  2. Full Time Now!

I Am Now Full Time. Everyone Keep Me And The Family In Your Prayers. I Had All I Could Take With Regular Job, With Hours, Pay And Time Away From Home. Now If I Have The Hours And Time Away From Home I Will At Least Have That Fat Check To Go With It. First Day Full Time I Wrote $3500 In Business. Bidding Some Other Large Projects Also.
  3. Full Time Now!

    thanks guys.
  4. Full Time Now!

still busy, decided to take off at least 1 day a week. currentyl trying to catch up. have jobs booked into february, and more on the way. hope the other newly full timers are doing well
  5. i cary 5-6 100" lengths and use them until they blow. when they blow i repair them only once, second time they are in the garbage. for the cheap price of a hose its not worth having to pull off a job because you have a worn out hose blow again i don't see the need for 4500 psi hose if you are not exceding that psi. it is just more weight to carry around. i also use s.s. plugs and couplers. they normally outlast the hoses. I am currently using goodyear neptune single wire 4000 psi. i have considered dropping to a lower psi hose because it would be lighter.
  6. English/Spanish

ron the car tv & dvd would probably come from china, leaving only housing coming from the U.S. which it would probably be built with immigrant labor and imported material?
  7. Oil change

    just enough.
  8. English/Spanish

here is what is f&(*) up. this is why I think spanish speakers should learn english. if you don't know already i spray alot of acid. its messed up when i have to take a label off of a pail and hand to these guys on a job so they don't decide to wash there hands with it or walk under it as I am spraying. Safety factor here. it would also be messed up if they got it in there eye and then went to the dr. and could not tell them what was in their eye because they don't speak english. i am not worried about the immigrants pricing because what i have found is that the good ones are charging the same as americans.
  9. Oil change

    i have used mobile 1 synthetic 5w-30
  10. Question about equipment

jarrod what are you washing with 8gpm.
  11. BIG Ipe project

yeah, christian helped be out on a job for some learning experience. i just wished i could afford to have him as a full time employee.
  12. Stainless Steel

i have polished an aluminum wheel one time just to see if i could do it. i got an old aluminum truck wheel from a co. that i used to truck wash for. sanded it first with 120 grit and then used the polish that i am having a brain fart about. you can see it in truck stops it is in a bar form colored different for different grits, i think there is red, white and maybe green.
  13. Stainless Steel

check out this link http://www.blackfireusa.com/metalpolish.html also do a search for metal polishing.
  14. Stainless Steel

i used to know a guy that did stainless furniture, etc and he used some time of acid to clean up after welding. he would use a battery charger and attached one terminal to the metal and the other to a rod. he would wrap a rag around the rod and dip it in the acid and then wipe it on and it would take off the stain.
  15. Stainless Steel

try aluminum brightener on the aluminum. you could also polish it with the same polish you polish truck wheels and tanks with(having a brain fart right now on the name of the polish)
  16. Stainless Steel

    is it stainless or aluminum?
  17. cement splatter

if that is fresh concrete you can remove it with the above methods. just don't use a wire brush on anything nylon or tampico.
  18. cement splatter

it looks horrible, i do these types of overlays and that is just being slack. 10 buck worth of plastic and you would not have had any problems other than their painting skills. my guess is this one will be coming back up shortly. wait for a couple freeze thaw cycles this winter and it may be ready for more work.
  19. cement splatter

it is kinda of funny i think. for once an attorney is the one getting the shaft. take a block and rubb all of the splashes until they are smooth and use acid to clean up what is left. i would use straight acid and scrub with a brush. prewet the brick before doing this and rinse thoroughly. i will come up there and fix it for a small fee, $200 hour i think that is about going attorney rate. call me if you get a chance it can be fixed. on this one i would charge hourly though.
  20. What did you do before becoming a Pw'er?

mowed lawns until i was 16 worked at a shoe store and restraunt from 16-18 went to community college transferred to 4yr bars, restraunts worked for american express credit card company, learned alot about sales and psychology of sales while with them. left them and sold insurance, then sold electronics, then to construction supplies(7years) left in July and have not looked back since.
  21. What Gun do you use?

sutner i think (2606) e-z pull. no problems with wrist. sometimes my bicepts hurt from holding gun for 8 hours. i have same pump spec's. i also have a high pressure swivel between hose and gun, this helps keep hose from twisting and putting extra strain on wrist.
  22. I reorganized my truck

jarrod yours setup looks clean compared to mine. i work on a lot of construction sites and everything stays filthy. the truck, trailer all of it. but it still brings home the bacon, this month it was caviar. the way you machine looks you can tell that you do a lot of work.
  23. Clogged tank ??

if you had a hot maching you could turn it into a hot tub.
  24. Good glove store?

i have some cheap rubber ones from agri supply that are thin, i then get the white cotton gloves(cheap also) as liners. however, normally i just tuff it out, when my hands get cold i put them in my pockets. i hate wearing them.
  25. Use of WD-40
