  1. should i buy the x-jet????????

ps the m5 is a great tool, i use chemicals much stronger than most which might be contributing to the premature wear. i would reccomend this tool for everyone.
  2. Hose in the House

i can understand your cautiousness, for the first time in my carreer last month i suffered a $1100 liability charge for something i still dont know how i was held liable for. this has definately made me more cautious about future projects.
  3. should i buy the x-jet????????

i have had my new M5 x jet for 2 weeks and the acid has allready eaten the adjustable nozzle up so bad it wont adjust any more:goodgrief
  4. Hose in the House

Alan, put the high pressure hose inside the 2 inch vacuum line on your trailer and run it through the house, the vacuum line should be clean and if the hose bursts no water will get inside the house. it never hurts to lay out some drop cloths from the front door to the patio as well.
  5. should i buy the x-jet????????

what is the TJ300? i assume it is a joke. i assume you made your money in investments and are just playing around to keep your mind working. it would be nice to have a testarossa.
  6. should i buy the x-jet????????

Wayne please give me an idea how i can get a ferrarri on a flight reservation and pressure washing salary? which model do you have?
  7. should i buy the x-jet????????

what i can see to be faster than an dual hose reel type injector is 2 pumps 2 men one man applying chems other rinsing,we used this method and washed a $250 house in thirty minutes with me and a $15 dollar an hour guy, this job costed me $20 at most netted a $230 profit in 30 minutes.
  8. should i buy the x-jet????????

dual hose reels can be purchased from Hannay reel company,if i were to use this setup it would be with an AG sprayer tank setup with its own pump and motor not a shurflo, also i cannot see the time efficiency over an x jet type setup. how much is the time actually mixing chems and hooking up to the x jet worth that yousave the weight of the hose added expense of the reels and time spent managing the monstrosity? you still have to unhook from the device you use to apply chemicals and hook up to the extension wand.... also the chemicals we use for housewash and concrete cleaning and brick washing will destroy the reel hose and the device pumping it very shortly,i dont see any savings or benefit....... yes it is a good gimmick for those who spend most of there time dreaming of ways to make things more complicated but for the realist i cant picture it working better than an x jet type of injector. please prove it is faster and more economical than an x jet type injector thats what i want to see.
  9. Well, wadda ya think? ;)

i love the new modern look. really like it good job i know its a lot of work.
  10. my simpson injector would pull at 2 to 1 with a 6 gpm machine, the xject is 2.5 to 1 with the same machine with no proportioner
  11. i recieved the new m5 xjet the other day and i am very happy with it (the adjustable fan nozzle is a lifesaver) i have been using the v-jet (ex-simpson) injector for four years until simpson stopped making them, which coincedently just reached distributors shelves the other day,i was paying $90 for the one you referr to as v jet i would like to know where you found them for $40?
  12. i have a complete machine shop onsite,i could make my own if i had ever seen one of these tanks in person,i just dont know things like what kind of filter do i use? where do i put it? how and where do i incorporate a relief valve? as you can see i dont have a clue about this stuff but i am quickly learning. thanks for all your insight.
  13. i just took delivery of the blower yesterday,it is huge 250 pounds and i think it might have a 5 inch opening for intake and exhaust. i have seen an all american carpet cleaning setup and all they did was route the blower exhaust through the floor of a van with rigid electrical conduit,it didnt sound that loud to me but it was a small blower, using a 16 hp engine. i need a recovery tank asap. where do i look to find a deal?
  14. Look out I am thinking again!

i think its 5MVP horizontal shaft,i have been working on the specs from a site called velocity air components. i just looked over my records and the 418 -792 cfm was a 5L model from 2-6 psi. 5MVP seems to be a little less cfm,but it will move heavier solids.
  15. wow i had no idea the blower run at that high of temp, what is the running temp of the engine powering it? maybe the heat transferr from the blower to the motor might be the negative factor. where do you purchase mufflers for blowers?
  16. Look out I am thinking again!

KYLE, i am curious about the direct drive also, all of the truckmounts that i have looked at were running dual belt drivetrains. we have also been taught belt driven accessories lat longer than direct drive because of heat transfer and rpm differences. i thank you for any advice you have but i am wondering why the manufacturers site and sales rep informed me this blower will pull 700 cfm,im sure its just an exxageration of HG numbers, nonetheless i am sure 400 cfm is better than a shop vac anyday.
  17. Look out I am thinking again!

i purchased a sutorbuilt 5MVL positive displacement blower from a guy off Ebay (retail $2,000 i paid $450 to my door)brand new unit in box 255 pounds,i am going to attach it to a 25 horse Kohler engine via belt drive,i am purchasing a recovery tank and hose reels from the carpet cleaning side of the industry. this blower pulls 700 cfm vaccum which is enough to recover massive amounts of water and can handle 2 wands @ 300 feet lenghts of 1 1/2 vaccum hose. i dont presently need to recover any of my water, this is for my other company but it could come in handy someday.
  18. Scorched Concrete

if acid doesnt work, try a sandblaster attachment.
  19. Look out I am thinking again!

please elaborate,i am looking into water extraction and could use some hints on shortcutting expenses.
  20. Daily Motivation

thank you for the uplifting motivation.
  21. Reign In Your Receivables.

Thank you Paul for all your wisdom on this and other topics,we choose to weed out the slow payers than settle for the interest which is meanial. if a payer is slow, they will always be slow, its not worth 8 percent a month to carry there balance.
  22. Reign In Your Receivables.

I have read this article before and it is very valuable. one of the things that is so sad is the fact that so many vendors are in competition of business that ACCOUNTS can have ther way with terms, there are tons of accounts out there who pay within 7 days and on time every time, all of the accounts that i have dealt with on 30 day terms usually take 45 days to pay. it is now our policy to suspend service to accounts who have 3 late payments on 30 day terms. if you get involved in this cycle of chasing collections it can be viscious, and detrimental to your companies financial health.
  23. Monster Garage!!!!!

Hmmm the closest i can come to that would be a wood stretcher, let me know i have them in stock.
  24. Monster Garage!!!!!

Jon,if i was into washing cars i would try to make it,it would be real easy to make given the fabrication machinery i have. we have guys here who set up shop in a parking lot at main streets and wash cars for spare change on the weekend,i would like to set up along side them one weekend just to raise the bar a little bit. Paul, could you ask for something a little more difficult? lol
  25. Monster Garage!!!!!

Jon,you are reffering to a Vader, this design is completley different from it. i was kidding about the patent.
