I always run an open gun and ball valve.

My first was a 1967 ford F-100 cherry red. I rebuilt it and beefed up the 352 engine and eventually replaced the old 3 on the tree trans with a 4 on the floor. I really miss that truck!! My favorite is a toss between a 55 chevy stepside pickup in bright yellow and a 1932 ford coupe in bright yellow Hell yes I remember American Grafitti!!!

I had a situation like that as well. I use the big heavy 7000psi ball valve and the bearings inside the QC collar wore out. I grabbed the end of the hose and moved it just right sso that the ball valve shot off the hose and missed my head by an inch. It would have floored me good if it hit me. I now check those QC every week. Also I changed to a flow type unloader, that helps as well.

Jeff if you go with the 8.0 you might as well get a duramax in the truck. My friend has an 8.0 and he gets around 8-9mpg towing a big travel trailer. That sucks!!!! If I were you I would go with the 2500 it will last longer and allow you to carry heavier loads safer. And will not wear out as fast. I have a 2000 2500 with the 6.0 and I love it. I have a 6x12 trailer loaded with my gear and a 300 gal tank. On some of my accounts I throw a 275gal tote in my bed fill it up and go with out a problem. Thats 2,400#s in the bed and all the weight on the trailer. 4.10 are exellant gears for low end stuff like towing, hills, 1/4mile etc. But on the highway your milage will suffer. I personally like to run with 3.75s in the rear. Hope this helps a bit and made sense. Now I gotta get back to cleaning the house I'm getting married on Friday and the house has to look good.

When you buy the chems they should come with a MSDS sheet, if not call the supplier and get one. Make a folder and Label MSDS SHEETS and put all of the sheets in there. Now you have a MSDS Book so that when asked by DOT or whoever you are all ready to go.

36" & Larger Surface Cleaners

I reckon you can get anything custom made with enough money. If you go any bigger than 36 I'd be worried about not enough energy hitting the concrete due to the force needed to move the bars. -
Jeff, I use R-109 from delco on concrete and it works real well.

Todd, You sound like my brother, he loves and preaches to everyone about POR 15. Seems like great stuff.

Alright, in one of the threads from the past year someone posted about making there 12volt shurflo portable by using a car battery jumper deal from wal-mart. I have searched for it but to no avail. Does anyone know what I am talking about or where this thread is? Thank you very much.

I've got some downstream questions

I like the idea of the valve. When your hands are wet and the knob is really, really, hot it would be easier to just flip a little handle. In my opinion. -

I am not sure what you want to do but the 1/4" line after the ball valve will still fill up with chem and pull the same. Im set up for dual chem applications and run metering valves on both my lines and have no problem with them. -

Good tip Carlos. I always run water thru mine and soap after I run acid thru it which is very often. -

10 feet of draw hose is fine and will work with no hitches. If you put a 3/8 hose on the injector it will just get bottle necked down to 1/4 at the injector hose barb anyways, stay with the 1/4. A shut off valve would work for two things one to shut the flow off and two, you could meter the flow of chem by slightly closing it. As far as the largest orfice you can use without pulling chem I had to play with differant nozzels to find mine. You could always hook up a psi gauge at the gun and use a dual wand to figure it out by opening the wand until you hear or see it drawing chem, look at your gauge and theres your lowest pressure. Hope this is somewhat clear. -
Great machines in my opinion. I have a 1260ss with a gigillion hours on it, stills runs great. Yes they make there own pumps called Hawk. The only thing I have needed for it is the packings but General K19 packing kit is interchangable with my pump so it works out great. Yes haggle, haggle but they are worth it.

No he is not pure Bred believe it or not. I wish I knew you were getting into labs. I took an 11month old AKC registered Choc Lab from a deploying friend of mine but gave him away the next day to my vet.

Roger and I met with those guys down here. I was impressed with the product but not the price or much else. I have not done anything with them since our meeting back when. And also like you I dont even push the product anymore.

I pick and choose. Sometimes it depends on the mood I am in or how the person approaches me. If they are out of state I dont really care. There is only one company that I share a lot of info with and them with me, they are also the only company that I would trust to business for my current customers and the only company that I would refer work to.

When you buy a machine like this you have to think about local serviceing, warranty work etc. Mail order is probably th cheapest up front but the repair issues that may come up later might cost more in the long run. Trailer set up is personal preferance but If you want to expand your equipment and carry more stuff on the trailer insted of cramming it into the back of your truck buy a skid and mount it on a trailer with enough room. I have a 5x12 tandem and will be upgrading to a bigger one. My opinion on Northern Pw's is you will spend less up front but in the long run you will be paying more for repairs and service than if you bought a better quality machine from a local dealer. Hope this helps a little.
