  1. Fully agree on dont start to high. Most of the guys I hire I used to start out paying above average. Within a month or so they were useless bums and fired as the result because when I would correct them and ride them a bit they would always say I was to hard and to cut them a break, well I just cut them loose.

  2. The best one I made (that I remember) looked kinda like a cheese wedge. If you do this design or any design with a real thin nose watch your weight placment as to much weight in the back will cause the nose to lift up going down the track and flip. Dont forget graphite powder on the axles. When you put the weights on we used to melt fishing sinker lead and pour it into a carved out hollow in the car bottom, it stayed put as opposed to the sticky weights they come with, which fall off.

If I remember any more I'll post.

    GOOD LUCK!!!

  3. Home based here. I have a seperate 2 car garage where I put the chems, parts, trailer etc. Right now my office is in the living room, or my truck. We are buying a new house and I will have my OWN office HOORRAYY.

If you have the acrerage look into building a pole barn. You can make them any size you want. After our funds are back up from the new house (which will take a while) were putting up a pole barn. Check out DIY Pole Barns & Supplies - Supplying America's Do-It-Yourselfers pretty cool site.
