leather boots = pruned feet
ROBERT MCLAUTHLIN replied to CCPC's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
You know what I bought boots from there, and for the past month my feet have become prunnie also and I have not been washing lately. I think that your feet are sweeting. Mine are, my feet stink when I take those boots off and even the first day I wore them. First I was wearing 1 pair of socks and my feet were all wet. Then I tried 2 pair same deal. I even bought 3 pairs of boots to allow them 2 days to dry out but still them would become soggy. I am going to try to find a pair of boots that will let my feet breathe. -

What is the difference between an entrepreneur and a leader?
ROBERT MCLAUTHLIN replied to Beth n Rod's topic in Business Topics & Tips
a true entrepreneur is a person who comes up with a " turn a key operation " and a leader / manager , manages the system that the entrepreneur came up with. -
right now I work for a distribution center that distributes ac delco, delphi, catipillar, international batteries for car, trucks, far equipment and everything under the sun. My shift hours are from 4pm -1am but I have the option of comming in early if I want. Usually do during the winter, try to make as much OT as possible.

Does everybody start out as a "lowballer"?
ROBERT MCLAUTHLIN replied to Beth n Rod's question in The Club House
a lowballer to me is someone who knows what the job costs and cuts the price and does lousy work b/c they arent making what they should. For example there is a chain restaraunts that I was doing their daily cleaning. We had a hood company charge them $575 to do their hoods. This spanish cook that works for the company in a different store went around and started to cut the hood companies price by $125. Needless to say it was a disaster. First day he came out to my store he blew out the fan. He shot a bunch of water inside of the electric motor. He showed up with a dinky pw and his cook pants. He left a huge mess all over the floor that i had to clean up. He didnt wrap up all the kitchen equipment that well and his greasy water went in all the food. To me that is a lowballer and the sad thing is that the managers of the restaraunt gets a bonus based on money saved at the end of each quarter so this guy fits in great. Just as long as they get a sticker on their hoods. -
2001 gmc sierra 2500hd extended cab 4 door with 8 ft bed, 8.1L (496 cui) gas hog 125,000 miles it runs and starts like the day it came off the lot. Only problem I have with it is stupid b/s power mirror switch burnt out had it replaced and burnt out again. The only thing I would change is a sliding back window. Other then that I would buy another maybe the duramax gas is getting to expensive.

Problem With Surface Cleaner
ROBERT MCLAUTHLIN posted a topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
Over The Week End We Were Doing Work Over At A Steel Mill. We Had Some Concrete To Pw We Were Using Our Surface Cleaner And One Of The Nozzels Was Not Pushing Out Any Water Out Of It. So I Took It Off And Cleaned It Out And Put It Back On And It Still Had Problems With It. Did This Ever Happened To Any One. How Did You Fix It. Is It Something As Stupid As Replacing The Nozzels. The Steel Mill Was Dirty, Dusty, And Crappy We Ended Up Wanding The Whole Thing So I Think Maybe That Was The Cause. -
I got burned from a TGI FRIDAYS we were doing alot of maintenance work for them, worked 3 weeks and the gm only paid us for 2 weeks worth a work, I called the coorperate office and they dont want to hear crap. The sad thing is the GM called me back 3days ago and wondered how to turn on the water supply on the outside so he can c lean his awnings. I was speechless, I didnt know what to say, you cheated me and now you are looking for advice.
