LiveActor for Website.
Scott Paul replied to Scott Paul's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
My bounce rate is actually down about 3% for 2009 versus 2008. 52% for 2008 versus 49% 2009. Page views per visitor is up slightly as well. Conversion is a little hard to read this year. I was down for May and June due to the weather but has rebounded nicely since. Overall I would say about the same. Never had anyone complain about the video but have had numerous customers tell me that they like it. The only time I seem to have any issue with it playing smoothly is when someone is on a wireless router. -

It was about $300 for the actor and integration. It seems to work just fine for the most part but when it doesn't it is pretty annoying with the choppy video. This is not my server just the users internet connection. It doesn't seem to hurt my sales though as my page views per person are the same with it or without it. -

I hate those grills! We leave them on as well and carfeully move them. Problem is that I have had customers move them after cleaning and before staining. -
Interesting Article on VOC Changes
Scott Paul posted a question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
Alkyds Are the New Green - Feature Articles - Paint and Coatings Industry According to this article the national regulation will change in 2011 and some of the States that are currently 250 VOC may actually adopt lower regulations then that in 2010. -
Interesting Article on VOC Changes
Scott Paul replied to Scott Paul's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
The current AC formula is 250 VOC comliant. Which means that if these changes go in effect 2011, AC will be able to be purchased in all states. The problem lies with the possibility of state or local counties adopting the lower 100 VOC limits. Currently the only place that has 100 VOC limits is 4 counties in Southern California: La County, Riverside County, San Bernardino County, Orange County AC is not compliant in these counties. Jake Clark did inform me last night that they already have a 100 VOC formula ready to go if need be. He has tested it for 2 1/2 years and said that it applied and performed the same as his current formula. In conclusion Jake said, AC is flat out ready to serve you and your valued customers for many decades ahead. Beth, I guess this means you will not need to use Penofin:) -

Problem will be if you get caught and it is not compliant, you will be facing extremely stiff fines. -

If Maryland goes 100 VOC you guys are going to be out of luck. The only oil based stain on the market that I carry that is 100 VOC compliant is Penofin Verde which is 0 VOC. -

TWP Cedartone replacement???
Scott Paul replied to Aplus's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
Tony, the 100 series will be replaced with a new series that is going to be VOC compliant. Also it is not set in stone that Michigan will change for 2010 but it is very possible. The rule also is that whatever is on the ground in 2009 can still be sold in 2010. This measn that a good dealer will buy enough inventory for the 2010 season by Dec 31st 2009. Of course when they run out there is no way to buy the 100 series again in Michigan. -
What the heck is this??
Scott Paul replied to bigchaz's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
I agree with Rod. It is not from a pressure washer but from some kind of chemical changing the pH balance causing the AC to stain differently. -
