water have to do with that? Our bodies are mostly water? I'm doing the sneaker thing too. Sneakers are best for roofs? Best wishes for ya and hope the healing goes by quickly.

I love marketing and cleaning! Have to write up a contract somehow that is legal. So you get paid! Realtors I don't like. Sorry. Its like they are doing YOU a favor to choose you. So I don't know. Kickbacks are illegal or limited in many states. This sucks so much! A clean house and roof sells quicker. Studies are there. A dirty exterior makes the possible buyer wary if, since maintenance on outside of home has been low............what 'bout the rest of the house? The realtor that puts the house up and agrees with you. Well if another realtor sells the house... You out! I got this much figured out. Keep me informed. - Mike -
'Nuther thing bout networking. Considering putting one contractor friend that rocks on my website to thank him for all what he's thrown me. I'll give him a whole page. Great guy, good friend! Weve been networking for 4-5 years now! Need to hang out with him for a day and take pics of his service. Put it all together for a nice page layout! We been throwing it around. Hes given me more work than I've been able to give him. Should be a good way to reciprocate? a subliminal way? I passed his card out with mine before. Thats outbound. Inbound is better and cheaper!

Networking. So far so good, kinda. some good some bad. I find it is best to network a guy that doesnt do same work as me (unless the job too big for where I'm at now). as far as adding or telling customer about your friends, network... This is what I have tried so far... I dropped it like a hot rock, couple years ago... The way I remembered what I did was In addition to passing customer my card I included other cards etc. The look on the customers face not good. Like I was shoving something down their throat theydidnt want, trying to rob them? It was aggressive networking. Maybe a more passive way? subliminal? Ive had 2 contractors ask to be on the back of my envelopes next time I print them up. This might be an idea? Heres a pic of my envelopes. Plenty of room on the back for other contractors... Do they pay to be on the back or throw me a bone every now n then if hit off envelope? If not, then how I know they doin same for me? Good thread! Along same thoughts. Networking does work. Her the pic of my envelopes starting out 2010 with!!! These are return envelopes to me.

Everyone knows I'm the "poster child" for being bullied in here! LOL!! I'm still here. Learned alot! I still dont use spell check, I do however use better punctuation etc. I've made a couple of friends, Learned new things. Hope that I have contributed also, even if to just a couple new washers. Hate to see the meanies in here ruin your day man. Dont let them.

I got the book and I'm reading it (Jeff G.), also I get emails from same.Doing the pricing thing, and the rest they can go in the old threads, earn it. This came at a good time. 'Cause I'm doing same thing everyone else is doing, and looking back at 2009... Did I do the best I couldve? I didnt. If you fine tune it I was horrible. I have a sign in my room. Just put it up. "Dont think about what I havent done, Think about what I have done". Heck this year I found the grime scene!!! That just to start!
