Best way to mount two pumps to one engine
FullBlast replied to John.Harper's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
Thanks guys! Yea we like it, and have had very little trouble out of it. We had to rebuild the injection pump once and ad to change the clutch twice, and we had to replace the water pump last month because the wheel had broke around the shaft and it wasn't spinning anymore. -

Best way to mount two pumps to one engine

We use them as three seperate pumps, meaning three guys are running them. We do not connect those together. We have a time or so but not as a norm. So if we are only running 1 or 2 guys we will just disengage the slide clutch that each pump is mounted to. -
Best way to mount two pumps to one engine
FullBlast replied to John.Harper's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
It just has a shaft out the one end with a clutch on it. We have one big pulley with I think 9 grooves, and we have 2 pumps sitting on the one side and 1 pump out the other side. The 2 pumps that are beside each other have the pulleys beside each other. so the pump heads are right beside each other facing the same way but the pulleys are both in the middle of each pump. We had to take the one pump apart and put the shaft out the oppisite side to make that work. I hope that make sense. -

We have been running a 4cylinder John Deere with 3 8@3600 pumps off of it. It has been the dream machine for the last 16k hours. But I can't help you out with heat as it is just a cold water machine. But I have been following this thread because I am thinking of getting some burners to put on it. That Perkins will probably make a good engine. We have a 60hp Duetz that has around 15k hours and wouldn't trade it for anything. -
Way to go Chris!! Yea Jeff, I need one of those, since I didn't read the instructions the first time!! HA
-

What Roundtables are scheduled so far for 2012?
FullBlast replied to John T's question in The Club House
I want to plan on getting to one of them. We have to see which one I can work in!! -
Very nice looking flier you have there Jeff. I bet it has brought you a ton of work. It is very eye appealing but also it has some good content that will make a person read more. Thumbs up!!

I finally got myself one of those. What for nozzel do you use in it? And do you run it at half pressure? I tried it on a long wand and when I pulled the trigger the lance snapped back so fast it broke the quick connect off, and could hardly hang on to it. I threw it back in the truck.

I have a lady that needs to have her basement washed and cleaned. She says she has dogs, so I assume that they are kept in the basement sometimes. She is located in Reading PA. If you are located in that area and interested, let me know. fullblastpw@yahoo.com

House Wash mix and things to be aware of!
FullBlast replied to metcalfec's question in Residential Pressure Washing
Hello and welcome. I use a xjet but I don't use any proportioner, so it is a little hard for me to know just how your mix will be compared to my setup. But that mixture does sound like it would be about right considering the propotioner. I haven't had much trouble with it affecting other surfaces, except a few front doors. It seems to me that a maroon front door is the worst. I have had it tend to streak a little. Remember, Just rinse and rinse, and you should be good. -
You mentioned before and after signs. Do you mean you had one sign that youput in the yard when you bid and landed the job and then when you went back to do the job you changed the sign?

Working at gearing up for next year, reading, surfing the web, finishing the inside of my shop, and building an office in the shop. Hey lets see some of those radios!! A past time hobby for me is playing with old transmitters, like cb radios and ham radios. Got a bunch of friends around that I talk to. -

PCC Magazine Poll -- Truck or Trailer Mount
FullBlast replied to allisonhester's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
I have always been a fan of trailers. When I started I had a small 16' open trailer and I used it for about one year and bought a goosneck inclosed trailer, now I have a total of 3 enclosed trailers. Just a few things I like about a trailer over a truck unit is. 1. The trailer can be left at the jobsite if your there for more than 1 day. 2. If something happens to the truck you can hook another truck to the trailer and keep going. 3. You can use the truck for other things when you need to. 4. Everything goes in the trailer leaving no reason for the sides of the truck to be deted or scratched. 5. If your on the job and 1 washer breakes down or you need to run for a part, just unhook and the 2nd person can keep working. 6. Unless the truck has a box, your equipment is in the weather, which may be ok somewhere where it is warm. ( As I type this I have 2 trailers on the road and it is currently 18* with a 30mph wind). I know that there are cons to pulling trailers too, but this has worked for us. With that being said I am planning to put out first truck only rig on the road this coming year, along with the trailers. We shall see. -
