  1. I have 2 diesel p/w rigs.

In my one trailer I have a 60hp. Duetz air cooled with 2 general pumps mounted solid on it, it has no clutches what so ever and I wish many times it did but it was not designed for it when we built it(cheap you know) start the engine and it pumps.

The other trailer has a John Deere 90hp with 3 pump on slide clutches with just a handle to engage the, and it also has clutch on the engine too.

When I built it I had put air cylinders to engage them but had alot of trouble with compressor so I just use the manual handle to turn them on.

Let me know if you need them slide clutches I know where to get them.

  2. I would use 2 smaller one and put a slide clutch on the other one, actually the way I have my is I have 3 pumps on one diesel and I have slide clutches on all of them.

Lets you work on one and the other 2 are still runnin. Sure helps when you have trouble out on the job and ther is three fella there sitting around because one pump is down.

If for some reason you think you need more flow you can make yourself a hose with a T and put both pumps into one hose and double your volume but not the pressure.

    Just my 2 pennies.

  3. I have tried a lot of different degreaser, and some seem to work not to bad, but go ahead and laugh at me, but the Mean Green that you can get at the Dollar Store just works pretty good.

You know how sometimes when you wash a greasy joint out and it kinda splatters the grease on the machine, sometimes that lil smear is hard to get off, a shot of Mean Green works great.

Works for me, and it leaves a shine too!!

    Just 2 pennies...

  4. Does anybody else run Comet pumps??

    I have 7-Comet/p 7gpm/3600psi and wish I didn't have any of them!!!!!!

I have had an awful amount of trouble with the oil seals on them things, can't figure out what the deal is with them.

I have 2 pumps that have 500 hrs and have had 4 sets of seals and it still just running out the bottom!!!:(

Just found out must commercial pumps have a brass sleave that does not get scoured up when you bust a connecting rod and Comet does not have it.

I think that is "it" with me and Comet.

Good pumps but have to own a oil field to keep the lube in them.

In the last 2 year I have put around a total of 13,000 hrs on Comet pumps.

If you are having trouble now is the time to jump on Comet's hide, We just gave them a real run around this past week, The Dealer/Machanic that works on my washer was just down to GA last week for a Meeting with them and he let them have it, He said that he had the big guys out asking ?? and calling him later.

Maybe they will get their stuff together.

Anybody else have trouble with Comet seals??

I'm thinking of going with General, any input??

Just wish I didn't have these that I have to wear out first, thankfully the said they will replace 2 of them, I'm trying to get them just to give money for replacement, but that is probley a joke..

  5. Matt it doesn't bother me that there is alot of new competition because I'm still here. I advertise twice a year spring and fall one ad sometimes two.

I pulled up to a quote today driving my 1987 Toyota panel van . Still had my oily clothes on from yesterday. Fell a sleep in the van last night! On the way over I didn't have any breakfeast so I picked up a quart of Colt 45( in a paper bag of course). Gee , I thought the home owner's wouldn't be home? But I was measuring up the house and had to take a leak. So there I was peeing and the curtain swung open and up came the window ! Who are you? the owner said; the Power Pee'er, I, I mean Power Washer you called. I gave the name of the other Power Washer who had and Ad in the paper and got out of there pronto !!. Went home showered changed got my nice truck went back and got the job and they told me about my competitor. LOL

Thats funny right there I don't care who you are!!!!!!!!!!!!:lolsign:

  6. Back to the main subject, Here is something that I read today that may be something that you may want to keep in the truck for the next time you get up against the wall. LOL!!!!:)

    Man beaten with shampooer

A Lancaster man was charged with simple assault after borough police said he used a carpet shampooer to attack another man in the 400 block of Fairground Avenue.

Edgar D. Torres, no age available, hit the victim with the shampooer and kicked him when the man tried to stop Torres from hitting his vehicle on Sept. 27, police said.

  7. Why cant you print out the materials, mail them to yourself and put the unopened env. in a safe place. If there is ever a issue, have the judge open the env. with the date stamped on it from the post office.

I'm pretty dim on this one. I don't get how this works. Can you detail a lil more how this works????
