Removing Deck Stain from jeans/shirts
Scott Paul posted a question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
Has anyone ever had any luck getting deck stain out of jeans/shirts. I am not talking stuff that you would normally wear while staining but jeans/shirts that might have accidentaly got some on. -
Removing Deck Stain from jeans/shirts
Scott Paul replied to Scott Paul's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
I would but they were $100+. She got tired of me wearing Old navy jeans so she bought me one nice pair and made me promise never to wear them at work. They lasted about 2 months. -

LOL. My wife bought me a pair of jeans for my Bday and she made me promise not to get stain on them. Of course I did and I am trying to fix it before she kills me. -
Stripping Penofin??? Not coming off...
Scott Paul replied to fireandrain's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
Penofin is easily removed with the proper stripper. It should come off with the HD80 or our Powersolve Dsing stripper. -
I should be an 8! :)

Scott Paul replied to fireandrain's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
Honestly spraying sealer at 20' feet sounds like a huge mess and a bad idea -

Scott Paul replied to plainpainter's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
email from Russell on April 11th: ------- Scott Your order is scheduled to be completed on the 17th and shipped out on the 18th. I can add the other 30 pails to that and ship them out with your order or we can ship them direct to your customer from here. Though is doesn't seem to be the industry standard, I want to apologize for the delay in getting this order processed. It has been like pulling teeth trying to get the resin in. We are going to stock the resin extra heavy to avoid any more delays this season. In addition we are going to over-winter some resin inventory so that we wont have a repeat of this issue next spring. I really do appreciate your business and sorry again for the delay. Russell ------- -

I believe there is a little bit of paraffin in the 500 series. The 200 series has alot of paraffin. It is considered 90%+ solids since the paraffin oil can be considered a solid. 500 series is 60-70% solids. -

TWP 500 and 200 series can be shipped to CA and the other low VOC states. The colors on my site for the 200 series are bland and they come directly from my manufacturer. I do have fan decks with the colors if you would like one. The 200 series would be comparable to Wood rich Stain and Seal without the technology -

Kevin-Chris uses the 100 series and it is not a paraffin oil. It has plenty of resin. The 200 series uses paraffin and resin. -

I appreciate all the nice comments! Honestly though I just ship out products the way that I would expect products to be shipped to me. -
Sealwize - Sealmaxx
Scott Paul replied to charlie's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
SealMaxx uses Seal-It out of Canada Sealwize uses a product out of Colorado called Zerovac, I think. The products actually will petrify and prevent rot. They will not do anything for UV discoloration or general dirt, which is the main reasons people do their decks. The problem is false marketing made by Sealmaxx and Sealwize, and whoevere else. They exploit a product for its attributes(rotting and decay) and lie to the consumer by not explaining (thoroughly) that you will still need to stain with a top coat like Wood Tux or TWP if you want the wood to look good. -

2008 Sealer Poll
Scott Paul replied to Beth n Rod's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
Cedartone 101 counts for 80% of our sales with TWP in the 100 series. In the 500 series, you may want to go with the 515 Light Cedar. Nothing wrong with the 501 Cedartone it is just more of a brown cedar color. -
I do have HD80, EFC-38, and Citralic in stock.

Curious to what people pay for their canvas tarps in the 9x12 and 4x15 (8-10oz weight) -
2008 Sealer Poll
Scott Paul replied to Beth n Rod's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
From what I understand the tax would continue to increase every year that it is made. That is why none of the manufacturers will do it. -
2008 Sealer Poll
Scott Paul replied to Beth n Rod's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
It is on the exempt list though. Example: The solvent based paver sealer I sell can only be sold to California if it has acetone in it. Problem is that I have to ship it Haz Mat due to the flamability of it. -
