  1. Dual lance or Not?

OTP your a gem. Thyanks so much for the information. I will check this out. Wallydog.
  2. Dual lance or Not?

Thanks OTP. With a dual lance do I need to buy a adjustable injector and fit it at the top of the lance and then attach the hose from there? Or does the setup do that with the twist of the handle. Can you buy a dual lance with the clip fittings at the bottom for changing nozzles or are they the screw in type? Do you have a recommendation of the parts i should consider? I was looking at Northern Tool Co as they have some good accessories and i have boiught a few things there and they arrive in good condition to Australia.
  3. Hello everyone. Just been reading about the brochures etc. Can anyone email me an example of a flyer and or brochure ? I am into domestic cleaning ie, BBQ areas, driveways, walkways, patios and decks etc. Would really appreciate it. I would like to put something together for the local real estate agents to show what services i offer. My setup is small but effective ie, Coleman 3200psi unit, 3.5gpm and a separate Hot Water Heater. I have the normal nozzles and a turbo nozzle for manic episodes. greenes@actewagl.net.au thanks Wallydog (Australia).
  4. Gday everyone. I have a cold water pressure washer 3200psi / 3gpm, and wonder if I need a x-jet? I will be getting a hot water heater soon! What is the major use for xjets? Can you do concrete and paving areas with an x-jet or is the conventional wand still a better way to go? Wallydog
  5. ok, I have the 4 nozzles supplied with the coleman washer unit. Do I need a turbo nozzle? Is it something that is a must have? Where can I buy a good turbo nozzle? Wallydog
  6. I want to purchase a hot box. Looks like I'll have to buy one from the US. Can you please recommend where the best places to look are? thanks in advance. I think 115V / 15Amps outlet will be a problem down here but it looks as though some models do 12V / 20amps which would be achievable with a voltage regulator or a hefty car battery charger. Anyway, which companies do you think are the best to look at to get a hot box. Wallydog

  8. Turbo Nozzles

I bought a turbo nozzle from northern tools. cheers wallydog
  9. Anyone know where I can get a hot Box in Australia? I still don't quite understand how they work? I see they are diesel fired and have 115V cord as well? How do you heat the water? Is it by plugging into the power socket and heating an element?, or do you use burning diesel to heat the water? Do they heat the water after the pump? Over here we have 240V . Can I convert an imported hot box? thanks wallydog
  10. Hot Box

Thanks Alan. I was thinking of making my own hot box with a domestic instantaneous propane gas hot water system. Is it possible to heat the water before sending it to the pump? Is that an option? Or is it a must to have the water heated after the pump? Will it damage the pump having hot water go through it before it is released out the wand? I was thinking of getting a Rinnai eco 16 hot water system. Thats around 16L/min output. Have an LPG bottle and i guess i will need to plug in the power to ignite the burners when the water is going through. This would work but its whether the pump can handle the hot water? I sent a msg to Bart and well see what comes of it. I really like the idea of using a domestic propane gas water heater but? Wallydog
  11. Gday everyone. I have the cold water pressure washer setup but I need some advice on whether I need a hot box now or can I get away with it for a while? I have a drive through rest that has expressed interest in having the back dock cleaned and in and around the seating outside the rest need a good cleaning. can I do a good job of this with a cold water setup and chems or should I get a hot box for that sought of work. thanks Wallydog
  12. What Chems to use?

I'm just starting out and are seeking info on what chems I should carry with me. I will be cleaning concrete, patios, pavers, and outdoor food eating areas. Chewing gum is going to be a problem as I don't have a hot water unit. Im a little confused in that I understand you apply chems and then wash them off. Right!? Is their times you use chems all the time while pressure washing some areas? I have a coleman 8hp, 3200psi, 3-4gpm rating. thanks Wallydog
  13. Welcome New Members! ..Introduce yourself

Hello all. Im from the A.C.T., in Australia and are dabbling in pressure washing. We have water restrictions here but its not too bad at the moment. I just bought a cold water unit and will use that for a couple of years. I hope to get a hot water hot box at a later time. I am new to it all and are seeking knowledge on just about everything. Found this site friendly and helpful, thanks to everyone. Wallydog..........my dogs name is Wally.
  14. Turbo Nozzles

Thanks to all who contributed. One of you guys recognised the ACT, Australian Capital Territory. Yes its the capital of Australia but not much bigger than a country town. Have searched around and most people here don't know what a turbo nozzle is. thanks again Wallydog.
  15. i have a Coleman 3200psi, 8HP 3.0GPM pressure washer. I'm just starting out. When you apply chems/detergents do you apply them first with the black nozzle and then wait 10 mins or so and proceed to pressure wash? Or do you leave the chem mixture going all the time while pressure washing and then wash and rinse when you feel you have completed the wash? Wallydog
