We have been stripping paver sealers for about 10 years, mainly due to cheap sealers turning white and or bad sealing job with sand all over the top. The best way to strip is to use a methylene chloride based stripper. Dad's Stripper is a good brand that contains this chemical. Make sure to use a chemical respirator and protective clothing. Best way is to roll on in sections and use a turbo tip to remove. Once the stripper emulsifies the old sealer it will come off like you are removing a layer of white "skin". This old sealer needs to be pushed into grass or vegetation. IMO it is impossible to reclaim. Good Luck, it is not a fun job!

IMO, average. But I personally do not have a tremendous amount of experience using it. -

Honestly I just added the line this year. I honestly do not think I will sell that much of it since it is so readily available. I added it mostly for internet traffic since they are one of the bigger companies and they get the #1 rating for consumers report. -

Do you need a contractors license for pw business
Scott Paul replied to rc_freak's topic in Business Topics & Tips
Check with your state. Everyone is different. In Michigan you do not need to be licensed for power washing but you do need licensed as a Maintenance/Alteration Contractor if the job amount is over $600. No one checks though in Michigan and I am one of two people in my area that actually carries a license. -

The one we sell has everything but the cart. It can be fitted directly on top of a 5 gallon pail or you could mount it somewhere stationery and have extra hoses. -
We turned in a Buick car about 10 months ago and yesterday I saw that they charged me for onstar services for the next year. They told me that it was up to me to cancel the service even though we do not have the car. They said they would give me a credit only after I fax them proof. What a pain!

I hate promoting a water based product, but I have had numerous customers tell me the Defy Stain for Hardwoods out performed any previous stains they used. Granted these are HO's and I haven't any personal experience, but it might want to be considered. I'll get some samples for anyone who wants to do a test. Just send me an email and address. -

I have access to both low (250) VOC ATO and regular (550) VOC ATO. Is the current 550 VOC the same formula that everyone liked before the changes a few years ago or was that also modified? -
the quickest way to strip a deck
Scott Paul replied to perfect power wash's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
Down stream the sodium hydroxide is the quickest way to strip a deck. We average about 1 hour for a 400 foot deck to strip and brighten. -

My dealer prices for all the stains I sell went up 7-12% for every product. I'm sure Sunbrite is only passing on their price increase. -
Our residential work volume has been the same in michigan for the last 3 years. That's actually good compared to the majority of companies here. I've been lucky.

Scott Paul replied to dperrin's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
Dave- I appreciate your order yesterday. We are about 1-2 weeks away from launching our new site for contractors only: theprosealerstore.com (the new prices are not yet posted). Yesteday I was working on the prices for contractors and noticed you paid full HO price. I will adjust down your price to what the new levels will be. Roughly $11 off your invoice. Scott -

Could Use Opinions on Commercial
Scott Paul replied to PressurePros's topic in Business Topics & Tips
The music is not that bad, but it did make me think of it. I think people on the web are impatient. In my opinion they will not watch all of it. Two minutes is a long time for a commercial. Now if you took what you had and made it an interactive demo, then you would get people to watch all of it. Or maybe a 30 second "lead in" commercial then an optional link to a longer commercial.
