    The more gpm the faster you work. I use a hotwater 4.5gpm machine and have a cold water for a backup.Do you have an extension wand for houses or just the wand that came with the washer. Applying your chems via down stream injector or x-jet will greatly enhance your speed.

    As Ryan said you are way way low on decks. I charge 5 to 10 cents to wash concrete. Washing decks and concrete are nothing alike. As far as hourly charge I do most of my work by the sqft. If I told a homeowner that I would wash thier house for $75 an hour I'd get laughed at, if I told them I would wash their house for $250 flat fee they would be much more open to the idea. Alot of pricing is due to percieved value I have washed homes in one subdivsion for $250 and in other subdivisons I could get $400 for the same house, differant area and percieved value is greater. Image is a real good selling point also, look and act like a professional with professional equipment and you can charge professional prices. That is as long as you can deliver professional

    results.

    Hot water is all I use for gum removal. I carry chems that suit the job. If I am washing a house I have my house wash mix, my gutter scrub, I also bring oxalic or HF acid with me for those rust stains or when the orange weeps out from under the siding. If I am washing concrete and drive thrus I carry a degreaser, Oxalic or HF acid and job depending bleach. If I am washing heavy equipment I carry lots and lots of degreaser.

    I use mine for:

    Cleaning oil stains on concrete

    Blasting mud from heavy equipment under carriages and tracks

    Stripping paint in paint prep work

    Washing oil off heavy equipment, not to close though.

    Washing red clay stains from concrete.

    Blasting concrete splatter from aluminum sided warehouse. Did a great job and didnt hurt the paint.

    I guess I use mine quite a bit. But Its your call, to each his own. I got mine from E-Spec for like $40 and it works great and has held up niceley.

    I would feel fine if he was responsible and safe with them. All gun owners feel the effects of stricter laws.

    Stricter laws might mean more classes to attend if you want to buy another gun ,which means more time out of my busy day and higher taxes somewhere to pay for the instructor unless its money right out of my pocket, Negative Effect, YES.

    Stricter laws might mean that perhaps I can have only a certain number of firearms. I have a number of firearms and will continue to build my collection for my pleasure and to pass them down to my sons and daughters Negative Effect on me YES.

    Stricter laws would mean and they tried this one. Put shelf lifes on primers that one would use for reloading his own ammuntoin and make getting reloading components very difficult. I am an avid reloader, grew up that way and will remain that way. Negative Effect, Yes.

    The list could go on.

    People dont understand Stricter gun laws only affect the law abiding citizens of this country. They are the ones who obey the law, criminals dont.

    GUNS ARE MADE TO KILL-

    What about the very expensive, heavy, extremly accurate target rifles, they were MADE for target shooting, a very popular past time and olympic event. What about competition shooting on ranges where the weapons you use are MADE and customized for your particular event. I knew this thread would get good.

    I have a mileage book inside my truck that I record my mileage on for end of the year tax stuff. I also use that book to tell me when to change my fluids, grease my zirks and all that good stuff. I keep track of that in another little book I keep in my glove box. In that I note the mileage, date and what was done.

    I run Mobil 1 synthectic in my engine and change oil every 6,000 miles.

    I added a super heavy duty B&M auxillary transmission oil cooler and filter to add in prolonging my trannys life.

    Change the trans fluid and filter every 12,000 miles.

    Grease the zirks over the entire suspension every 24,000 miles.

    Every 50,000 miles I change the brake fluid and bleed the brakes.

    Every 12,000miles I rotate the tires

    That is all I can think of off the top of my head right now.

    I also Check all fluids when I fill up for gas.

    I am an avid hunter, shooter and own many firearms. I grew up around firearms and my father showed me and my family the safe, proper and responsible way to handle and shoot firearms. Guns dont kill, people kill, they squeze the trigger. I am a proud firearms owner with the utmost respect for them. If you ban guns, owners like Jon and myself, law abiding ctizens, wont have them becasue its the law, But I gurantee crimanals will still have them and get them and use them.

    When eating on the go its Sonic they are everywhere. When I am on the west coast its an In and Out. Krispy Kreme doughnuts once a month for me because I get all the doughnuts and coffe I want free when I clean them.

    Any So-Cal boys heard of THE HAT they have the best pastrami sandwhices in the world!!! Wow I am hungry now.

    Sounds like sabotage to me Alan. If your tank is like mine (on a hotsy) which it probably is then there is no way water can get in except someone pouring it in the fill cap or the far out scenario of them pouring it in the fuel pick up line on top of the tank which is just about inacessible.

    Take a black permanent marker and put a tic mark on your cap and your tank that line up when tightened. That way if someone does mess with your stuff they wont know to align the tics and you'll know mischief is about.

    Since you are very new to the industry with no chemical knowledge(I assume). It would be wise to buy your chems from a reputable dealer than to risk injury to yourself or others. Besides good chems dont mean they are expensive, shop around there are excellant chems availible at very resonable prices.
