  1. Hello. Just stepping back in for the first time in a long time. First to answer the almost two year old question, I do not use my with a surface cleaner so I can't help you there. As far as checking the flow and it being below the rated specs, that don't sound right to me, When I take my nozzels out my flow rate goes up quite a bit, and thus it should because there is no restriction there to hold it back to whatever it is rated at. My 7.5 gpm pumps push out about 10 gpm with no nozzel. If your wondering what I use mine for, we use it to rinse down on big jobs sometimes and also we do drain cleaning with it, sure is the trick for doing that.
  2. 47-story fall kills cleaner

Hey please be careful out there guys!!!!!!!!! I don't like stories like that!!!
  3. hiring employee

All I have to say is don't start them too high, Because there speed and quality may not be as good a month from now as it was the first trial week. And it is hard to try to drop the pay rate, it don't work. And also don't let them by with things the first week just because they are new, If you let them do it the first week don't expect to change them a month from now and say " I didn't say anything at first because you were new and didn't want you to feel like I was down your neck". Come up with some work codes before he is hired and give to him, it don't have to be anything fancy but let him know what you expect out of him, what is alowed and what ain't.

Good point there on the injector, I had that problem one time, and seen others with the same.
  7. pump still pulsating

Has it done this from new or has it just started to do it? I changed one of my pumps awhile back with I forget what number of General pump and it would not work off a tank application. So I sent it back and got a different model and it works good.
  8. Gillette Foamy Shaving Cream

  10. More x-jet advice

Take the hose off the barbed fitting and the proportioner slides up into the barbed fitting.
  11. A Little Confused

Hey I'm a xjetter too!!! Yea there is some truth to what Mr. Pressure Pro said about getting it mixed right, but useing a bucket per side is pumping it out!! I use about 10 gal of mix on a normal house, .5-.75 of power house and 3 gal of 12. My thinking is it takes to long waiting for the chems to come by downstreaming, and I had a ton of trouble with the injector. Happy X-ing for me!!!:)

  17. new shur flo rig

I have a cord connected to my power washer battery with alligator clips that I clip on ever so often. I took a short extention cord and cut it in half and took the end with the female prong and wired it to the battery and the male end I put the aligater clips on and now all I have to do is plug the cord in and put the clips on the battery and charge it. I use a lawn mower battery. Works fo me!!!

  21. No by-pass

I have mine with the barbed fitting screwed in at the very top of the tank, so the water shoots straight across the take and runs down the far end, away from the feed side. Always something new to learn in this biz!!!!:)
  22. trailer brakes

Can't help you much here but the battery is just for the breakaway kit. Should not affect the brakes.
  23. No suction?

What brand of pump is that?? Some pumps are not made to suck, but I'd think one that big would.?.? I had a Landa 5.5 gpm and it worked great pulling from a tank.
  24. 5000psi 4.5 GPM machine?

Sometimes I wish I had 5000psi!!! But I sure wouldn't get no where with 2-4 gpm. I wish for 8-10 gpm at 5000psi. That would be a get-r-dun pump, but I done checked them out and they don't fit in my pocket book!! For regular washing forget the 5000 psi. get something with a lil bit more flow and less pressure.
  25. Gotta love these slideshows
