Rinse the ball bearings out with a lot of water, then spray wd 40. Then light oil. I do it when I finish using it. Takes 5 minutes. Won't stick any more. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I can't speak for anyone else but I only use casters. Yes they do require a little maint. But for me the pro's outweigh the cons. On a side note, I replace the factory casters with after market after they wear out. Don't know why but manufacturers use cheap wheels. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

We've been with them for a little over a year. Had two other agencies in this area. No service whatsoever. And that was with no claims. Made me think "what if I had a problem?" Joe Walters has been very attentive so far. At least that makes me feel more secure. A guy told me one time "If your customers are bothering you, ignore them. They'll go away!" Live Oak Acorn Stains on concrete
al9226 replied to Kbstrat's question in Residential Pressure Washing
If you're going to rinse, put a little surfactant in the sh. It holds the stain up better till you rinse...IMHO. -
Been cleaning Roofs and homes (like the roofs better) for almost 2 years now. Been using 10% from the pool suppliers in Jacksonville Fl. Is there a chem supplier in the Jacksonville area that has 12 1/2% or higher available to me in bulk that I can have loaded in my tank when I need it?

I've been cleaning for 2 1/2 yrs now. Been using a beefed up version of my house wash for concrete (mostly residential). I see that many are using oxalic acid. I would like to know how much to mix and how to apply it (Downstream?)
-
So I wash with the house wash like usual, then how do I apply the ox. Then do i rinse it or leave it sit.
-
I clean my gutters first with a brush and f13. I've found that if I miss some and it dries, my house wash mix takes it right off.

Downstreaming Question?
al9226 replied to propressurewashing's question in Residential Pressure Washing
The reels I have for downstreaming are not stainless and are both over 2yrs old. Rinse between jobs. I use a stainless/aluminum titan reel for my roof mix. I also rinse that between jobs. -
Everyone should drive what they want. What we have to do is send posts like this to the domestic manufacturers and see what business they are missing by building their vehicles elsewhere.

I have a General Pump Surface cleaner. Does anyone know if there is a wheel kit available for it and if so does it make it better? I use it for residential drives sidewalks etc.

DIYer here: Here is what I do to clean my vinyl siding. How can I do it better/faster
al9226 replied to TheNoob's topic in DIY'ers - Ask The Pro's
You're doing better than most. The term Pressure washing is a general term given to outdoor cleaning (houses etc). Actually the pros usually reserve pressure for concrete. The way we clean a house calls for specific mixes of chemicals that are down streamed (injected in the water flow after the pump) or applied with a separate pump system and then lightly rinsed. Your method is up streaming. It is not widely used by pros because of the damage that the chemicals can do to the pumps and the amount that is actually put onto the surface. With down streaming a greater amount can be applied. We can usually clean a 2000 sq ft house, gutters and drive in two hours or less. The best way for you to speed things up would be to convert to down streaming and or using a dedicated pump (pump sprayer) to apply the chemicals. -
I need a new feed hose reel for my rig. Want something that will hold 150 ft of 5/8 of course for a good price. Any recommendations?

Thanks for the link. How do you like the wheels. Does it work better? What is involved in the installation? -
Can you post or send me a photo? By the way, I lived in Ohio (Lorain) for 50 years before I moved to FLA.

I've started using yard signs on all of my jobs. I tell the Customer that I will take $25.00 off of their cleaning if I can put a sign up for two weeks. I tell them that I will personally pick them up. I do this so I can re inspect my job and make sure that they are still there. I find that I get at least one other job in each neighborhood that I put one. So far I haven't had any problems with any HOA'S. Has anyone ever had a problem with their Yard signs and HOA'S?

I just cleaned a vinyl fence. I used my house wash mix (12% and Joy down streamed). The fence is clean and bright, but does not have the shine that it did before. Any sugjestions?
-
Thanks - I'll give it a try. The fence is White Vinyl. I'ts in front of a subdivision. I have a contract with them to do it twice a year. They haven't said anything, but I'm not pleased with it. I'm going back with the wax.
