I think we need to go to other fuel sources... Stop the oil demand.. Give our farmers a chance to grow our fuel and It should be cheaper for us because its in our back yard... not 5000 miles away. NOt only that but it would help the the agriculture market increase and help pull the farming market out of the hole. 40% of our oil suppy goes right to our military the other 60% is broken down into the US storage and finally us the consumers.. OIL sucks LOL.

Think about this...the other fuel e85 comes in at 2.35 a gallon. The oil companies said they would drop their prices to compete with them, problem is that there are so few other stations offering it they cant compete yet…But this is even worse, oil companies are so powerful that they dictate the price of e85 by that I mean they have said if alternative fuel ever wanted to go toe to toe with them they would drop there prices so low that they will put other alternative fuels out of business.. they also said they could do it for years till they do go bankrupt. So that means we will still be paying much more than we should… Did you all know Africa make e85 out of sugarcane and can manufacture it and deliver it for pennies on the dollar, but you know what happens when it comes to our boarders, It gets taxed ten fold to export it here. We make e85 out of corn they make it out of sugar…Neat little facts I hope I was correct if I was wrong I will stand corrected. D

Goof off will dry the oils in the vinyl. In most cases it works best to remove stains but it does leave cleaning marks behind. Make sure you don't use swirling motions or you will see it when you look down the side of the building... Hd-80 and make sure you don't let it dry, and neutralize it…………….. Good luck D

Search for headstone cleaning or cemetery work. A lot of Cemetery's do not want to see you using chems because of the grass. But I've seen where they do ask you to use light chems to clean concrete, or marble mausoleums. We've used dry ice pellets, and a blasting machine to do ornamental pieces and water for plain headstones. You don’t want to use high pressure if they’re really old and stay away from things that kill vegetation, Cemeteries stones have to last a many lifetimes so if you deteriorate the stone’s quicker than say just using water your really hurting more than helping in most cases. Arlington National Cemetery just went for $.60 a stone at over 200,000 stones. That does help but at least you get an idea, and no I didn’t get this contract. I was at .60 also for the first year, but I raised my prises 2 cents every years for five years and the other company didn’t. I don’t usually start a thread like this but I thought I should cause it bothered me. I guess what I meant is later in the subject they refer to folks with these types of problems as mentally handicapped why couldn't they just carry this through out the article. (Or people with disabilities). I have a few close friends with handicaps (received by accidents and so forth) and when I hear people walk by and say he’s retarded Ya I have a little problem with it. I'm not saying the article wasn't positive, I (personal feelings) think it was a good article just the phrase should have been left out. Maybe because this personally affects me I see a problem. If its not your problem most people don’t care but I bet if you were "retarded" you wouldn't love it when I called you retarded. Anyone reading the Cleaner Times Mag read page 36 Giving Purpose? There was a statement, Quote, "In Bakersfield, CA a trucker and a pressure washer distributor got together to help retarded citizens develope a sense of purpose in their daily lives." Anyone see anything weird that was written in that statement? I do, I could see maybe using a less offensive word or phrase to describe folks with mental handicaps. Thanks Ken for the reply. It is 2,480 linear feet and some of it goes from 6 foot high to 7 ft high He would like both sides cleaned. It is gray, has no previous stain, but it is in pretty good condition, seems maybe 5 years old. The outside of this fence is the real nightmare it is hard to access and is overgrown, I will tell the pm that they need to do more than bush hog the area they need to cut all the wild trees growing next to the fence, Its like a jungle. LOL My fist though on price was around 4,000 but I thought it seemed high, now that I took a look at the property it might have to go up another grand. I think if I dont get any other ideas I'm going to go higher mayber .18- .24sqft. Anyone that has any other idea on what a ball park price might be? Thanks Dan

I have a pm looking for a price to just clean a 2480 ft fence on both sides. They are bush hogging the area on both sides so I can have access. I will have a hydrant meter supplied to me so I have no water costs. I will be using my rig and a 300-gallon tank to do this job. Two to three guys. One spraying cleaning chems and one washing. I was wondering what type of ballpark figure would I be look at? Any help would be appreciated. If there’s more info needed I will re post. I have to go this morning to finish my 16-condo unit with the same pm company. They already have there in house guys re staining with CWF ugh I tried. Thanks for any ideas. Dan

I don’t think buying $135.00 gallon stain for a coffee table makes you great at your job or even more educated in your profession; buying a Rolex doesn’t make me rich and smart I don’t see how buying expensive stain can make you a better woody. What I meant was don’t lower your price just to get work keep yourself up high and try for an outstanding quality job. Make sure you leave them thinking damn I don’t think I’ve seen anyone work that hard and produce such great quality. I’ve found most people in many professions think I can do x amount of jobs for this price but I have to do xxxxx amount of jobs to stay afloat. I say do x amount of jobs but charge xxxxxx amount for that work, but you better have the quality to back up the price hence (knowledge is money.) See if someone would take you up for a labor for learning deal, and gain some knowledge to better help your cause. Look into a round table meeting. Can some one from up north maybe be willing to help Dan out? After you have learned more about pw profession you will need to educate yourself on sales. It’s worth the time. I think a deck of that size would be about 1500-2500 without seeing it; it’s hard to give a price. You need to charge more to do that type of work. Educate your customer and they will understand why it costs so much. Whenever I receive a deck lead I get excited to talk to the owners, I love educating them about decks so they understand what it takes to do the job correctly. I feel if even I give them enough info so they can make an educated decision I have accomplished something. When the other guy that give his loooww price and has no knowledge about the process or just does a splash and dash, I know I will be hearing from the owners. I tell the owners if I was first to talk to them to ask certain ?’s to the other contractors so they know what to ask. I think most people will feel good if you do that; it makes them feel like they know what they need to ask for them to make the right decision on whom to use.
