  1. Do the water test. If water beads on the surface then there is a sealant of some kind. If it is absorbed into the wood then its just wood. Without a picture that is all I can say about it.
  2. Anyone seen this

Looks like a hand held ferule crimper. But no I have not seen or used anything like it. What is it?
  3. Chemical Burns

I was working in South Caroilina a few weeks back and got a pretty decent burn from F-18 Max I never had one from the regular F-18 but the Max burnt me good. Good thing Roger had vinegar in his rig. BE SAFE.
  4. Thats awesome. (both of 'em)
  5. Skunk problem.

I had to wash out a 53' van trailer once that had a full load of chicken thaw and go rancid it had sit about a week before they unloaded it and I washed it. I used a hign concentraction of bleach to kill the bad things and washed it out then went back in with a citrus smelling cleaner and washed it again. When I was done it didnt smell like roses but it sure smelled a whole hell of a lot better.
  6. Those tote tanks are all that I use or have used, work great for me and are very cheap if not free. I install a tank bung at the bottom to feed my washer and leave the gate valve to use as a dump. I also made an adapter so I could hook up a garden hose to the gate valve and run another portable machine off of the same tank.
  7. Anybody have any orange Mountain Dew or Pepsi caps?

  8. You can add computer chips, run dual exhaust, install a cold air intake system all these also add mileage by making your engine run more effiecent they also add power to the engine extra bonus!!. Just figure out if the up front cost is worth a few more mpg in the long run. Run 55 going down the interstate, slow stops and starts. Dont idle for a length of time. And as mentioned air pressure, rotate tires, change oil as recomended both motor and trans. Just a few that came to mind.
  9. Thought this might be fun for all...

    Thanks Adrian.
  13. What if.....

I would still be chasing fires across the country on my old Hotshot crew working for the forest service and trying to get into Rookie Smokejumping School. I am glad my life didnt go that way even though it was a long dream of mine to Jump fires. I would have never had met my fiancee and I would never had the chance to branch out on my own. Its funny how in life you have goals and aspirations and you excell in the career your in.Then all of a sudden the lord above steps in and says, I dont think so and you go zooming down the road he wants you on. And I have no complaints of being on my current road.
  14. New Addition to the NFPW Family!

  15. Chemicals

I buy bleach in liquid as well as my fleet wash acids and a few soaps. I also buy soaps in powder that are shipped in. Just depends.
  16. Same old song

I really have a distast for Rev. Jesse Jackson I have seen no good come from the words that flow from his mouth. As far as I am concerned he speaks up to raise frustrations into anger and always plays the race card no matter what the situation. People say that it is mostly poor blacks that are trapped and need help. Well what was the majority of New Orleans black. People dont understand what it takes to mobilize enough troops and supplies to take care of a horrible disaster such as this. It does take valuble time but it will come. If the town had a majority of white folk in it, it would still take valuble time to deliver the resources needed to help the needy. This is just my view point. It was not intended to start anything. Beth if you feel like removing it for any reason go right ahead.
  17. Hi All... New Here...

Hey Trent welcome aboard. As far as a washer goes dont go below 4gpm and as for psi I have never wanted more pressure than my 3000psi hot water machine puts out. GPM does most of the work. But thats just my 2cents.

Alright heres a question for ya. Whenever I clean my house I always go out to the trailer to get my chems, I usaully use Glory for most cleaning I have even two stepped my shower stall before. But now I have a clogged drain and I have heard somewhere that someone used a widely known washing chem to unclog thier drain. Does anyone know what will work? Just wondering. Thanks

  23. I like it alot. Very thought out system.
  24. Which to buy, X-JET or M-JET Nozzle???

Wear and tear on my equipment has been very little. I downstream my house wash, HF acid, NMD80 (brick wash acid) Truck soap, you name it. I have not had to replace anything cept the downstreamer once. My hoses guns and qc are hloding up very nice.
  25. Which to buy, X-JET or M-JET Nozzle???

I use my downstreamer on the dirtiest, mildew infested houses around and I never have a problem getting it off. I downstream my chems onto concrete with great results. I also wash all my fleets and heavy equipment with great results downstreaming. It comes down to personal prefrence, use what works for you. But I am sticking to my downstreamer.
