  1. So after a week or so of following the water abd tripple checking, the problem is 100% a clog is in the coil...if I bypass the coil (hot Box) run...the machine is flawless. I have tried to flush with it with water and air but have had no luck. I have not turned on the burner and do not plan to unless directed to. is there a diagram or pdf of how to take the hot box apart or get to the coil? Mine is bolted down to the skid frame on either side and attached to the burner and I am not sure if that should be the next step.

  2. So the weather is getting back to normal in North Texas and I pulled the rig out of its inside storage location for the last 3 months to get back in the game. I had emptied everything prior to storage...blew out all the hoses and lines with air ect. I did not put Anti Freeze in as it was indoors, it does get cold in the storage but not that cold. Hooked up a new battery today and it cranked right up, turned the lever to engage the water from the float tank and pulled the trigger and got no response. Shut it down, checked the screen inside the tank and it was clean. Relocated the water source to the pump and started up again, same result. It was not giving that water engaged sound when i fliped the valve open it normaley does as the system engages. I Shut it down, checked all the lines for blocks and looked at the unloader and everything looks clean, water flows....but does not flush all the way through with the motor on or off. With the motor off I engaged the water and took off all the lines one at a time and they seem to run clean. I did not get into the hot box to check the coil yet... Before I start to dismantle aI thought I should ask first. As a reminder it is a 2005 Alkota 5305 hot/cold skid with an AR belt drive pump. It ran great before storage. I thank you in advance for your time.

Any help or direction would be great.

  3. I did a job for a Realtor friend of my wife’s yesterday. Basic driveway, Sidewalk, Flagstone Entry way and retaining wall that have sat under a Live Oak Tree for the better part of 8 years. As seen in the enclosed picks they have been driving over and stepping on the little nuts that drop from the tree each year and it looks like someone let 1000 Hershey kisses melt all over the place. Needless to say, I washed it, and they did not budge. I DS a little bleach after and let it sit and I am happy with the result. Thanks to Bobby at Costal and everyone else for the practical info available on this site.

    Have a great weekend

So 1st week, no broken bones, no insurance claims, happy customers and a few hand fulls of Motrin and I am alive..work done...house wash, driveway, sidewalk, deck, pool, patio, entry way, gutters..

Investment for the week...some time, some bleach, some dawn liquid dish soap, some other chems and some gas...

  5. Thanks again for the support BOBBY and everyone else who has taken the time to help, Rand156 sounds good, the one thing McKinney is not short on is Schools and Fire Houses. When we moved here in 1998 the population may have been 40,000.00 now we are around 121,000 and on our 7th fire house if I remember right.Great place to live and work for your Nephew. And out of those 121,000 homes I will find a few dirty ones and leave them with a smile..at least that is the game plan.

For example the new HS they built is 510,000 SqFT

Real Estate & Homes for Sale - Zillow

it opened two years ago and they have had tow major additions added so who knows how big it is now...and this is 3rd HS in town

  6. In the process of preparing for my job and was going over the trailer to make sure all was in order. Took the machine over to Delco a few days ago to have the Wayne Burner fixed. After loading everything up with care, nothing banged the machine..I started it to see if the excess smoke was still present that needed to burn off as a by product of the needed repair last week. Burner runs fine, smoke is almost gone. HOWEVER...now every time I pull the trigger on the wand...with or without heat the engine (Vanguard 16HP) the motor bogs I loose almost all pressure and it sounds like it is going to die. I release the trigger and it spins back up and sounds great..Pull the trigger and the process repeats..Hold the trigger and it remains the same...

New plugs, filters in the last month on the Motor..

    Any thoughts?

Thank you in advance for your time

  7. Just to follow up, I brought my machine over to Delco/RAHSCO in Ft Worth and let Mark Play with it. He was great, found that the solenoid off the fuel pump was 220v not 120v. That explained why sometimes it worked and sometimes it did not. Changed out that and put in a new fuel Nozzle, bought a new Diesel Fuel Filter and some new Tips. MONEY well spent. Great SHOP, NICE People. I am Sure I will be back soon.

  8. That means I am new to the profession, I have spent the last few months building my trailer with the tools necessary and reading this site cover to cover to be able to do any job I come across. I want to offer the best work possible at a competitive and mutually fair price for for the service that can be referenced and built upon if asked by neighbors " how much did it cost" . He is in realty however and wants to flip the house, so my number fair or not may be cutting into his margin. So I have yet to do anything with his counter. It would be a great learning experience either way to do it for nothing just to gain some knowledge.

  9. Welcome to North Texas, were the houses are cheep and 95% of the time all BRICK. Most of the time they leave just enough left over brick to circle a tree but this house is nuts with all the brick. I bid $800. $200 for the back yard patio, retaining wall and stone steps. $400 for the house..and $200 for the ladder work..gutters, chimney's and sofits. Was told I was $300 over his highest quote. $500.00 is tempting, if I can do it in 10 hours or less that is at Least $50 an hour. Do I counter and take the job??? I explained what and how I work, the equipment I use and the steps I would take to do it right the 1st time. In my mind my price is fair...but then again my wife thinks my mind was lost many years ago..so who knows

  10. I was asked to clean a brick patio and pool skirt this morning for a customer who is flipping a house. While talking with the owner I asked about the House - Gutters and Drive/entryway. He agreed and wants a all inclusive number. The house is 90% brick as seen in the picks House Wash pictures by surfinspider - Photobucket with some stone. Mostly Grime and Mildew from tree canopy on house and gutters. Some mold on the retaining walls. Any help with pricing would be a great help to help me move forward. How do you measure a House? I have a rig capable of doing this job and it will not be a chemical heavy cost project, just labor if I am understanding everything I have read on the site over the last 2 months.

Thanks in advance for the time if you respond.

  11. Thanks for the reply's. This is what John at "Wayne" sent me back to my question..

The first thing you should do is get a tune-up kit and new nozzle for the burner. There should be a spec. # on the burner, if not EHASR should do it. You can get the nozzle size off the nozzle, it should be something like 1.25 80^ A, it will be stamp on the flats of the nozzle. These you get from a Johnstone Supply. That will take care of most of your clean up the rest is just taking a dry rag and wipping off as much as you can.

After you get it tuned-up and cleaned up open the air bands up a little, maybe 1/8" to 1/4". What is causing this is it is buring to dirty, you need more air. You should not see any smoke after the burner has lit. You should also clean off the coils as best as you can.

  12. I found a classified today for a 125 Gallon Leg Style Storage Tank with a

Hi-Flo 5275704 pump (12 volt,3.8 GPM,45 Max PSI) for $50.00 cash (held H2O Only) from a out of business Mobil Car Detail company. Not sure what to do with them yet but I will have fun figuring it out. I have enclosed a pick of my Skid Alkota 5305EB and pump new 4000PSI pump..Not sure what Brand...any ideas..could make a nice water option if needed..to big to be a Chem tank I Think,,,but I could see 50 or so Gallons of EFC-38 swishing around on a fence or parking lot if needed.

  13. It has been raining in Dallas for the last week and I am bored So I figured I would test drive my new/old system on a house I could afford fixing cheep if something went wrong. So I picked my back yard. Took the kids pool down and backed in the trailer and had a little fun. I figure I have the perfect lab to test stains with before I go out and have the "Deer In The Head Lights" gaze in front of a customer. Here are some picks... Test Drive pictures by surfinspider - Photobucket

I have access to a FREE 250 Gal water tank to add to the trailer, just need to search some threads to figure out how to plum it together. My Fence is next.

    Have a great day
