My pump is 100 psi at 1.8 gpm.

I have an almost new shurflo pump (100psi at 1.6 gpm). When I first got it I just mixed the chemical and dropped the draw end in the cleaner. The pump would run til the hose was filled up then shutoff just like it is suppose to. It ran then only when I pressed the trigger jet handle to release the chemical. Worked great up until the last roof job. Now here is my problem. I do the above pump stops when line is full. I test spray all seems to be good. Now when I start spraying instead of the pump continuing to run as I spray the pump goes to off on off on even while I am still hold the spray gun trigger down. The spray spits and sputters down to nothing. Anyone have a solution or thought?

I found where the hose can be bought for .50 cents a ft. Where else but the guy who made the X-Jet himself. I hope I can post this Call 1-800-983-7467 to order. Randy, Nice-n-Clean Exterior Cleaning Ser.

I bought some more hose for the X-Jet at Home-Depot the braided clear kind. However the stuff is so stiff . Does anyone know where I could get some of the flexible hose that came with the X-Jet? Thanks, Randy

Does anyone have any knowledge about the quality and use of Krud Kutter House Wash manufactured by Supreme Chemical. Mixes at 1:19 starting out. It even says for roofs as well as many other things. I called them and asked about the roof application and was told to adjust the dilution as needed. Any responses would be appreciated.

I was in Lowe's the other day and came across some Outdoor bleach from Clorox. That was the name for it with dilution ratios for cleaning siding and other stuff. Is this new and has anybody used it. The cost was $5.97 a gal. is that to high to make it economical to use. The dilution for mildew was 1-2 or 3 gal of water. Your response would be appreciated.

What is TSP? I suppose that I will not hurt the plants and stuff. Does the pool chlorine come in powder or liquid. Thanks, Randy

What type of sole on a boot works best or what do you use?

In the case of cleaning the steep roofs I have seen several methods. The one Ryan uses with the repeling equipment and also where the solution is sprayed on and left for the rain to wash it off over a period of time. Is anybody familar with the latter and the application process. I thought I had seen where they used an x-jet for this. But how do you not put the solution under the shingles unless you change the angle of application. I would appreciate any thoughts on this. Some said to avoid the steep roofs altogether. There sure are a bunch of them here to do if possible. I have never done repeling only climbing a tree with a portable tree stand for deer hunting.

The chemical QC's to the outside of the pump where the pressure hose then plugs into it. It's an adjustable of 2-3 gpm injector. Now how does the water out of the machine at 2.6 affect the solution. I will set it at 2 gpm on the injector. What is the mix in the cotainer I am drawing from at. So as to achieve the correct ratio. Thanks for your responses

I could use some help and examples on the mix ratios for chemicals. I bought a downstream chemical injector for outside the pump. It is 2-3 gpm adjustable. The pump on the machine is a 1-7 ratio. The machine is 2.6 gpm at 2750 psi. I'm not sure how to figure say on a 1 to 10 mix on my cleaning solution. I would set the injector at 2 gpm. Proably should have bought the non-adjustable. I would appreciate some help on this.

Thanks for your response. Do you use straight bleach or dilute it down. Everybody seems to have different opinons on this. Some say the bleach will ruin the gutters and mess up the shingles over time. I just want to use something that works good. Nice-n-Clean Exterior Cleaning Service randyh56@hotmail.com Any info on chemicals and processes is appreciated. Thanks, Randy

Just curious, but everything I have read concerning roof cleaning chemicals of which there are many is that bleach is absolutely the wrong one to use. However this is the same type of application I am trying to put together on the equipment side. What size hose do you have and where can you get a wand for it. I did see where one guy cleaned roofs with pool chlorine. That was also new to me of course all of this is. I just want to get the best possible cleaner that is safe for the plants and all concerned. Any info would be appreciated. randyh56@hotmail.com Randy
