The reason that I asked, is that I discovered that they have a online certification like Wolmans.
So, I figured "What the heck?" Having another certification would not hurt.

How many of you use PENOFIN stain ?
Like it, dislike it ?
Can you use it on P/T Pine ?
-
Rick,
Thanks for explaining, I always learn a lot from your posts.
-
Rick,
How did you apply the ready seal ?
Brush or spray ?

Anyone in Pa, Maryland, NJ or anywhere else within driving distance of central Pa. interested in letting me tag alone with them for a few days this summer ?
-
Thanks guys,
I think Rick's laundry analogy will be the best way to tell the tenants about the water usage.
Dave,

I own a small single story ranch rental house, I plan on washing the vinyl siding this summer.
The tenants pay for the water, how much water should I expect to use ?

My full time job as a pest control tech, I have to have m.s.d.s sheets available to any customer that might ask for them.
They have the legal right to know.

This may be dumb questions, but why do they care if there is light mold on the pallets ?
What are they using them for?
What would you charge to clean pallets?

Adrian,
Maybe you should take this time to invent / design another tool for deck restoration. The Breeze brush is a really cool idea.
By the way, I just had my 5th eye surgery last week. ( all aftermath from lasik )
But, my surgeries are nothing compared to yours.
Take care of your self.

Adrian,
That is a very sweet looking fence.
I'm sure you addressed both of questions before but I'm going to ask anyway,
Please explain the picture under your name, is it a chemical burn ?
The next question is, what is your connection with the Breezebrush ?
If you talked about these things before, I'm sorry, but I could not find them.

Looks like a perfect spot to sit and play that banjo.

I too have done a lot of painting in my time, both interior and exterior.
Prep is 90% of the job, and yes, the surface does need to be clean, but I believe he was asking about pressure washing as a way to remove the paint not clean it.
With a p/w you will do more damage than good and force water into the grain of the wood and behind the siding.
So, if the siding is not 100% dry before you apply the paint it will soon fail.
The best way to remove old paint is to scrap then sand to feather out the edges
-
I know this is a pressure washing forum, but I would stay away from a pressure washer to remove paint from your exterior siding. I would be willing to bet that a pro house painter will tell you the same thing.
MHO.

My 1st house has asbestos shingles, I was told as long as I do not sand them, it is fine to wash and paint.
If there is a coating of paint on them you are good to go, but be careful not to blow them off of the house.

Mike,
I can not answer your questions because I am new myself, but I think it would be worth taking some vacation time this spring and doing some labor for learning. Even if you have to fly someplace to do so

Hey Russ, It's 2010, get over it !

I know this is a very old thread, but I was just wondering how the Oxford Brown held up ?
