  1. Lets increase the ratio shall we. I would go for the belt drive. It lasts longer and more reliable. Granted the one your looking at has a warranty but think of the down time you will have when you need to get it fixed. Buying a washer from a place like Northern Tool they may have to send it somewhere to get fixed which means you wait and cant make money. I have a direct drive cold washer for back up only and use my belt drive hotwater everyday.

  2. Heres a neat trick to make your pump-up sprayer a high volume pumping machine.

Undo the collar holding the 3/8 hose onto the threaded nipple at the top of the tank.

Take the collar off the hose and set the collar aside

Pull out the puny little pickup tube that runs from the afore mentioned nipple to the bottom of the tank.

Slide the collar onto a 10' piece of 3/8 braided ply chem hose

Cut the end of the hose at a slight angle (the hose end that goes to the bottom of the tank)

Use soap to lube the hose up and push it into the tank through the threaded hole at the top. Push it in until it hits the bottom.

Slide the collar down the hose and tighten it real tight.

Now the wand is what many of you use for your shur-flos.

Here is list of parts in order of assembly

3/8" hose barb with 1/2 male threads

1/2" ball valve (schedule 80) with female threaded ends

24" long schedule 80 riser in 1/2" with male threads on both ends.

    1/2" female threaded 45deg elbow

    1/2" to 1/4" reducer (1/2" male and 1/4" female)

Insert your 1/4" nozzle of choice and walla,

Of course use teflon tape on all assemblies.

I got all my parts at Lowes for around $13

    Good Luck

  3. Thats pretty ridiculous, the price and story. Some people are out there and some are way out there. Then again some might just be able to pull a story like that off and reap the rewards, are they out there or smarter than me?

  4. Ok This is how I think it works. Please correct me if'n I am wrong. You hook up your adjustable down stream injector which uses the venturi effect to suck up chems and adjust as nesecary this much I know but,

Do you put the Metering Valve in between the chem filter and your down stream injector to fine tune the ratio because just the injector itself isnt that accurate or,

Do you use the down stream injector OR the metering valve by itself because the metering valve creates the venturi effect as well?

  5. I use a Craftsman 19.2 voltEX cordless drill it is awesome. It came with a 1hour charger which is nice also. When I bought mine I paid $12 for a two year warranty that covers everything including the batteries. If I drop it,run it over or hit with a hammer I get a new one.

  6. If I remember right limonene is one of the major ingrediants of Eaco chems soap Glory which I believe is the best brushless soap you can buy. It also works great on houses and on gutters. www.cleanertimes.com has an article 10 pages long on limonone. It works great for me but then again there is more than one way to barbecue an elaphant.

  7. Flimmy,

I would go with the 3500# axles. Also if that trailer is a single axle I would recommend going with a double axle. My trailer is 6x12 tandem axle with 3500# axles it is open also. I prefer open for ease of setup, working on things and to show off my equipment=). I park mine in my garage at night.

Anyhow tandem axles with 3500# axles is the way I would go. Water wieghs around 8# a gallon a 275gal tank weighs 2200pounds(granted you wont be full all the time), add that to your skid unit, fuel tanks, chems, toolbox full to the brink with stuff and the pounds add up real quick. Hope this helps a bit.
