Cedar fence cleaned w/questions

What is NOAH? -
Truck for the functional aspect. Drop the trailer and zip around bidding and collecting. You can carry extra equipment or whatever you want for a special job. When not working you can haul stuff in the back like, mulch, seed, etc, And you can lay a tarp down in the bed and make a real big Beer cooler. Richard

For diesel I use the metal military type Jerry Cans with the big diesel screw in nozzle. For gasoline I use fuel jugs like what you see the motor cross racers using. I get mine from Summit Racing They drain super fast and both styles of cans have big handles so that you can chain them down to your rig in case they want to walk off on you. Richard

high pressure inline filters

They work great with no problems for me.I have one on my turbo and surfacer. About once a month I take them apart and clean them really good. Richard -
I did mine for the first time since 1999 3 months ago. As you can imagine it was dirty as all get out. I have heard to clean them every 6months to a year. I am going to do mine once a year from here on out. Richard

Roger, you calling mine a piece of crap? Just kidding. Geta911 the one Roger has is pretty neat in that it can be adjusted to straight stream which I found is helpful in just the few times I have used Rogers. Richard

I bought one from e-spec for I think 50 bucks. I dont use it all the time but when I do it works fine. I use it for blasting mud on heavy equipment. Concrete sometimes and paint prep as well. Richard

Money doesnt matter. I would take a flat bed 1ton or better yet a F-550 with tank and all mounted on top with the reels on the back. Why? because its easier to move around and drive in town than with a trailer. Then again a trailer is nice to drop off and run out and give bids and use as a daily driver and gets good gas mileage. You can also use the bed to haul stuff when you need more room. I would only get a flatbed rig if I had another pickup for giving bids and running around. Richard

Please help, need to make final decisions
R L S replied to First Impressions's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
4gpm should work alright for residentail. I have always run off my tank so I dont know about house pressure hindering you. You should look into a tank when and if you dive into commercial and industrial work. Honda engines are excellant, in my opinion honda or the Briggs Vanguard are the best you can get and wouldnt hesitate at either one. Richard -
If your acid wash didnt get it I am not sure what will. I know for leaf stains straight bleach works. Richard

Good article. Being on a Hotshot crew fighting fires all over the country we dealt with this ocassionaly and a few times had to medavac crew members via helicopter. It is very important to stay hydrated. One thing to remember is that you can be TO HYDRATED and the symtons of being overly hydrated are purt near the same as heat exhaustion symptoms. Maybe Carlos can chime in here as well on this matter. Happy washing all I know my season is in full effect and I am loving it. Richard

Whats everyones favorite house wash and house wax if you use them?
R L S replied to Crownroyal's question in Residential Pressure Washing
Do a search I am pretty sure this has been covered, Maybe more than once. I use Emulsifier Plus from e-spec Richard -
Not to be rude but if he "just goes for it" without any experiance what difference is he over Joe home owner that just bought his own pw. Theres a hell of alot more to running a legitamate washing company than just cranking up a machine and telling every one heh I'm a pro use me. We get those kinds of guys around here all the time and they really **** me off. I highly highly urge him to get training Why not you train him, Hell tell him to fly out here I'll train him. Our market is full of spalsh and dashers and granted he has insurance but with no knowlege he could really mess stuff up. Have him wash his house his folks house, stepfolks house and there driveways for free. He has to get experiance before he even thinks about charging for his work. I dont know if that any makes sense but I am getting off my soap box now. Richard

Speak of the devil. I talked bad about a company and not having stain when all of the sudden my UPS guy shows up with my stain Yippeee. Now if I get my fllet washed early enough I might be able to finish my deck job and get paid. Richard

Thats pretty dirty, Good job. I dont get ones that dirty cept every now and then. Good pics for your brochures. Richard

Hey Celeste no stain huh? I am waiting and my customers are waitng for stain from you know who as well. I could shoot the weahter guy. Been calling for rain for 2 days. Went out and tarped my homeowners deck to keep it dry and ready for stain. Well it didnt rain and the stain still aint here. So here I am with no stain to put on my customers deck when the past two days would have been great to stain it because it didnt RAIN. And the homeowners have a nice washed and stripped deck covered in plastic. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA o-well part of doing business. Richard

Last year I was going to try it but when I got to thinking about spraying water in 19 degree weather and then having to re-winterize my machine I said to hell to with it. But it sure would be neat to be the only guy with white in his yard. Even though my nearest nieghbor cant see my yard it'd still be neat. Richard
